I’ve been so overwhelmed trying to figure out how to make repeating patterns, this is hands down the most simple and straightforward explanation I’ve seen, thank you!!
My mind is blown!! I have learned multiple ways of creating repeats in Procreate. This is BY FAR the easiest way ever!! And the tester . . . .😮😮😮😮❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
I'm just finding your awesome tutorials! THANK YOU! I just discovered that I need to create repeating patterns for our small business .. And this was SUPER helpful!!
Fantastic tutorial! I would like to add a tip: When duplicating the layers, always duplicate the original layer. Duplicating the other layers reduces crispness of the image, pixelation.
Hi, Ive recently started watching procreate vids and developed crazy amount of interest in it. The thing is Im not sure which ipad is best for this as my budget isnt for the latest releases. Could you please suggest any?
OMG 😱 Thank you so much, Lisa I’ve been searching for a tutorial for days now and everything was so complicated. You explained it so well and so easy I forgot how much I 💗 your channel now that I’m getting back into creating stuff on my iPad. I’m glad I found you again
You just gained a new subscriber! I’m truly impressed by not only your knowledge of your subject, but how clearly and easily you communicate your tutorials. And a bonus - they’re fun to watch!
This is the most straight forward simple tutorial with so much in under 15 minutes I've seen. As a person that knows how to use many softwares I was looking for a cost effective easy to use software for this purpose and you nailed it on how to! Thanks so much. I will be checking out your other videos.
Thank you for your wonderful tester to help check what you generously shared with us!! ! I love your way of repeating patterns it was so easy and less complicated!!! Thank you!
I've been making patterns for a while, and your method is super simple, clean, and effective. I didn't realize how many variations you could do from the one layout you showed.❤ This is a game changer
Thanks! Once i start selling I’ll send more! BTW, l’m trying to include a random pattern on the back ground but not sure how to know how far out from the center to add on the original.
Thank you so much! You'll want to make sure the pattern you add to the background is also a seamless repeat so it will tile properly. I have another video on more complex patterns if you want to check it out! Its on my patterns resource page: bardotbrush.com/patterns/
ya'll I'm about to go crazy! I have watched and repeated over and over and no one else in the comments seems to be having this problem but when I drop it into her app nothing lines up. I feel like when I figure out what I'm doing wrong I'm gonna be like Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh but right now I'm going cuckoo.
Hi, how can I print my pattern once it is made. I was able to look at the pattern on your website. But it still looks like just 4 squares in Procreate ?
Thank you for providing such comprehensive instructions. I just bought procreate for designing patterns that can then be used to print out on vinyl using a cricut. For this reason, it's important to get the line size just right. So far ive only found one tutorial for this and it uses an imported image they also already have the canvas open so i dont know how to set the size and dpi.. Would you consider making a video on this process?
I have just started my pattern journey with procreate and your tutorial is by far the best I have found! However, I am having issues when I resize my pattern squares..it leaves a little white mark on the edges. I make sure the orange cross hairs show up when moving, and the square is snapping in place. Any suggestions on how to avoid this?
I’ve just discovered you and I love the simple way you explain the process. My question is I’ve followed your instructions for the flower repeat but when I save it I don’t see the repetition. You show how to go to your website to see it completed but how do I do that? ☹️
Wonderful tutorial. Sweet and straight forward. Uploading a pattern to various sites: do you use RGB and 150dip/300dip? Thanks for your demonstation and tips. Excellent video.
After you created pink flower in layer 1 -at 2:27 and your white flower shows black bg, but mine shows pink. I tried n button and checkbox. Not sure what I haven’t done to get transparent like yours.
Can I ask how you finalize that pattern when finished? Or do I need to continue making layers to make them smaller in my actual procreate app? If you have a video for this can you please link, thanks!
Your tutorials are just THE BEST! Straight forward and fun! I've bought several of your brush sets and love them! Thanks for all the awesome content. ❤
Thank you for the tutorial. I think I have a basic question. I can’t figure out how to resize the Procreate window so that I can drop the image into your pattern tool. 12:55
You can resize the window by dragging the grey handle that is in the middle between the two windows. You can see more closely in my Gestures video: bardotbrush.com/30-procreate-gestures-shortcuts/ It's the last one, the bonus gesture at 8:34 in the video.
Hi, first of all thank you for this helpful tutorial on making repeat patterns! I followed all your steps, but as I put my final layer on to your repeat tester nothing happens at all. Any idea why? Thanks in advance ☺
Thank you so much! You explained it all so clearly! Would you recommend working in RGB or CMYK if you plan on bringing them to sites like Spoonflower? I think they mention wanting it in RGB but testing it in CMYK and that’s where I get all confused!
I always work in RGB, just understand that some of the brightest colors (especially bright greens) won't print exactly like you see them on the screen. Check out the visual aids on this page to learn more: bardotbrush.com/make-stuff/#rgb-vs-cmyk
@@BardotBrush thanks that post was very helpful! Can I ask if you’d recommend doing 150 dpi for Spoonflower versus the 300 you normally do? Or just stick with 300 and let them resize it?
I went to your Bardot Page but I can’t find where to click to join. It only gives me the option to sign in and sign up for email notifications. Help! There is no option to visualize a pattern. Am I missing something?
I was about to pull my hair out trying to create a repeat pattern. Everytime I loaded it into Spoonflower, it looked pixelated and edges didn't appear to line up. The repeat software you show in this video SAVED MY LIFE...and my hair...lol THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
It centers best when you only have one layer, or all other layers are turned off. Sometimes artwork that is large and closer to the edge has trouble snapping to the center vs the edge. I'd try turning down the distance and velocity sliders to see if that helps!
I’ve been so overwhelmed trying to figure out how to make repeating patterns, this is hands down the most simple and straightforward explanation I’ve seen, thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!
don't need to copy and drag shapes to the corners... just draw your shape in the middle and repeate it...
Well said. 👍🏻.

I went out and bought an iPad this morning just because of your video. Thank you so much for teaching this.
Thanks!
That was tremendously satisfying. As a matter of fact, this is exactly why I bought an ipad and procreate - mission accomplished. Thanks!

Great tutorial! How do you save the tile as a pattern that you can then use in other designs? I think I missed that step. Thanks!
I'm wondering the same
Copy canvas!? Omg I’ve been doing this manually 😩
Hi bardot brush!! This tutorial looks very fun!! Can't wait to try it out!!
Let us know what you think!
Sure will!
Lovely techniques 😍🔥🔥🔥. Thanks i really enjoyed
I line up the corners with the yellow lines both vertically and horizontally but the pattern is never right... there is overlap . Help Please!
I have tried ten times. Following instructions to a T. Pattern never lines up right

How can I save the canvas with the whole pattern on it? If i save the my canvas i just get the first 5 pieces i did
Loved this class, super fun and easy to follow! So once we have the flattened image can we save it as a jpeg or png to print onto fabric?💜
Great tutorial! Now I want to make all the things. 😂

Hello! Great video.
I have a question..Which color profile do you use to make an allover print (for fabric or clothing)?
This is so helpful! Thank you very much ❤

In all of your tutorials you are using an iPad Pro will the tutorials work with an iPad 9th generation?
Hi! where do you find all those mockups?

How save in repeat tester?
This is amazing thank you
I have a photo of an image that is not seamless. Would you be willing to create a video on how to make it seamless ?
I can’t get the repeat tester tool to work. Any tips?
I don’t have the flat markers in procreate? How do I get them?
Great video. Thank you
Hi, first of all thank you for this helpful tutorial on making repeat patterns!
I followed all your steps, but as I put my final layer on to your repeat tester nothing happens at all. Any idea why?

Try quitting your browser or try a different browser. Sometimes Chrome works better than Safari.

Nope. It’s free on the website.
