This song and choreo is visually stunning to watch. Lay is so precise, and the back-up dancers are a great complement to his dance style. I agree that the jacket did not help to see his dance form as well. Thanks for reacting to this fantastic performer.

Yay im glad she reacted to this and enjoyed it! I became obsessed with it since one of choreographers was on street dance of China with Lay. They do great work together.

I have to say Lay is doing something that no one else is doing in kpop dance wise. I have immense respect for people who appreciate his hardwork to bring in something new every time he works on his mvs. Most idols do the same one tone power hiphop these days..the difference is really who can do it in a more sexy way or with more sexy facial expression...

This dance and song is related to Buddhism, and Buddhist gestures are numerous and can be seen in some traditional Indian and Thai dances interspersed with Chinese Yin-Yang Taoist gestures. The thirteenth-minute choreography is like a blooming lotus flower, the middle three are stamens, and the rest are petals. Because the lotus has a high status in Buddhism, it means purity.

So dope how she linked it to Asian god/goddess motifs and how the shadows play into the dance visual. Really love when reactors point out details I would not have thought of it makes my appreciation for the performance deeper.

Just based on the visualizer I know the MV was gonna be another epic one from Lay. Hate we didn't get the full MV. The perfectionist in that man would not let him release it.

This dance is inspired by the Dunhuang style in which the flexed foot is essential to the dance. Just to let you know Shen Yun show is sponsored by a cult group.

i absolutely adore this song and the way yixing put together the music with the visuals(choreo and visualizer) he's such a visionary with his music and as his fan i love witnessing his artistic growth 🥺 i really appreciate being introduced to the culture by a pop artist and seeing people enjoying it too.
Love this reaction and analysis feel like everyone is in awe of this preformance just as i am.

OMGG !! I'm currently binge watching all Ceecee's reaction! As a person who loves to dance her criticism in dancing some how motivates me, and I love how she doesn't just sit and stair at the screen and love how much she unfolds every detail in dancing! I love her so much!!
( btw since you showed her almost all the MALE idols in AOTM, It would be interesting to see her react on FEMALE idols in AOTM! Can she react to it? or perhaps yall are already planning on it? either wise we would be very thankful to any content you release!! Thank you so much for the efforts!!)

Woah.. She is really good and thorough in her analysis.. I love the way she so serious watch the video.. Can I ask something about choreo? This choreo create by huang xiao, he always focus in him style, mix urban jazz and tai chi.. But in this choreo he put some waacking move.. Tai chi is about slow move but on point.. Lay it self have a krump basic, u can see it in him gesture.. Hope u have a space time to react other dance practice from lay zhang..

Flying Apsaras is super artistry in terms of song composing and the dance choreography. It is a waste that cannot have a complete mv. The visualiser video is already stunning, I can't imagine how the actual mv gonna looks like. I heard Lay Zhang spent a lot of money on the production of the mv.

  • @XNA761

This dance element is indeed Chinese, inspired by the traditional Chinese Flying Apsaras dance.
The inspiration comes from the Dunhuang Flying Apsaras dance, as Dunhuang in China (where the real scene in Lay's MV was shot) is famous for its Dunhuang murals. These murals are ancient Buddhist murals with a history of thousands of years, and among the famous murals are the flying apsaras. The Flying Apsaras dance originates from this.
Of course, you could also say that this dance has many Asian elements because Buddhism came from India. So, you can certainly see many basic elements of Buddhism in this dance, such as the Thousand-Hand buddle.

Seeing people analysing choreographies always makes my day. But wow!!! her reactions are so detailed that she makes me try looking at every movement of a dancer much more closely. Ngl after watching videos with her i started enjoying choreographies on another level... Also I'd really appreciate if you react to some videos of B.I dancing, to my thought he's certainly an underrated dancer!!! He's dropped a new album not a long time ago and there's a dance practice of BTBT, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. Thanks for all the things you guys do for us!!!

I was wondering if CeeCee was going to talk about the other Asian influences in this dance too. I'm not a dancer either but I also wish that Lay didn't wear his jacket it distracts away from his movements and makes you focus more on the other dancers.
