That is why he is the idol of all this new kpop male idols. They just trained watching Kai stages. To think he influencied even to his closest friends and kpop senieors. Before he went viral back in 2014 with his Deep Breath MAMA stages kpop was trending with all hard hoping urban styles and it was nice but all idols were like look at my popping. Kai went to prime korean television and said look at my double piruete and bam! There is a reason he was pick to open korean winter Olympics stage in that viral korean traditional coreography. Man has alot on his bag yet still working to better himself as an artist
Kai has been praised by many professional choreographers for being the most balanced technical dancer who can basically dance any type of genre but also expressive enough to tell a story which is what truly makes him an amazing performer.
When idol dancers before was just about popping and locking, then Kai came along with his contemporary dance solos and other idols started doing it too. Kai is the blueprint.
I feel like crying. Everyone knows he’s an amazing dancer but like still. I can’t help but cry whenever he’s appreciated.
I didn't knew He was a Band member, but _Kai's dance moves are some of the most precise n and Clear ones I have ever seen, apart from actual pro dancers like from Jabbawokeez, or might even be better since he his body is adept in Classical, which means he can literally kill any style if he wants._

Kai is the best dancer in kpop FOR ME! And it's all for everything that you said and more, his movements, his precision, his control, his stability, his strength, and most of all...his passion. Not all dancers can move like him, and not all great dancers can captivate you with their dance like him. He's just the best! More of Kai please! And EXO too!

Fun fact: Kai as a Chinese character/symbol means door, so as a member of EXO -- and a member of EXO-K -- Kim JongIn was given the stage name Kai to represent the fact that he is the member the is the door that connects the two halves of EXO (EXO-K and EXO-M) together. He is a member of the Korean half of the group, but his name comes from a Chinese word, which creates a connection between EXO-K (Korean) ajd EX)-M (Mandarin). As the center of the group he is supposed to be the one that can open the door and bring the members together. And that is why his character was given the ability to teleport. So because of this, when Kai choreographs his own routines he often incorporates doors or uses moves that represent the opening of doors, etc. This is just one example of how almost everything EXO does is connected to the group's concept and storyline.

I feel so happy for kai and that many professionals talk about his dance. Kai doesn't just show a normal technical dance, he shows a story in each dance. Thank you for reacting to this! I completely agree with your comments about Kai's articulation. I feel that with a choreography like this it could be easy to lose and muddy up the movements but they were always so clear and defined. I highly recommend that Ola reacts to Ten & Winwin's 'Lovely' Choreography, it has a contemporary/modern feel with Chinese traditional influence and I think you would really enjoy it.

@@Koko3op I'd definitely love to see an intentional analysis of the performance. I'd also like to suggest the performances from the show 'Hit the Stage' where idols competed with dance crews each week. It shows some of the most talented dancers in the industry imo. If you're looking for more contemporary I'd suggest Hoya's + Choi Hyojin stage for the 'This Love' themed week. Ten's 'Devils' and 'Uniform' (a personal favourite of mine) performances are also excellent and also Momo + Mina's 'Dangerous Love' stage. Hit the stage in general is a goldmine for idol dance reactions, they do tons of themes and styles with plenty of idols.

I love watching Kai dance, not only because he is incredibly talented at it but because he loves it and he transmits it through his performances. He uses every fiber of his body to express whatever concept the performance is about and his love for dance is geniune
