Yes Paul i have to agree with you i do think it was a nice hotel and as you say the staff were pleasant and courteous which is important. You were obviously happy with the cost of the room and i agree it was reasonable. It was nice to see the older people dancing and enjoying themselves. Very spacious and decorative. For any hotel or Guest House its obviously very important once they get good reviews, they keep them, and maintain those standards at all times.
Great video! I completely agree with everything you say. If I'm staying somewhere like this for a few nights I can overlook the out-dated decor or a few marks on the walls so long as it's not mouldy. If the bed and room are clean, and there is hot water and clean towels for a shower I'm happy. The option of the entertainment is also a very welcome extra! Maybe I'm just easily pleased? 🤷🤣 For the location, the size of the room and the entertainment provided £69 per night is definitely reasonable for one person and downright cheap if split between two. Especially with breakfast included as well, which looked basic but generously portioned. If I was going to be in Blackpool for a weekend, the Lyndene would definitely be on my list of places to consider booking. Thanks for the great review, and I look forward to more in the future!
It is tired. The public areas are a colourful bright and welcoming stark contrast to the external colour. It looks bloody aweful during day light. It does look better when illuminated in the evening. I do like the Viking as I stated before. I have many friends who have stayed at The Lyndeane and they love it. ❤😂
Paul really great value for money. The staff make these hotels successful. You can look beyond the dated areas if you are treated right and are valued as a customer. Great insight thanks Paul. Often passed the Lyndeane but never stayed there. As I said folk I know who have love it.😊😊😊😊😊
My husband and I stopped in a standard double in October. I agree with you 💯 on the room, they are very dated, our room was not a sea view, the carpet was very stained and the back of the tv was full of dust but everything else was on point and yes we'll definitely return 😊
Love the Lyndene admittedly its a bit tired but its clean nice comfy beds and food is nice no complaints and the staff are friendly and are attentive willing to help you when you need nothing is any trouble.
Love the Lyndene..We stay there every time we are in Blackpool..Rooms are clean as are the beds..I agree it is a bit tired looking..But great hotel and great value for money
I travel a lot with my wife around the world and we stay in lovely hotels . But this is still so so important to me and part of who I am , a British seaside holiday in a clean room beautiful staff breakfast and all that entertainment lol what’s not to like and I would 100 per cent stay there , superb
Good video myself and my wife are regulars at the lyndene and wouldn't go anywhere else, fabulous staff, very helpful, food and entertainment spot on,can't ask fore more than that 16:22
That was a great price for a sea front hotel in Blackpool. It's a lovely hotel and especially the bar area at night with all the little Christmas lights on, it looked so cosy and welcoming. I would defo stay at this hotel. It's also brilliant that you get all that entertainment included in the price. Now i want to binge watch all your Blackpool videos. Great hotel review 👍
Hi my name is Angela jolley me and my daughter have stayed at the lyndene quiet a few times never had a problems very friendly staff lovely atmosphere nice residents have stayed at other hotels but do like lyndene hotel will always stay there WWE are going again soon thanks for the video
Another great review Paul yes not a bad price at all ‘agree a bit tired plenty of entertainment tho sorry I seem to be watching a backlog of your reviews Paul but only found you channel last week and it’s a very good channel many thanks
Paul hi, thank you for this video it was really good. I stayed in the Lyndene three times since 2014 I live here in Blackpool. The Lyndene is the most comfortable in my opinion. However Tiffany’s the Pink one on North Shore is also nice. Would you be able to visit that one and compare them please. Thank you.
Visited many years our favourite Blackpool hotel, Went down in our view when the Lancashire lads and ladies left the DIining room sevices and all sea views were occupied by long term residents from aboroad
I used to drive the 144 miles to drop my late parents to the Lyndene, then pick them up the week after, the only time they didn't enjoy it was when their bedroom was directly above the ballroom/dancehall, but otherwise an enjoyable weeks stay.
Grear video stayed a few times and enjoyed it everytime bar when it was table service only due to covid restrictions took an hour to get a drink! Apart from that one bad expeirence if its a reasonable price the Lynedene is always one ill book!
Good value for money though I agree the room needs updating with better lighting. Great to see a bit of Christmas 🎄 cheer to combat storm Debbie. I'd stay it seems like a hotel that makes an effort 😊
Booked a room at this place one Easter weekend, paid for before we arrived. When we arrived they wanted another £200 for 3 nights because it was Easter. No mention of that when we had already booked and paid. Altogether £600 for 3 people 3 nights. The evening meal was kept warm for hours due to the amount of guests. The room was clean. This was before Corona virus.
My parents have been going here for last few years for Christmas 23rd - 27th December.. they say its really nice.. but for over Christmas you have to book ASAP as it gets booked up really fast
Another great review thank you. Yes I would stay at the Lyndene, if I wasn't living in Blackpool, because as you showed in your video there is always great live entertainment. I do usually slow down while walking past to listen to the singer. The owners of the Lyndene Hotel also owned St Chad's Hotel and terrace, which was just access Woodfield Road, which they demolished in April 23. The plan is to build a brand new St Chad's Hotel, then demolish the Lyndene, build a new Lyndene and join the two with a connecting bridge. These old Victorian buildings were added onto, over the years and are all split level with narrow corridors and not suitable for elderly and disabled people. Hopefully when the new hotels are built they won't become too expensive for their current guests.
Iv never stayed at the lyndene.but after watching your video and reviews i definatly look into going next year . certainly looks like value for money.jusy needs a little bit if tlc as the room looked dated and tired.but value for money.thanks for a brillient video and for braving storm debbie
Have you reviewed The Cliffs ? We had been going for decades, was horrified at our latest and sadly last visit in sept 23 the smell alone throughout the hotel enough but sadly that was just the start, we would love your thoughts on this once great old lady of Blackpool and it’s demise and impending doom.
Been to this hotel a few times, always enjoyed it. I agree its very tired looking. What I really think is need is grab rails in the shower cubicles. I bashed my toe really bad one year, can’t remember why, but a grab rail would have been useful. Considering how many older people use this hotel for dafety reasons I’d have thought there would have put them in.
Needs updating quite tatty too the only hotel l stay at is the hotel sheraton its lovely and modern service and food is excellent beautiful decor also highly recommended gotta book early though
The room peter kay had filmed in, we had just stayed in that room, the same paper and the window handles were hanging down, but love the old hotels, seeing everyone singing very nostalgic, to me thsts the blackpool with the variety acts, don't like modern things
If you're looking at places in Blackpool to check out, try The Avansi, lovely couple, awful hotel, they helped myself and my 10 year old granddaughter out at very short notice. A very good location but awful is an understatement. We wished was stopping in the lyndene hotel as it looks very appealing from the outside.
Hi paul, am glad you have done a review on this hotel as i have never been here, but the Mrs has always wanted to go, Am hoping to go to this hotel soon, now i have seen a video on it, I agree the room u stayed it looked very dated, but for the price was spot on. Keep doing what you do best 👍
Didn't like the patchy appearance on the room walls, the ceiling looked the same. A redocration might be in order. Always check around hidden parts of the bed for signs of bed bugs. They are even in the most expensive hotels as well.
We're booked for Dec tand t.looks good value fully inclusive.the company that own it has the property next door that was demolished. New hotel going to be built on the plot. Think they plan on demolish lyndene then and join them over road.
Nice video Paul, i wonder if your original hotel got cold feet knowing you were on your way and decided to be full of a sudden or is that just me being cynical ?😁, Consider subscribed.
Never drink out of hotel cups .. ugh cleaners wipe inside of cups with same cloth they clean toiler shower basin bedside table and anything that they wipe down .. same cloth for everything best off at little BnB
When we went as a family we was ripped of the staff was ok was very hot and they didnt put on air condtioning on it was awful and hell will freeze iover before we every go back
We stayed at the Lynden hotel 2023 T&T never again three nights they ran out of evening meals not just us other guests As well, we ask for refunds which eventually they did give ....it is dated and had to chase on two night towels ....thier pricing of drinks whats included and whats not included leaves a lot to be disered....found to much of the same entertainment on one night three singers. Could do with a verity of different acts compare ok singer, but not good with audience....anyway won't be staying there again .... parking can also be difficult we booked a sea view and got a standard back room overlooking walls and bins ...I gave up at this point couldn't wait to get home 😢
Not going to name the hotel it was more the booking agencies error they should not be allowed to over book accommodation, the hotel did contact me immediately once i'd booked it but the cancellation message went in my spam folder, I only discovered the error once the hotel told me
This hotel is scheduled for demolition and rebiulding I believe as it's owned by the Fragrance Group who have already knocked down the hotel next door.
Breakfast didn’t look that great would prefer McDonald’s. Wouldn’t be bothered to much about the decor of the room as long as it’s clean and in a good state of repair.

Thanks for the great review, and I look forward to more in the future!
The value is there for sure all clean thst is what you want plus nice staff thst is a bonus
If you know Phoenix Nights, this hotel was the Ponderosa, owned by Jim Bowen! “Sunshine Indoors”
It is tired. The public areas are a colourful bright and welcoming stark contrast to the external colour. It looks bloody aweful during day light. It does look better when illuminated in the evening. I do like the Viking as I stated before. I have many friends who have stayed at The Lyndeane and they love it. ❤😂
It looks lovely hotel nice breakfast is it near the beech
Watching this video again, I love this one, this is defo one of my favourite videos from your channel 👍
Paul really great value for money. The staff make these hotels successful. You can look beyond the dated areas if you are treated right and are valued as a customer. Great insight thanks Paul. Often passed the Lyndeane but never stayed there. As I said folk I know who have love it.😊😊😊😊😊

My mum and late father used to go here every single yr and loved it and like the turns as well 🙂🙏🏻
We stayed there last yr for turkey and tinsel. Enjoyed so much coming back this yr. Bit dated but cosy. Definitely value for money
This is the only hotel we stay at everytime we go to Blackpool
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I went to the lydean for years with my hubby and we loved it now I'm on my owne as my hubby passed away 9 years ago miss him so much
What lovely and cherished memories you have and in times we may never see again.
Have you returned by yourself ?
What a great place I cannot believe how cheap it is.
Good video myself and my wife are regulars at the lyndene and wouldn't go anywhere else, fabulous staff, very helpful, food and entertainment spot on,can't ask fore more than that

Well done again Paul. I agreed with everything you said - our minds must be very similar. Keep em coming. 👍👍👍
Always fair in your opinion. I'd stay, looked fun! Cheap and cheerful, but clean and comfortable
Totally agree!
I thought it was a little dated, but I think there was something charming about it. Loved the cabaret 😊
A great video I would stay there in a heartbeat it was well worth the money
Excellent hotel, stayed there a few times.
Great entertainment and staff.
You got a bargain!👏👏👏👏

Probably all ready for turkey and tinsel coach trips where you're out most of the day and in the bar/pub all evening so don't notice the room.
Hi my name is Angela jolley me and my daughter have stayed at the lyndene quiet a few times never had a problems very friendly staff lovely atmosphere nice residents have stayed at other hotels but do like lyndene hotel will always stay there WWE are going again soon thanks for the video

These Hotels at Blackpool amaze me, who stays here for any length of time?
Staff & Hotel looked great.
They start Christmas in October bless them. 😃

Brill Hotel, clean, good food, entertainment first class, many repeat custom, mam and I can be seen 9min 50secs onto video
Stopped there it was well worth the money
As always I enjoyed this video. A comfortable bed, good food ,good entertainment and good value for money is more important than 70's decor.
Thats like the ritz compared to sum of the dumps in blackpool ive stayed at
Well after hearing that I think I will give it a go sounds fun
The room peter kay had filmed in, we had just stayed in that room, the same paper and the window handles were hanging down, but love the old hotels, seeing everyone singing very nostalgic, to me thsts the blackpool with the variety acts, don't like modern things
A friend of mine DJ's there on a Saturday night and keeps telling me to try it sometime
Which hotel were you originally going to review? Was it a Britannia Hotel (owned by Pontin’s parent company)
Not going to reveal the name it wasn't really the hotel fault more the booking agency.
If you're looking at places in Blackpool to check out, try The Avansi, lovely couple, awful hotel, they helped myself and my 10 year old granddaughter out at very short notice. In the words of Mrs. Doyle.....ah go on.........go on , go on, go on, go on, go on, go on.......!@@whoknowswhere
Hi paul, am glad you have done a review on this hotel as i have never been here, but the Mrs has always wanted to go,
Am hoping to go to this hotel soon, now i have seen a video on it,
I agree the room u stayed it looked very dated, but for the price was spot on.
Keep doing what you do best 👍
bargain ,really good hotel
The room was ready because you booked it late. If you booked it in the morning time and turned up not long after the room wouldn't of been ready
I know one of the singers. Yes I might stay there
Yes love the lyndene been there twice very friendly staff and customers carnt wait to go back
I stay in Blackpool a lot I will give this hotel a try looks good to me ❤
Hope you enjoy it!
Like singing at nursing home 😂
What was the view like in the room?????????
It's in the video
Looks like a box room I hope you didn’t over pay
Didn't like the patchy appearance on the room walls, the ceiling looked the same. A redocration might be in order. Always check around hidden parts of the bed for signs of bed bugs. They are even in the most expensive hotels as well.
Good value for money all anyone wants is a clean hotel comfy bed and goodfood you seemed to get it all plus you got a visit from thr man himself santa
We're booked for Dec tand t.looks good value fully inclusive.the company that own it has the property next door that was demolished. New hotel going to be built on the plot. Think they plan on demolish lyndene then and join them over road.

You wouldn’t think you was at a hotel
I would definitely recommend the Lyndene! I'm biased though because I work there 😂 And your right, that striped wallpaper isn't nice.
goodnight
is it ment to be nice there?
Do they do all inclusive option my friend
Yes I think its about £265pp for 5 days including Christmas Lunch, but check with the hotel, the price may change closer to Christmas
nice x
A steal at 69.00 nothing to complain about from how you checked it out. Yes dated but very acceptable
The room is dated, needs redecorating, reception other rooms look fine, good amount of entertainment on offer, so reasonably priced for the location 😊
I agree with you
No me and my brother Graham won't go back to the LYNDENE HOTEL
not bad really
Room very tired, otherwise okay.
Someone in Cumbria are selling their weekend booking for x2 adults and x2 children for £100
The public not fully bought they probably know that you're gonna record that
We stayed at the Lynden hotel 2023 T&T never again three nights they ran out of evening meals not just us other guests As well, we ask for refunds which eventually they did give ....it is dated and had to chase on two night towels ....thier pricing of drinks whats included and whats not included leaves a lot to be disered....found to much of the same entertainment on one night three singers. parking can also be difficult we booked a sea view and got a standard back room overlooking walls and bins ...I gave up at this point couldn't wait to get home 😢
WHAT, £35 a night ? with a full English breakfast? Good acts on of a night as well, very good value!
Which was the other hotel 😢
This is what I want to know!
I have stayed there once but it was very busy a bit busy xk
Not going to name the hotel it was more the booking agencies error they should not be allowed to over book accommodation, the hotel did contact me immediately once i'd booked it but the cancellation message went in my spam folder, I only discovered the error once the hotel told me
Thank u anyway have a good time xp
This hotel is scheduled for demolition and rebiulding I believe as it's owned by the Fragrance Group who have already knocked down the hotel next door.
How much did iy cost
Can't remember I normally say in the video I think £69 x
Breakfast didn’t look that great would prefer McDonald’s. Wouldn’t be bothered to much about the decor of the room as long as it’s clean and in a good state of repair.
Fair enough!
The room definitely needs up dating great video Paul Great price 😊❤
Apparently the whole hotel will be knocked down...just like the St Chads was earlier in the year, same owner, making way for a new modernised hotel(s)
Good night 4:29 4:31
