I so badly wish we could play the events of Warcraft 3 in wow. Not just the few scenarios in Caverns of Time. Or maybe a more in depth Warcraft RTS game. Like it's definitely one of the if not the most impactful parts of the entire lore and its the shortest and easiest campaign in Warcraft 3.
don't forget the revamp where dude was slain as the horsemen only to be brought back by scarlets messing around with fel magic and fel rituals. We did it once gotta do it again and put the dude to rest.
Some people may tell me to just read the original stories whether they be novels/books/comics but...seriously why not make some sort of video media for Warcraft stories like this! TV Shows, Movies, an anime could be sick honestly.
Idk the guy in the cave who had spiders eat his eyeballs and had to run around blind hearing his friends scream for a few days, until we "rescue" him only to get him dissolved alive in acid, might have suffered a little more.
He doesnt come back every year because of a curse, he didnt kill his family, he didnt lose everything in the same way that thomas did. Yeah its tragic but definitely didnt suffer more
They have chilled, they need to go back to this kind of writing 😭😭 early lore stories depict the horror of the universe so well. Lately Blizzard has really been pulling punches to keep the plot more family friendly. I really miss the stories that show the absolute horror and madness that the evil within the warcraft universe can inflict, it brings so much more realism to the story even if it sometimes is hard to digest. It also feels so much more satisfying to vanquish those foes that terrorized the general populace. BfA Sylvanas was really the last good example of this, since Shadowlands you don't really see the grime and grit of the warcraft universe anymore, it all feels pretty muted.
