Excellent stuff, really hoping we get a better summer this year so we get more riding time!
Hopefully we’ll get to make some more two stroke vids👍

Went from aYamaha FS1E to Suzkuki GT185, Yamaha RD250DX & then 350LC before moving over to 4 strokes.
My GT 185 was mild tuned with widened inlet/raised exhaust ports & head skim to bring compression ratio back up & could crack an indicated 90 on a good day. The RD 250 had the same again but with electronic ignition fitted so it would rev to over 9500rpm without holing a piston (on std points you could hole pistons over 9000) so a true 100mph bike. Also fitted decent shocks & had forks "production raced tuned" & fitted Michelin S41 racing compound tyres.
I got a early 350LC & it was garbage! Yamaha recalled it & fitted new barrels on it & it went much better, after being tuned again it flew upto around 100mph & topped out around 110. Again handling was improved with new rear shock "production race" fork internals, soft race pads & braided hoses + sticky Michelin tyres.
On the North Yorkshire roads where I live, a light good handling lightweight bike totally destroyed the big heavy 4 strokes of that era, that cornering speed & agility along with the way they fired out of corners on roads where over 80-90mph was the limit
Almost forgot I briefly had an X7 which was fitted with Micron exhausts( loudest exhaust system ive ever heard-painfull!)& painted in Skoal bandit colour scheme, only had it a couple of weeks before a very pretty lady bought it off me. It hadn't been set up right wouldn't rev cleanly high up the rev range (so primary/main jets & possibly throttle bodies out) but never got a chance to play with it.
On standard suspension it wallowed around a bit when pushed & the front brake was weak.
Jeez all this around 40yrs ago, but dodging sheep during night riding was the worst experience, always upgraded headlamps to Cibie units ASAP to help see where you were going ( popular mod back in the day)

Interesting stuff, thanks for sharing. Hopefully I’ll do some more 2 stroke videos soon.

i would,nt class them as mountains ,more like big hills and valleys . you wanna see mountains ,you need to go, to north wales or scotland . it,s when only south walens come up north ,the realize what real mountains are lol . kate got it right ,there hills . i had a suzuki gt200 x5 when i was 16 .yellow one .
