For us that live north of you, forget the brush cutting. Fit it with a good snow blower. You can clear the driveway and or sidewalk from the comfort of a warm house!!! That is a winner!
That's a great idea. When I lived in MN I tell you the worst thing was having to wake up early in the morning and go outside and blow snow before you went to work. Miserable way to start the day.
I really have to give Mike a big compliment I mean he missed his calling. He’s very good at doing these videos and explaining things in Laymans terms and he did very good on camera. Awesome job Mike explaining everything it is so hard to talk on camera. Keep the conversation on point and be as informative and has tune. As is Mike Iz awesome job.

Its not even really laymans terms.. Its more rubber to the road type explinations.. Hes talking to people that gets how it works by knowing how its built. Not how many horsespecs it has
That mower is very well designed and thought out. Details that are spot on, the changeable fuel can and spare remote charging dock on the machine. That’s amazing the forethought put into this. I’m impressed.
Hay, Mike & Crew! Kudos to the Folks at Dixie Chopper for the demo! What and awesome machine. Those of us who mow steep banks know all about the pucker factor. This fine machine takes that away. Great video! Lee
This machine is a dramatic upgrade for safety, so many operaters have been injured or killed mowing steep grades. Certainly expensive for the average homeowner but in the right area it could possibly be a profitable piece of equipment.
That was impressive. Your dam is steep, heck your whole hillside is steep. The hillside at the 4H fairgrounds could benefit from this device. Nice machine.
Mike, knowing I’m watching the History Channel - when was this filmed? October standing grass is far easier to cut than February standing grass. As it weathers, it is WAY more difficult to get a decent cut as it absorbs moisture and starts to fall and is susceptible to “pushover”. I have commercial bush-hogging experience for power line right of ways (so hundreds of miles of cutting) and I was sufficiently impressed!
That Dixie Chopper is just the ticket for that job. Sittin' on top of the hill in the shade of the golf cart, Pepsi close by. Not a bad way to relax and take care of difficult task.
2 places I could see this being beneficial to you, Mike. 1, the fair ground with that hill that's really steep, you cut it using the Minotaur, 2, the customer that asks you to chop down the grass, the place with the cliff face at the bottom of the slope. Be a pretty penny to buy I bet.
That thing is awesome ❤ Arron would be having to much fun with that thing in the job site! In all seriousness, if you have the need for one of those things it's much safer and incase anything goes wrong the loss isn't potentially a life or a skid steer. Technology has its place in the the proper application. Great stuff. Hope Arron gets one 🙏🏼
Wow that's a great video. Looked like it did a decent job for the environment it was in. I'm glad you get the opportunity to showcase the equipment for us to see. Stay safe
I’ve seen just about all these type mowers come to market at the equip expo in Louisville each year.. @DixieChopper is on top of the game from what I’ve seen!! Very impressive RC mower.. I’ve owned 5 different mowers from Dixie over the years and I’ve loved every one of them. It was hard for me to come to terms with these type mowers when they first came out.. and they STILL have a long way to go on the “Commercial” side.. But seeing this one actually in action.. I definitely see a place for them. Way to go @DixieChopper !! I think you just stepped up the game !! Yall stay blessed @DirtPerfect !!
I really enjoyed that. Mike I don’t know actual size of the area but it looked like you and Aaron mowed a large area in a short amount of time. Thanks again!!!!!!!!
The thing that impresses me most is Aaron’s dedication to getting the perfect action shot, even in the most exacting and difficult terrain. MBTS deserves an Oscar for cinematography.
Even Granny would cut the grass while the automatic washing machine is doing the laundry and dinner is in the slow cooker preparing the family supper. Great demo, that machine definitely has possibilities.😃🤖💥👍
Another question: if you had one of these Dixie Choppers, would you be far more willing to cut that hillside more than once a year making it easier each time? AND giving a better cut - that grass, especially since you could tell it was damp, was probably worse case scenario for that machine.
Having brush hogged my share of acres, I'm impressed! That machine certainly does the job well. Yes, a second cut was needed here, but I doubt anything could leave that hill perfect in one cut. No personal need for it, but loved seeing it in action! Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. I’ve always liked just about anything made by Dixie Choppers, I’m finding the trend is continuing. That is one sexy little beast. Really liked your camera perspective when you had one on it. I’m guessing it wouldn’t be much to add the wireless camera from a farm tractor rear view and you would be really dangerous. Just mount the screen on your chair in the living room. This definitely has some huge potential depending on the cost to the customer. Thinking back compared to the brush hog on the excavator I’d say it’s not as impressive but the entry price is hopefully far lower and skill far less if you don’t already have a suitable excavator. The only other comparison I have ever seen was a mower my employer had for mowing earthen hydro dams and I only saw it once on the back of a trailer on my way out the gate from working nights. Looked something like a giant green ride on frisbee maybe 20 feet in diameter with really wide and short tires. That being said I couldn’t tell you which probably cost more, that or this. All things being said I really like the design elements with the fuel and engine oil. Wish those oil runtimes were available on consumer backup generators. Wishing you and your family the best.
The possibility of hiring out with one of these RC mowers are endless! Very great presentation from their team of its use and capabilities. I can picture a lawn chair and umbrella earning a comfortable living with no exertion.👍
Impressive machine. For angle reference, a standard roof pitch 6/12 or angle is 22 1/2 degrees, a 12/12 pitch is 45 degrees. 55 degrees is 10 degrees steeper or approximately a 15 over 12 pitch which would be like looking at an A frame house roof. The side angle view where the mower was coming toward the camera and looking back toward the water really showed how steep.🤙
If you would have one of these it would probably get mowed more often so you cant bash it for the cut quality which you real didnt. Great video!! Thanks for sharing 😊
With a little bit of tech you could put on a gps with tracking software and it could run its self. This is a great invention and I hope you guys make millions.
I work for a road dept here in WA and we have to mow some hillsides and easements that are pretty steep. I'd say about 25-30 degrees. We use a Cat 299D3 skid steer with a mower on it. One of our hillsides ends in a cliff that is about 150 feet above Puget Sound. I wouldn't mind having one of these, though I'm not sure it would work in the blackberries and ivy we have here. I think they got a good idea but to be honest, if they want public works and DOT's to take them seriously they are going to have to beef up that deck. If it can't mow up to 4" diameter saplings and brush, they won't be interested.
Now I have cut some tall weeds/grass in my life and some of them have been on hills like this.. I would love to have had this great machine as it is doing a fabuous job.
The capabilities of that thing are pretty amazing! It isn't something everyone could use, but they seem to be focusing on the right customer. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, what an awesome remote controlled mower! My next question is obviously does it end up being able to get electric or solar powered next option maybe? Seem to do a really great job that was a lot of tall grass for that to cut into. I can imagine the amazing job. It does on lower cut services
DP you were talking about mowing from your living room and the fact that the mower had no cameras on it. With the drone parked overhead you can see what it's doing real well and probably really could mow your hill from your recliner.
Tried a similar type thing a few years ago ,same idea looking at doing motorway and park area steep slopes it worked well even in the wetter grass ,the fact you could stay away from it in case it did slip or roll was a key factor plus nobody sitting in or walking behind was a big factor.pretty expensive though
at a first glance I thought it was a flail mower style, but hey, a flex swing twin blade is just as nice and more so being bi-directional. I've seen the videos of similar things being used for hay cutting with a sickle-bar over in lower Germany, France, Italy and Switzerland areas. Seeing it go along and hay grass about three or four feet tall cutting down and then rolling down another twelve or so feet on a slope that seeing the person on later having to side stand with one leg bent enough the uphill foot is near knee high for the other leg. So yeah, remote mowers are stellar things for sure for high angle, and then too mowing in areas that are eat up with ground hornets and wasps.
Thats awesome, but one thing that would help I could see is adding some sorts of breathable guards around those electric motors to help keep debris out of them. But other than that I see no flaws.
That is awesome. So I'm wondering how fast it would pay itself off. Cause you save time and fuel. Cause you gotta haul the 120 in and out. You also have to fuel the mack and 120. I'm betting it pays off pretty quick.
Holy crap!! I am so impressed! I can see DOT using this just for the safety factor!! And the cut of just one pass on that old nasty grass gave it a wow factor! Heck, I'd buy a smaller version for my yard just for the fun factor!😂 Thanks for sharing! Aaron really caught on fast so I know I could do it😬
Great demo.. amazing technology.. absolutely amazing on the slopes and in a worse case scenario on grass height but it powered through. Appreciate you sharing this cool content...😎🇺🇸👍
That is quite a gadget!!! You both had fun learning how easy it seams to operate on some tough ground and grass. Still you guys seem to have failed in giving the Dixie Chopper gents any white hairs from watching you all test run it. So well done guys!
Id say get your JLG lift place it in a good spot get a umbrella for some shade and a cooler with some beverages and snacks, a nice comfy lounge chair and have at it... the only reason you will need to come down off your lift would be for a bathroom break and that could be debatable depending on how private your spot is lol. Great videos neat machine.
As a relocated new englander now living in Florida...have the RC marketing team considered coming out with an RC Snowblower? Something worth considering...perhaps?
Aaron definitely deserves one with the reclining chair and a fully stocked cooler to keep him hydrated.
Add a nice parasol or sunshade he just might’ve found his new career. 😅
@@BryanVallieresAre you forgetting his welder's helmet? :-)
Chair should be #1 option.
the chair needs to have a umbrella to keep the sun off and a fan for hot still air days
He hydrates alot in vegas for sure!
For us that live north of you, forget the brush cutting. Fit it with a good snow blower. You can clear the driveway and or sidewalk from the comfort of a warm house!!! That is a winner!
Thanks for the heart DP. I'll add one more bead of sweat to the 1,000. We are over half way!
That's a great idea. When I lived in MN I tell you the worst thing was having to wake up early in the morning and go outside and blow snow before you went to work. Miserable way to start the day.
I am glad you like the idea. I have a feeling the people of Dixie Chopper are reading these comments. So who know if that will happen! @@egomaniac247

That mower is going to help stop bad accidents
That was impressive. Your dam is steep, heck your whole hillside is steep. The hillside at the 4H fairgrounds could benefit from this device. Nice machine.
It's good to see Dixie chopper who retained the same basic mower design for decades stepping way into the future. Looks quite capable!
That is one nicely thought out machine, almost no debris flying out from under it and the controls working the way they do. I'm very impressed.
The one that did come flying out was caught on camera. That was impressive!
Mike, knowing I’m watching the History Channel - when was this filmed? October standing grass is far easier to cut than February standing grass. As it weathers, it is WAY more difficult to get a decent cut as it absorbs moisture and starts to fall and is susceptible to “pushover”.

I am surprised they have remote control equipment in the times of the chariots…..😂😂😂😂😂😂
"History Channel". That's pretty good. 😉
33:57 awesome 34:08
At the end the marketer says they will come back in the spring to finish the cutting, so I'm assuming this was October/November time
That Dixie Chopper is just the ticket for that job. Sittin' on top of the hill in the shade of the golf cart, Pepsi close by. Not a bad way to relax and take care of difficult task.
That's an interesting Seventh Day thought! ;-)
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍. Great Machine
I think that is just the ticket for Aaron! Just add the recliner seat to the golf cart and watch him go!
I personally would prefer one of the rocking lawn chairs, A pop-up canopy, and of course, A large cooler for the long necks....
That “lil booger” is bad ass! I am not showing this video to my son, I’d never get him on the John deere again!
The pressurized oil system is fantastic.
Thanks for the video Mike and Aaron, Hey Aaron were on our way to one thousand, get ready to pony up Mike.😁
Plus one! :-)
Someone has just figured that the device may cost some 50k. So every comment is worth $50...
Plus two!!! Mike, not panic time yet but getting there!

Gunter would mow the dam full speed twice a week with that machine. More fun than doing a video game sitting in the living room.
Super Product ! that is a wonderful concept and what a nice machine for Seniors that can't run machines they don't have.
Great job running the mower Mr Dirt Perfect and MBTS
Impressive machine!! Dixie Chopper does it again, filling a safety need for those dangerous mowing jobs. Outstanding!!

Outstanding machine. and I'm sure improvements/options will even be realized through actual use. Did a good job on that slop. Great job guys!
That’s amazing it worked so well on such thick brush. Aaron should get one.
Wow that’s a game changer for safety’s sake on such steep inclines…just imagine regular interval cuttings that would look absolutely gorgeous

Dixie choppers are the best! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. I DON'T HAVE WORDS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. I'D SAW THEM FOR SALE BETTER THEN A RIDING MOWER.
That’s the coolest thing to come out in a while. I have no use for one but I’d buy one just to play with.
Good Sunday morning to you all
A very impressive bit of kit. Thank you for another great video. Stay safe out there. Cheers
Definitely a machine that is needed in the Dirt Perfect stable
A very good video and demonstration. It sure did cut that hillside nicely. Thanks and God Bless.
Thats some cool machine. It's funny watching such a small machine cutting such long grass. I can see you guys having fun soon.😂😂
