Nice video! I recently got one of these, and was intending to add DCC. Your disassembly tips and views under the hood are very helpful. Thanks for sharing.
I love the Northern Delaware Model Railroad Club layout shots! I used to run a few of my own models there with one of my friends who's a member. Is there a way I could get an application for membership?
The year this upgraded version was released my parents (even at the age I am!) gave me a pair of the Chessie road numbers for Christmas. They run well, quite well. I haven't got all the way through video yet and don't know if you will say but while giving the radiator grilles a wash and standing locos on end in coffee mugs it was discovered the bells are made of a flexible material - if the weren't my klutziness would have broken the one.
That was a really good review on the Walters Diesel locomotive, it is a very nice detailed locomotive. As for a model I like to see if your future reviews, could you maybe do one on Bachmann's HO-Scale Daylight steam locomotive?
Question ?? Do you know or have the product number from walthers there website only displays the undecorated version and the others dont come up under mainline (product number for 8408)
+Nscaleguy1 I don't think so - HO Scale is what I mainly work with. However, if I do decide to expand my collection to include other scales, they may be featured.
Thank you for your informative review. It's good to see people giving history on an engine as significant as this
Glad you enjoyed it! The SW-1 was definitely one of the most successful switchers from the family of first-generation diesels.
@ I've actually ridden on the prototype, back when it was still in The Chessie's possession.

Love the soundtrack for these reviews.
Nice review. They completely rebuilt the drive from their old version, but the frame is the same. From my experience these things pull very well.
My pair of these little jokers totally affirms that experience.

+ThomasZoey3000 Thank you. I may do one on the Bachmann Daylight in the near future.
I wish they would keep making these. I really wanted one in the Southern Pacific tiger stripes.

+Middle Georgia Railfan Thank you very much! More reviews will be on the way!
Great video! Where do you get your background music?
Maybe for your next video, you could do a list on your top sole surviving steam locomotives in the US.
I have a new run Kato GP35 in ATSF Dress Blue, it's is a great engine and I'd recommend it for a review
I've been thinking of buying one but I've been too busy buying and fixing stuff
You should do a Ann Arbor switcher

Nice. Will you be looking at other scales aside from HO scale?

Yeah yeah yeah, how to remove the cab to install a decoder, whatever - what matters most to me is how to remove the cab to install people! ;) :D
What sound decoder & speaker would you recommend for this model?
I wish I knew about sound decoder installation for the SW-1, but unfortunately, I haven't had any experience with sound decoders.
