But as a musician of all sorts myself, and a lover of all kinds of music, hearing that Acacia Strain has a new album out... Astonishing music. Just always hovering around the pinnacle of the emotion of heaviness that I look for in music like gods of music (Meshuggah, Boards of Canada, Radiohead, The Tragically Hip, etc etc etc) evoke in their particular unique styles and fields of music. There is only one Acacia Strain, and having a new album by them for me to digest over the next few months years etc, like the rest, has brought tears to my eyes in even writing this comment. Thanks guys as always for the music. It means a lot to your fans.

And I was... I was yelling, "What happened to Maddie? What... What's wrong with her?" And that's when I realized, what about Zach and Sadie? And when I said their names out loud, MaryJane got hysterical. She started hitting me with her fists. She looked me right in the eye. And then she said, "You did this. You killed us."
I might be wrong, but the whole album (lyrically and conceptually) feels like a reiteration of the ideas from Observer/the Coma Witch concept, which I'm totally okay with revisiting. Sounds like the whole album is going more in depth with the whole idea, and that's pretty fucking cool to see these ideas more fleshed out.
Ive listen to it about 10 times in my car (it leaked) its pretty much Coma Witch 2 but with a darker, slower theme lol. They even copy pasted the album cover! also the guitars sound much better this time around. Theres not many catchy songs (Model Citizen is my favorite) but every song has a depressing aura to it. I dunno if id call it better than Coma Witch since that album has a lot of songs that got stuck in my head but id say its worth buying
Skudd Butt I was just telling my friend how this album literally rattles your bowels and intestines in the car, rofl. totally not kidding though. it's insane in the car, as long as it's loud of course. but either way, these chugs in a good car stereo is fucking stupid heavy, it will legit make you throw up in the best way haha

I think this album is a logical but not very far progression from Coma Witch. A lot more doom vibes and less hardcore influence. They're getting darker and darker.
