This was such a cute episode!!! You guys cracked me up raiding Brian's pen collection and I must say, Rachel you are impressive with your recall and knowledge of pens!!! Methinks you rival Brian!! Great episode! Nice to see Drew and Rachel take over. Looking at Brian's stash I felt like a kid in a candy store. I'd be happy for him to spend random episodes on one drawer at a time. I'd really like to see and hear more about the Visconti Millenium Arc Rainbow though. Thank you for all the great videos. Keep up the good work.

The Pilot M90/MYU is one of my favorite designs of pen, such a shame they're so expensive and only 2nd hand as they don't make them anymore.

I would like to know more about the Monteverde Fantasia. I've been trying to find one for months but, haven't and there aren't that many reviews about it apart from how the design of the barrel is painted on the inside.

I love the cap on the Delta Magnifico better, but the hammered metal body on the MB is pretty cool looking.

Micartq doesn't use paper, it's tightly packed cloth soaked in resin to make basically reinforced resin

I kind of like the delta, with the cap off it looks great but the cap is a darker colour which is why it looks weird.

The Ohto Tasche is actually pretty nice. Smooth bouncy nib, and the design means it's not as easy to snap in 2 when you carry it in your pants pocket. And I believe it's pronounced like Tasha which means bag or pocket in German.
Selling and working with so many great and expensive pens... Wearing a Kermit the frog watch, LOL

Okay, it just has to be said, the Delta matches Drew's shirt. I vote that he has to use it for a week. Any ideas for an appropriate ink? The MB wins the ugly award and gets an extra point because they probably charge extra for the ugly.

I sure hope that new facility has good security, because that looked like about a bajillion dollars worth of fountain pens. I just realized that it's been five weeks since I got a new pen.

I think I'm one of the odd people who loves the look of the Delta Magnifica!
Rachel, Daiso is pronounced with a long I sound, like "eye". Also, if Edison ever gets enough yellow acrylic to produce that Nouveau, I'm SO onboard! It's such a wonderful shade of yellow.
Drew, I like the wood Delta slightly more than the Mont Blanc. The wood is slightly more neutralizing to all the other craziness than the metal, imo.
Colin... mad props for all your work on the products list. How many times did you have to watch the video to catch everything?
I usually pause it the second they mention a product and link it up. Sometimes it can take a bit of time to find a good link for a product that we no longer carry, but you know someone is going to ask, so might as well get ahead of it! - Colin

The Delta looks better than the Blanc... I'd love to have the gold Encore ;n;.. as well as most of the pens I saw.
I had a chance to buy the dragon sword Maki-e at the 2019 St. Louis Pen Show, but I didn't have a spare $1500! I wanted that pen SO bad.
Would have been nice though if they had turned around and Brian would just be sitting there watching them...

We have always known, those of us whose passion are fountain pens, ink, and paper, the most perfect career would be one who has total access to any fountain pen manufactured. Believe it to be the ultimate incentive for making one's personal passion a money maker. Well, now we have definitive proof!

Those were actually the Visconti Manhattan Wall Street (blog.gouletpens.com/2016/05/introducing-visconti-manhattan-wa ), very similar design to the old Parkers. - Colin
Neither the Delta or the Mont Blanc - rococo AF. I believe tactical pens are for smashing through glass in the event of a car accident. Braining someone is just a bonus.
Wish I could have remote controlled you through the collection. Some interesting pens barely glimpsed.

Wow, I know y'all joke about looking at pens that aren't available to buy, but I still love seeing a sort of history of pen manufacturers and their previous designs! Also, in the Preppy drawer, with Parkers, there is a large orange pen with silver trim. Can you tell me more about that pen please? Thanks!
That is a Schmidt Intrinsic. I don't think we ever carried the pen, but it's the same company that makes the Schmidt standard international converter. - Colin
Thank you so much! I looked up the Schmidt Intrinsic and it didn't quite look the same as the pen I saw in the video. I may have been vague when trying to describe the pen. The one I am wondering about is the orange one that Rachel touches at 10:55, to the left of the original Passaporto. It may be the same pen you told me about, I just didn't think they looked the same.

Hi Rachel & Drew, Rachel what do you think of Drew's Shirt, Brian has got an awesome pen collection diggin the Encore love the colours.Delta is uglier. The M 90 nib section looks similar to the Parker T1, Loving the custom 74,s, the 3776 Star Dust, TWSBI. I think Brian should talk about the TWSBI marble pen. And thank you both for an awesome video loving it.
Have you considered carrying the Pilot Petit or have carried it in the past? I adore mine and always carry one in my knitting project bags because they are light, durable and don't ever dry out in my experience. I think they are a solid starter or kid pen!

Micarta is made using resin, so that's where that paint smell is coming from!

I think I spied a Namiki Sterling silver fountain pen. I don't know if it was the Dragon or some other. Personally I have the Dragon and it works and writes really well. Would really appreciate a review of the Namiki sterling silver fountain pen from Goulet!

Save the best for last? TWSBI needs to add some pizzaz. A Classic with a finish like the new Conklin Nozac. A 580/mini with a F-C Solid Ice finish would be a great look on a piston filler.
Yeah, I tend to agree. Can you imagine if that Micarta came out today? People would go crazy! Spiraling resin would be a great way to bring something new. I'm sure they're thinking of something! - Colin

I'm running a converter in my pen, but have an exam tomorrow. I've inked my pen with Mont Blanc mystery black but am worried of the pen running out, is it ok to run briefly a quink cartridge if my pen runs out of Mont Blanc or would I have to take my ink bottle into the exam?
I wouldn't risk mixing inks from different brands. Might be fine in the moment for writing, but could cause some issues to the pen itself. You could fill up a sample vial if you have one of the MB ink, a bit less of a hassle than a full bottle. Or clean it out and go with cartridges only. - Colin
Is it safe to use shimmering inks in a pilot parallel? I'm worried the particulates would clog the parallel plates.
It's definitely safe as long as you maintain a regular cleaning schedule. The Parallel is actually easy to clean with shimmering inks because a brass sheet between the plates clears out a lot of debris! - Colin

Those are sample boxes we get from our distributors sometimes. Sometimes we get pens before the full stock for photography. - Colin
