@@arielmallari7237 keep at it mate! Find the sandy patches and try get that lure sinking as much as possible with out getting snagged. Sandy bay worked really well for me at low tide! Walk out the right side and keep walking and casting untill you find them! Hope it helps man 👌🏽
Cheers for the comment! The first few casts I usually do in a snaggy area I basically search for the bottom counting in my head roughly how long it takes, as soon as I feel the jig touch weed I’ll do a quick action to pull it up off the weed. From then on I know how long to count untill my jig is roughly in the strike zone then repeat my actions. You can adjust the sink time as the tides come in and out. Will always get the odd snag, there’s a way to get your jig back most times by doing your drag up a little and doing small sharp jerks off the rod untill it pulls free or untill you break the piece of kelp. Yes I have, both productive places but crowded too, just put in the time and should get rewarded! Squid are usually just a waiting game if there not hungry on the bite! Devonport wharf and stanley bay wharf too hold squid !
