This is what I found and I'm confused It is unknown why the player doesn't fight back despite being a police officer. However, the player may have fought back but it isn't shown on screen. the infected have increased strength, this may be the reason the player isn't able to fight back. Although the player is decent handling the gun (in most cases)This could be hinting to their backstory.

Hey if you are going to play more of Piggy Intercity let me give you some tips. The wrench is the best weapon for starters. Fight off the infected and try to find an axe and a pickaxe. Now when you have the weapons you can combo with them and easily kill infected. After you have the axe and the pickaxe start looting the city, it has the most items out of any location giving a larger chance of a g u n. Right now the only ammunition you can buy is pistol ammunition. So don’t forget to say thank you to the gaming lords if you find a pistol. As long as you have a vip server this method will work but if you don’t well, just hope everyone else in the server is dumb. I hope this helps you Devoun! Good luck!
