Yeh mate got most of the same set up, same dcdc but only 160 watt panel, max 9.8 amps, that panel with 370 watt 28 amps that’s brilliant definitely after details
Thanks for taking the time to watch the vid and also sharing your experience with the Btec. It gives me piece of mind hearing that you’ve had no issues 👍 cheers Jeff 🍻
@ohnjay 1973 thanks for your feedback. I think it’s hard to put a price on peace of mind and being able to travel remotely with the confidence your gear is up to it. 👍
Great videos mate and great set up you have there. How have you fixed the panel what everything is fixed to there? Is it just those screws I think I can see? If something were to go wrong (touch wood) or want to do more wiring how do you get behind it all? Thanks mate
Hey Jeff, Just curious how the Jinko panel has gone overtime on the 4WD, i know they are not really designed for that sort of vibration. Any issues, any cracks etc? Thanks.
Giddy mate love your setup I also have the same dc/dc charger , question the house panel connects the same as the normal 12 volt panels, ie wiring goes straight into the dc/dc charger thanks denis
Thanks for watching Denis. Yes mate exactly same wiring. Highly recommend this option. To put 20-30amps/hr from solar is a game changer. They also perform better in low light conditions than traditional camping panels. Cheers 🍻 Jeff
@@jeffntashadventures3438 sorry Jeff just another question did you have to fuse from the solar to the dc/dc regulator if so what size fuse did you use thanks mate
Hi mate great Video. Can I ask what the price for the 12v with the solar. I watched your other video on the canopy and tray thanks for that great info.
@@jeffntashadventures3438 thanks mate for taking the time to reply. I’ve got a 2016 wiltrak with tub and ARB accent canopy and was just wondering the weight difference with your set up. When you get round to it I’d be keen to know. Cheers 🍻
Hi Jeff, I have the enerdrive system 40dc2dc charger and want to up grade my panels, I would like to no where you got your panels from and the name of them, if you could help out that would be great. Great set up.
Thanks Crackers for your comment. The panel I got is a Jinko Cheatah 132 cell 370w panel. It cost me $330 and got it from Eddie’s Auto Marine on the Gold Coast as they did the install of the RTT. Hope this helps mate. I am so impressed with its performance as per comments in my vid, also really good in low light and cloudy conditions. Cheers 🍻 Jeff
Hi Rohan, thanks for the view. No you don’t need a solar controller if your dcdc charger can handle the higher voltage. The enerdrive unit is rated to handle 45v so no issues. So it really depends what dc charger you run. If you need any more info let me know. Cheers 🍻 Jeff
Hi Jake, thanks for the view and question. There’s no brand name on the switch panel. It was installed by Pinacle 4x4, they might be able to help. Cheers 🍻 Jeff
Hi John, it’s a Jinko Cheatah 132 cell 370w panel. Cost me $330 from Eddies auto electrical on Gold Coast, but I’m sure you’ll find them on line. I cannot rate it highly enough
Hi Heath, they come standard in the RTT, I’m not sure what brand they are but I’ll have a look on the weekend and let you know. I hear the sirocco fans are highly recommended, not sure if they are suited to your purpose? Cheers Jeff 🍻

Great set up Jeff !! Can I ask what the ranger weighs in at fully loaded? Cheers Scott
Hi Scott, I haven’t had the opportunity to weigh it yet. I expect approx 3.2t? I’ll put it over the weigh bridge soon and confirm

The household panel. Do you need a solar controller or does it run direct to your DC2DC?
