after 5 years of bachelors and 2 years of Masters degree, whenever I forget something I get back to this video, simple and clear and amazing. Wish education at every level is like this
This is exactly the gold in youtube. Problem with induction motor and synchronous motor had been frustrated me for a week and solve in 10 min in this video
Thank you so much for showing how a synchronous motor works. Wayy better than a robot reading text at me like the other videos. We appreciate what youre doing
Thank you sir from the deep of my heart. From the topic synchronous motor one question was coming in my exam. I felt it would not affect if I leave that question. Still before the exam I thought to get basic knowledge about synchronous motor. So I watched your video. And I was extremely happy because I was able to attempt that 14 marks question. Thank you sir. Great support. Keep making educational videos..
I feel like the lack of sentence structure makes it easier to understand. It feels like I’m a caveman and the voice is trying to dumb it down for me. Which is good because me Unga bunga boi
Anyway the physics behind synchronous motor is explained beautifully with the help of animation...ur my science teacher😍😍 keep on making this kind of video
You guys really do great things. Your every video is great and the animation is just mind blowing. Please never stop, esle you'll made my study really tough.
Was very much confused between this and induction motor and thought why can't this act as induction motor as both stators are excited by 3 phase supply and what was the need of excitation of rotor winding. Now I get it, great explanation .
Doing a great job by explaining tough concepts so clearly and neatly with excellent animations... keep doing these kind of things very thankful to you @learnengineering
My Online classes has already began and we are studying about synchronous machines..but my professor didn't made it clear..but #learn engineering made it..thank u ..keep posting 😊😊
This is a very nice and informative video. The way the animation is slowed down and simplified only adds to the effectiveness of it. Keep up the good work.
This is extremely good video I hope anyone should with start with this video before going in depth so that they can resolve all the issues and design m/c by themselves.... Thank you so much Learn Engineering..
This video clearly portrayed the process for me. I was not able to visualize it. Great explanation and even better animation. Hope you bring out more such videos regarding electrical machines. Electrical machines seriously need people like you who make it easy to understand. Other sources of electrical are the same textbook handouts with narration that is hard to make sense.
Everytime #lesics @lesics i forget about Synchronous machine basic principles i tune into this video, within minutes I'm good to continue my engineering career😅🙏 thank you a lot
Synchronous motor is a doubly excited machine i.e two electrical inputs are provided to it. It’s stator winding which consists of a 3 phase winding is provided with 3 phase supply and rotor is provided with DC supply. The 3 phase stator winding carrying 3 phase currents produces 3 phase rotating magnetic flux. The rotor carrying DC supply also produces a constant flux. Considering the frequency to be 50 Hz, we can see that the 3 phase rotating flux rotates about 3000 revolution in 1 min or 50 revolutions in 1 sec. At a particular instant rotor and stator poles might be of same polarity (N-N or S-S) causing repulsive force on rotor and the very next second it will be N-S causing attractive force. But due to inertia of the rotor, it is unable to rotate in any direction due to attractive or repulsive force and remain in standstill condition. Hence it is not self starting....BUT WHY SQUIRREL CAGE SHAPED ROTOR IS USED?
+AJITH THOMAS I believe the squirrel cage bars are affected by the rotating magnetic field (RMF) such that it produces a force which begins to spin the rotor (see 2:46)
It's like someone who barely spoke English wrote the script, then they got a native English-speaker to read it and he didn't care enough to get them to change the wording 😂
Oh beautiful. very good explanation. May you live a long life Full of gladness and health . May all God's blessings descend upon you. May peace be within you may your heart be strong. May you find what you're seeking wherever you roam.
It's amazing how far a simple animation goes at explaining things.

Please i need your help. My name is Benjamin and I'm very happy to see these video
This is exactly the gold in youtube.
Problem with induction motor and synchronous motor had been frustrated me for a week and solve in 10 min in this video
I don't know why these kind of videos are the standard when it comes to explaining these concepts in university. Great video!
Because they have to pay $ for them
I cant thank you enough for the videos.Made life of a mechanical engineer in electrical world so much easier.!!

exactly
Thank you so much for showing how a synchronous motor works. Wayy better than a robot reading text at me like the other videos.
We appreciate what youre doing
oh man, how comprehensive and crucial this video was for understanding the difference between the two and why it is not self-starting inherently
Thank you sir from the deep of my heart. From the topic synchronous motor one question was coming in my exam. I felt it would not affect if I leave that question. "slip out of synchronism"! ❤💗
This sentence boils down the concept of slip... HATS OFF!!
I feel like the lack of sentence structure makes it easier to understand. It feels like I’m a caveman and the voice is trying to dumb it down for me. Which is good because me Unga bunga boi
Hello another unga bunga mam i feel the same
I can't explain even in words how useful ur videos are..
Keep it up❣️✨
Anyway the physics behind synchronous motor is explained beautifully with the help of animation...ur my science teacher😍😍 keep on making this kind of video
Physics Lover yea, well done.
i love the broken English combined with a perfect Midwest accent lol. the video still gets the information across
He's a busy guy, he doesn't have time to waste saying the word "the".
Don't give them credit- It is exploiting ethos and while the logos is there... the whole video is not totally there.
@@DigitalAndInnovation can you elaborate, just asking 😊😅
its science n technology nt english class.. so stop criticizing. . he explain beautifully...
Thank you for your support. We have removed English mistakes in the recent videos.
May god bless your english!!!

No words for this explanation .. please upload all details about transformer
It was so helpful to understand how AC motors work.
Synchronous motor is a doubly excited machine i.e two electrical inputs are provided to it. +AJITH THOMAS I believe the squirrel cage bars are affected by the rotating magnetic field (RMF) such that it produces a force which begins to spin the rotor (see 2:46)
I believe this cage turns this motor into a induction motor and causes intial start
I think, the SQUIRREL CAGE is not needed. The DC power supply to Rotor or a parmannet magnet will give push to start the rotor to move from inertia.
Thank you sir for your crystal clear teaching
Very informative. The animations help too. Thank you! Although, it's okay to say "the" more than once per video. xD
It's like someone who barely spoke English wrote the script, then they got a native English-speaker to read it and he didn't care enough to get them to change the wording 😂
