Who would have thought that a man who constantly said that America is at their best when there is a good, strong Republican party would help craft a situation where the end result is likely a good, strong Republican party. I mean, making himself a lame duck will let him get some more sleep after all.
Public option is probably a worse option than the ACA. Think about it... the powerful insurance companies would simply offload their "high risk" clients onto the public option company. They rake in profits and the public offering collapses under the weight of all the "high risk" people who the corporations dumped onto it. "What's that? You just got diagnosed with cancer? Sorry, you didn't dot this I on the enrollment form, we're dropping your coverage (keeping the years of premiums you paid though, thanks for that) and you have to go on the public option. Good luck with the cancer!" Without eliminating the profit motive from the insurance industry, this is inevitable. There's no way the Democrats would include ironclad language to prevent it. Look at how they cocked up the ACA so that SCOTUS and that jackass Trump were able to break it apart piece by piece. That doesn't excuse Biden for doing fucking nothing about healthcare in this country... but public option isn't the answer, IMHO.

we, worldwide, should really get rid of electoralism.
That would be a big mistake at this point, but sure, go off king.
