This is one of the games that people in chat don't really understand the concept that figuring things out for yourself is more rewarding then just looking up the best strategy online. So you get a bunch of people trying to tell you what to do.
For people like PBG though I think it’s actually good. Like peebs said, he felt it wouldn’t be as fun alone and I think he’s right. He has a lot of trouble keeping focus, even when it comes to keeping track of simple instructions, he probably would have gotten stuck really quickly and gave up if it wasn’t for the chat.
@@meebolover1777 I partially agree, but the chat kinda over did it in this stream. They didn't give him any time yo figure it out. I think they should allow him to fail a few times in a single night before throwing in hints. A lot of time it actually hindered him since he was trying to pay attention to chat and not the game.

You get a 3rd star on the title screen for setting all of the animatronics to max and beating the night, which was claimed to be impossible. also good on you for wanting to look into your daughter's interests, as a kid I enjoy the types of parents who don't brush off their children's sources of entertainment.
Oh wow! I realize that this sounds really silly now that I have it all typed out, but I remember back at the beginning of FNAF's peak popularity, I was really interested in it like many kids my age back then did. Since you were my favorite youtuber at the time (and still are, don't worry lol), I had really hoped that I would get to hear you talk about it at some point-- that, of course, never happened... The series is more so a Stress Management series than an actual horror series. Most people who like it are into the lore and/or just figuring out how to beat the hardest nights.
Was never really impressed by FNAF - Stress Management series of Jump Scare simulator lol. It got real dull mechanicswise, but it's moderately entertaining seeing other TH-camrs scream because they think it's scary for some reason XD
The games become more and more dry-humor focused instead of scary. There are some hilarious lines throughout the games.
@@mikaneko I think 1, 2 and Ultimate custom night are the best example of Stress Management and are the series must play games. 3 and especially 4 didn't hit the mark. Sister Location was more dark/dry humor like the person above said, but was greatly inconsistent. Pizza Simulator was more consistent and is free, so there's no reason not to check it out.
@@mikaneko oh, and FNAF VR has some decent moments in it. Though it's highly suggested to play it in actual VR if you want to feel scared.

All the cringy fan stuff aside, i still really like the Fnaf series tbh, given how it all was made by one person.. it's really insane what he was able to create. Plus, the story behind it all is, very confusing, yeah, but also very well made and super interesting to get into. While i myself never liked playing the games, i love to see them beeing played and i never understood all the hate the games got and get.

Every time a game gets really big it will eventually become cringe because of the over saturation. Just look at among us, It got really big and is now starting to be considered cringe. It's just an inevitability with popular games
The fandom isnt even cringy anymore honestly, it was cringy when it first came out because all us fans were like 12 or 14 now we are all young adults and alot of the newer content from old fans is awesome :)!
I think besides some of the overused memes (exotic butters), the series only got better. 2-4 are kinda meh, but when it was decided to change things up, we got Sister Location, and eventually VR which is a really great game and great remakes of the original four.

When the game came out, everyone was speculating which characters do what when and where, but now in 2020 EVERYONE is a pro at the game, even those who haven't played it. Poor Peebs is getting "backseat-driven" to death.

bonnie: he comes from the left, and he teleports, so if you are unlucky enough he will be in your face in the beggining of the game
chica: like bonnie but just moves to adjacent rooms, if you hear pans she is in the kitchen
foxy: look at the cameras, any camera and he will not be able to move, no penalty for too much checking
feddy: like chica, but only goes forward, when he's in his destination, he will not leave, is basically foxy other than that

Five Nights at Freddy's Guide
1. Keep the doors open
:
The doors are the largest waste of power in the entire game. Sure you could keep them closed at all times to ward off enemies but that'd defeat the purpose of the game. Not to mention, doing so will barely get you through an hour before you completely run out of power.
Instead, keep the doors open at all times until you actually hear a character approaching or see one in the doorway. Then slam them shut and leave them shut until they disappear.
2. Use lights sparingly and only under attack
:
Five Nights at Freddy's is immensely reliant on auditory cues. If you run around checking cameras and flipping on lights when you don't need to, you'll never have enough power to get through the night. Instead, when you think you hear something approaching, quickly tap the lights on and off to check the doorways.
On the right side door, you can sometimes see something approaching in the shadows before it gets to the doorway. This means you can bypass using the lights altogether and just shut the door.
3. Learn how all your enemies move:
Enemies move differently at Freddy's. Learning early on how they move will get you further, faster. Here's how I've found all four enemies to move throughout the night, with the exception of night five, where it appears all bets are off.
Chica - Purposefully and quickly towards the player, always appears in the right side door. If you see Chica on a right side camera approaching you, they'll soon be in the doorway so prepare to close it!
Bonnie - Always appears in the left hand doorway but moves randomly in the cameras. Flick the left side light on and off is you feel Bonnie is moving, just to make sure they aren't in the doorway already.
Foxy - Mainly stays in Pirate Cove in Camera 1C but doesn't like to be watched often. When you hear running on the left side, Foxy is attacking. Slam down the left door. You may also sporadically see signs in camera 1C that say "IT'S ME!" and if you see this, immediately slam the left door down.
Freddy - Freddy is harder to predict and frequently makes cameras do dark. This is a good indication Freddy is lurking. Watching him seems to make him advance slower, so keep an eye on him and remember he typically moves throughout the whole camera circuit before attacking. But remember, he can break through doors, so slowing him down in the final hours of the night are key.
4. Watch for glowing eyes:
As previously stated, Freddy is hard to see on the cameras. One indicator that he's in a specific room is if you see glowing eyes. There have been times I thought I was looking at a completely empty camera but caught a pair of glowing eyes, which happened to be Freddy.
Just be sure to keep an eye on Freddy as he moves through cameras as it'll slow down his advance.
5. Headphones make audio cues much more obvious:
Five Nights at Freddy's is chock full of auditory information. Being able to hear footsteps specifically approaching from the left or right separately is super important. And when you hear running or other sounds, you'll quickly become acquainted with who is attacking at from where.
Through your iPhone or iPad's built-in speakers, it's sometimes impossible to decipher where a character is moving to, in turn making cameras harder to monitor. And as you can probably guess, that means you use more power. So in short, use headphones whenever possible.
6. Listen before looking:
Again, auditory cues are key. It's also why headphones make a huge difference. You can hear the feedback coming from both left and right channels separately which tells you exactly what side you are facing an attack from. This makes it much easier to conserve power when you aren't guessing what door to slam down.
7. Quick, short looks are key:
With the exception of when you're tracking Freddy, short and quick looks are almost always best. You want to curb your power usage as much as possible for in most situations, you'll be able to see where characters are at with short looks. Spend most of your time listening and only part of your time looking. I'd say an 80/20 rule would make a good guideline.
8. Don't waste power until an animal makes the first move:
At the very beginning of the night, all the animals are located in camera 1A. Quickly take glances at them here and there in order to see when an animal makes their first move. In other words, when one disappears. That's the point when you need to start checking the other cameras. Just be sure to also keep an eye on Foxy in Pirate's Cover periodically. And more importantly, make sure you're listening for attacks more than you are watching.

I hope Peebs plays more of these. Honestly none of these games scare me anymore, but the first game is still really creepy. I love the overall lore, no matter how silly and convoluted it gets.

It's always interesting to see a blind reaction to something I've known for years. Fnaf is so different from what it started out as that I forget what it was like in 2014. The games were really mysterious, the lore was nonexistent, and I wasn't desensitized to jumpscares.
