The more you pour yourselves into your home, the more you will love it. It's like that whenever we open our hearts to something or someone and go all in. But much more importantly, what I see you doing here is building memories together. My husband and I have had several homes that we don't have any more. Like you, we undertook various projects and hunted for just the right things for our homes. However, in time, jobs changed.. Children grew up. We changed, as did our needs and our wants. But what we do have now is precious memories of each home -- the choosing and the working and the pride of making it ours. Most of all, we treasure the life we lived in each home. We are all so grateful that you're capturing and sharing your journey for us . We love what you do. But even more so, I am very glad that you are capturing all of this for your future selves. I hope you watch these videos years from now and savor the memories.

It's all just perfect! What a professional job you have done! I am enamored with the antique print of Queen Victoria. My great grandmother worked for Queen Victoria as a nursemaid on the Isle of Wight, when she was in mourning. We still have her little black dress and hand tatted lace collar that she wore. So it was incredible for me to see your lovely print so nicely placed on that beautiful wallpaper... really heart warming for me! :)

Wonderful home and I love the hallway wall paper! Yurk is sweet and handy! He does nice work. And your paint job on that cabinet and snug is quite professional looking, too, Kirsten. Can't wait to see the room finished. You two make quite a team! A tip for getting pictures to hang (and stay) straight: Place two nails in the wall, side by side with a little space between them and at the same height.. It was built 30 years ago as a business. It is soundly built with a brick exterior and we are having fun turning it into a more homey place. You are a delightful young couple. 'hi Kirsten&Jorge... there's so many features to this video that I like..first of all 'Congrats on the renovation to your flat...for the entrance hall perhaps a color of light gray blue..you might like because it will compliment the wall paper letting the wallpaper be the strength...love everything that you've done in changes in the hallway..I agree the carpet color and condition must go..need a carpet color more complimentary..the oval mirror you are looking for yes simple gold but ornate with a slight darker presence will look very Victorian... Kirsten you will really have to search for this one..and the coat stand could be gold too.. yes..love the front door color very nicely chosen..and perhaps in the room that you're painting possibly golden lamps might do with the style that you choose because it will tie in with the gold lamps you've chosen for the hallway..so gold might be the color..which gives a very nicely upgraded Victorian style..I am very proud of your renovation efforts..it makes for a very lovely home...good work you two👍..now time for tea..😉..☕️..'💕
Hi Margaret, Thanks so much! Yes, we found the right solution for the colour. We will probably go with one that is reflected in the twigs of the Morris wallpaper, it will look so much better instead of a heavy blue. Hahah yes indeed, we will get golden lamps for our little snug. We would love to get a coat stand but the hallway is too narrow so it has to be a little rack. I saw a great one online (gold) last week with a horse head but no longer available :(
The William Morris wallpaper is beautiful, perfect for your hallway, as are the two framed prints. You are correct that the blue paint was too dark, especially for that staircase area. The Pomona paint color for the snug is what I would call celery. I like it. The shepherd collie cane is a great whimsical piece, and the sconces are lovely.

The vision you have for your home Kirsten and Joerg is so interesting and I love how you are using the wallpaper and colours to complement its Victorian origins. Very inspirational. It takes time to find fixtures and fittings but also exciting when finding the perfect one. There is always a story and memory of when you discovered it too which makes it extra special 😊 Wightwick Manor is a National Trust property built in the Victorian era . The website is very interesting with a video that highlights the house’s history including its interior that includes William Morris wallpapers and fabrics.

I love what you’re doing in the hallway and little sitting room. The wallpaper is so pretty and goes so perfectly w the tile floor. Agree w you on the paint being way too dark! I was wondering, since the hallway is narrow, wether you should put a bigger mirror over the console table, to open up the space maybe? Also, w the board’s flowery fabric came the idea; To sit down when putting on those boots or any shoes, a little bench on castors would be lovely to tuck under the table when not in use? Covered in a similar pale rose or flower pattern as the board? 🤔 Just an idea that popped in my head.... ☺️ Can’t wait for what’s next! Love the green walls w that built in cabinetry! I love the wallpaper! Back in the early 90s when I was single sleeping in a single bed I had sheets of this pattern I bought in clearance. I could not afford the comforter that matched so I bought a single sheet and matching fabric to make a quilt. I hand quilted all the squares. I still have it now at the end of my queen size bed on my quilt rack! I was thinking the other day how much I still love it and the colors. It is a timeless William Morris M pattern! Happy decorating!

I am new to your site and getting caught up with all of your wonderful videos. We live in the Village of Stockport, Ohio. Your home is simply lovely. Our home is, sadly, not old. It was built 30 years ago as a business. It is soundly built with a brick exterior and we are having fun turning it into a more homey place. You are a delightful young couple. We are in our late 60's and early 70's now. Thank you for taking us along on your redecoration journeys and tours of your lovely countryside.

'hi Kirsten&Jorge... there's so many features to this video that I like..first of all 'Congrats on the renovation to your flat...for the entrance hall perhaps a color of light gray blue..you might like because it will compliment the wall paper letting the wallpaper be the strength...love everything that you've done in changes in the hallway..I agree the carpet color and condition must go..need a carpet color more complimentary..the oval mirror you are looking for yes simple gold but ornate with a slight darker presence will look very Victorian... Kirsten you will really have to search for this one..and the coat stand could be gold too.. yes..love the front door color very nicely chosen..and perhaps in the room that you're painting possibly golden lamps might do with the style that you choose because it will tie in with the gold lamps you've chosen for the hallway..so gold might be the color..which gives a very nicely upgraded Victorian style..I am very proud of your renovation efforts..it makes for a very lovely home...good work you two👍..now time for tea..😉..☕️..'💕
Hi Margaret, Thanks so much! Yes, we found the right solution for the colour. We will probably go with one that is reflected in the twigs of the Morris wallpaper, it will look so much better instead of a heavy blue. Hahah yes indeed, we will get golden lamps for our little snug. We would love to get a coat stand but the hallway is too narrow so it has to be a little rack. I saw a great one online (gold) last week with a horse head but no longer available :(

The William Morris wallpaper is beautiful, perfect for your hallway, as are the two framed prints. You are correct that the blue paint was too dark, especially for that staircase area. The Pomona paint color for the snug is what I would call celery. I like it. The shepherd collie cane is a great whimsical piece, and the sconces are lovely.

The vision you have for your home Kirsten and Joerg is so interesting and I love how you are using the wallpaper and colours to complement its Victorian origins. Very inspirational. It takes time to find fixtures and fittings but also exciting when finding the perfect one. There is always a story and memory of when you discovered it too which makes it extra special 😊 Wightwick Manor is a National Trust property built in the Victorian era . The website is very interesting with a video that highlights the house’s history including its interior that includes William Morris wallpapers and fabrics.

I love what you’re doing in the hallway and little sitting room. The wallpaper is so pretty and goes so perfectly w the tile floor. Agree w you on the paint being way too dark! I was wondering, since the hallway is narrow, wether you should put a bigger mirror over the console table, to open up the space maybe? Also, w the board’s flowery fabric came the idea; To sit down when putting on those boots or any shoes, a little bench on castors would be lovely to tuck under the table when not in use? Covered in a similar pale rose or flower pattern as the board? 🤔 Just an idea that popped in my head.... ☺️ Can’t wait for what’s next! Love the green walls w that built in cabinetry! I love the wallpaper! Back in the early 90s when I was single sleeping in a single bed I had sheets of this pattern I bought in clearance. I could not afford the comforter that matched so I bought a single sheet and matching fabric to make a quilt. I hand quilted all the squares. I still have it now at the end of my queen size bed on my quilt rack! I was thinking the other day how much I still love it and the colors. It is a timeless William Morris M pattern! Happy decorating!
