i love this , i started to play this game recently and this type of content really makes me understand better , + i started to making my own maps so this is big inspiration
An interesting pocket map might involve one large entrance and one small one. The small one being a Canyon to the rear, and while most attacks come from the forward gap you have to defend against constant Raids, those attacks down the Canyon are extremely powerful and difficult to defend. Why? Because down the canyon are multiple mine deposits for high tier resources, mine what you can and watch for the boss waves coming for your unprepared rear end. Be forced to salvage your mining camps multiple times through the gameplay while slowly burning resources to hold both forward and rear defences to protect your basic resource output.
The best thing about this pocket was it gave you the leeway for things to go wrong without killing the run. There are some things you just wont see when things go "well enough to win"
GG Kensei. Of course play whatever maps and modes you enjoy most. But as a sub, I enjoy the rng survival runs much more than the custom. Just a little feedback from a fan.
On the subject of Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 "not being turned based" that is not entirely true, the games mechanics still follow a turns/round system but simply played out with no pauses normally. However there is an auto-pause system in the options which can be set to pause the game as pretty much any possible combat interaction resolves effectively making it a turn based game. So if the original games not being turn based is what made them less enjoyable so as to not finish them, that is something you can correct with options settings if you want to give them another try.
Regarding remembering whether you finished BG1 or not; I know for sure that I finished it at least twice, but it feels like I didn't. As the ending is so abrupt. It just goes to an image of the Big Bad guy with tons of arrows and such in him, with probably some outro text. An easy fight too, if you're anywhere near a completionist.
Man I miss Italian Pizza. I lived there 2 years. I wanted to get to Germany but it wasn't in the cards. Aber hab ich drei Jahren Deutsch an der Uni studiert.
hi, can somebody explain to me why shocktowers arnt used much? played the campin like a year ago and remember me bulding alot of them, so are they not good outside the campain or even there not good?
They aren't good vs special infected and they also cost a lot of gold and power, and kensei is far too cheap to spend resources on defences if he doesn't need to 😅
Shocking towers are bad against anything tankier than fast zombies. And cost a lot of power and resources. They don't even one shot the weaker zombies too and have low fire rate. So other defences are better overall. You can use shocking towers mid game for waves then delete them. Otherwise ballista and executors all the way
As the other said, harpys and spitters melt the shock towers and chubbies don't die to them in one shot. The shock towers are good in the campaign because typically the waves are decently big with fresh/exectutives that do get one shot.
You have to get the two map files from my discord and copy them into your save game folder for They are Billions. It should then show when you select the continue button in game.
I’ve recently wanted to get into custom maps but I’m a bit of a brainlet with the game (at the moment, only got like 20 hours) and don’t know how to do such grand gameplay like this. Got any beginner tips for someone who hasn’t mastered profusely clicking an RTS game?
Don't worry about failing. Put yourself into some tough situations and see if you can get out of them. You will build muscle memory over time and you start to memorize patterns so you can multitask easier.
Question from a non TAB player.. Why continue to expand and build when your already have enough soldiers to clean the map? seems a bit redundant to me to continue building and upgrading buildings.
Hi! I'm nowhere near as good as Kensei is, but this is for two reasons: Every building that supports creating more population/houses increases the end score he gets. That, and Clearing the map isn't the endgame, the final wave is. The more resources to spam soldiers and turrets, the better and safer your chances. Every building lost to zombies is a detriment to points, so if you can prevent it, big win for score. I personally don't care about score, but many TAB players on TH-cam play for world records, so maybe Kensei does. Third, optional reason is that it's kinda boring to just wait around. Kensei's already proven he can beat the game a million times over, he wants to beat the game -well-
Your really start advancing east....but don't heavily reinforce your western border with defenses, despite KNOWING you can't get back in time if something happens. Then a Giant happens. Halfway through the game. You have 30 Titans. You're using about TEN of them to clear, with a handful of snipers. You nearly get overrun at Day 61 while trying to advance with 5 titans, while you have about ten more sitting at the west border.
Thing is, That giant actually hit a piece he had strengthened, it just didn't care about it and went through it, He's doing Everything in real time whilst also streaming, he'll always be a bit distracted, and he's still this good with that, whilst we're just sitting here having no pressure criticising things
Also looking at the footage, that Giant also gone wandering Quite a bit, I'd initially also wrote it off as a distant thing that'll be annoying when clearing, so I'm not too surprised it got missed in the stress of keeping pace on Econ and clearing
If Kensei has one weakness, it is the tactical use of his units. Especially flank protection. He gets himself im trouble so often because of it, yet doesn't seem to learn.
Multitasking the two rangers 25:20 was impressive.

Oddly enough I tend to find his custom map runs good to fall asleep to. Somehow it's relaxing.

I got a pocket like this off a randomly generated map the other day first try beating caustic lands ive never been as lucky ever again.

Cleric is the most interesting class in DND and BG3. you can be really horrible and bad if you want to. Or do so much interesting stuff.
I do like having a cleric in the party. Light cleric did quite a bit of work for me.

Just enjoy playing the game. Learning and figuring out ther game can be the most fun.
