Very nice that you captured this in 60fps! I can't believe there's been no announcement of a sequel yet. The world and franchise is so rich to just lay dormant.. If they did a sequel I almost wouldn't care if they re-used the soundtrack as it's one of the great game soundtracks of all time imo.

Mountains in the worst spots, leaving you with only at-best 10% of the map to work with, with almost all of it butt-against enemy spawn points. Every single last choke is actually a major grid point-of-failure And all topped off with almost no forests The map...actually may be possible without that mayor, but you have to then get lucky with horde spawns and be able to clear to the Doom Town at least four days early so that you can take advantage of the space the town area offers. Which might be possible, as Kensei may have made it had his grid not gotten taken down in that one horde. But that mayor lets you afford Power Plants when windmills are so strained for space, and gives you so much vital wall eco especially for those first five days. Scratch that, I don't think it is possible without the wood mayor. You simply don't have the wood economy otherwise to afford half of what Kensei did in the early days, especially when the only solid sources of wood are so far up the snake. In order to do it without the wood mayor, you'd have to be able to withstand the first 20 days without walls, or only the barest minimum of walls. So someone with top tier micro skills, full map analysis and at least a couples days with eco planning, and good horde spawns would be able to win without the wood mayor. At that point though, you could just reroll spam, and it would be a tossup as to which would take less time.

That startup with all those specials and just 5 defenders would give me a heart attack. The most enjoyable thing is the lack of sniper tower spam. It feels like original TAB.
F to all the dozens of snipers and Thanatos who gave their life defending the colony. Planting trees should be a big priority for the survivors so they can solve their lumber issue.
I haven't played this game in a long time, but was just going through the campaign again. You play a lot of custom maps; are there any good newer ones? I only like the ones like the 29 years later series; not the type that spoon-feeds you perfect square farm spots and such so that you can build 10k snipers to fight a river of giants.
There was almost all challenges for TAB Campain , like ,, Rangers only " , ,, Soldiers only " etc . I want try a new and last (i think ...) one - Campain without any train delivery (gold, resources and turrets) . One my friend says it's impossible, other says it's stupid . You don't mind say your honest professional opinion about this challenge I want to try ?
I have so much to learn, I still get beat at 80% endgame when map gives me weird chokepoints. Had a map where the entire north was locked behind a one gap chokepoint and the south was wide open, I spent to much time developing in the north that my defenses in the south became to wide and weak to the final wave.
When is the birthday of Beardfu ? Send him this Map juste for fun :-) Greatest play ever on TAB on the worst impossible Map. I mean without the first mayor, i'm pretty sure this Map is really impossible even with a last stand 😅

no going lie this is SUPER Impressive but how many times u have tried with only 1 opening for your base, that is kind of easy to defend . i play this game so much and usually the hardest part is all opening and u have to defend all directions
I've been watching Shad3less on Twitch and i can honestly say that this map is disgustingly bad. Shade often rerolls a map as soon as he starts, because he sees how bad it is to push and create a good economy etc. Also he's chasing high scores all the time. Those maps vs this one is such a night vs day difference
I wonder.. Do people just not know about the rapid fire technique that I found? Or is there an "honor" reason for not using it? It's super strong especially in the early game.
I am guessing that you are talking about the animation cancellation bug that you can use, especially with Rangers, that allows you to fire much faster than normal. Yeah, he knows about it. Kensei doesn't use it because it feels a bit like cheating to him and if he is going to beat a map, he likes to do it without exploiting bugs and glitches if he can avoid it.
Kensei thinks it's a bug. I don't think so, because in the hero missions, you can plainly see that your hero's attack speed doesn't match the displayed value unless you manually attack that fast. For example, Calliope with no talents spent says 5 attacks per second, but if you don't target manually, she only fires 2/second. But playing without pause and without manually attacking are the things that make Kensai's play so impressive.
When the sawmill mayor practically doubles your wood income 😅
