Not going to lie, wasn't a huge Nyjah fan until the Nyjah Frees dropped. The shoes were damn near perfect. Them and the Shane's are easily my top two shoes of all time. I haven't been in a pair of vans since I wore either of them

This shoes is great, it’s the perfect middle ground, has the sturdyness and durability of a cup sole, and the board feel of a vulc shoe, and I love that there’s no adjustment feeling when skating a new shoe, it’s just comfortable out of the box, the only down side is the mesh is the first thing to tear, especially if you do a lot of heel stuff
He’s taking on the athletic aesthetic, I dig it. Kinda thrown off by his outfits sometimes but I can’t say shit when he’s hopping on 25 stair rails haha I see it working for him though. Probably real comfortable too.
I imagine that the comfort and freedom of movement has to be a big part of it. There's a reason that professional athletes from most sports wear the gear they do. When you get to the level of competition that he's at those little details can make a difference. Not my favorite look but I get it.
The short shorts help a lot in what he does and actually makes a lot of sense of why he likes it. Its comfortable, great style and look, and he is able to move and do more tricks

When circa was mentioned and the Appleyard shoes..... damn dude, my favorites ever. I have a wider arch of my foot and those shoes just worked so well for my foot. These are dope too but the arch seems too thin for me to be able to balance well with but the style is slick. Nyjah youre a beast bro, and i agreed so much when you were talking about the grip on your board and shoes. i love broken in less grip too. that was so relatable.
My foot isn’t really that narrow and that’s why I’ve been so hesitant on buying his first shoe, but I’m glad Nyjah made it clear that this shoe is more suitable for us.
I got a wide foot actually and got his 1st gen shoes... they do feel like snug fit but if you size up to 1/2 size it's real solid shoe feel... I got the 2nd gen but the 1st gen is my favs tbh
What he says about shorts is true. I mainly skate shorts in summer, all my summer skate shoes are white or a bright colour, save the dark colours for winter haha.

A lot of people don’t like how the shoe fits narrow but at the end of the day, it’s still Nyjah’s custom shoe, not yours. He obviously is gonna design a shoe that fits his foot well to help him skate. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to wear them. Simple

I hate Nike but love the wrap-around paneling. Utilitarian design for skating. Emerica Gammas had that too, plus rubber backing, lots of triple-stitching. It was my favorite Emerica shoe. Really high-quality. Of course....now they're discontinuing it.
I've gone through 4 pairs of Nyjah 1s - I haven't stepped on a board for nearly 20 some odd years and just by walking a lot EACH pair gets CRACKS in the exact same spot after like 8 months. Such a design flaw but conforms to my foot so nicely...which is why i keep buying them. The 2's look like they have a mesh upper so you can see your socks through them.....like what??? not really into them.

Copped em 2 weeks ago. Took til now to finally break in. Already a hole in the flip shoe, usual thang, nothing new there. So now that I'm at this point here's my review on it. Good sturdy shoe but took a whileeee to break in for me. Probably because of it's durability. Now it feels good though but the downside is that it's dirttttyyyy. I dunno if it's the material or what, but the all whites kinda faded to a yellowish tone pretty quick, where as my brother's all white adidas are still white (though busted) and he had those 4 weeks before mine. Dunno if it's just the material or what though. Not a big issue though, quick scrub with a brush and they were white again but got dirty in a few sessions again. So may just be material. Moving on though, everything else was good to go. Loveddddd the lace loops. That shit was clever. Overall great ass design tbh. I got em a bit snug cuz i like em tight too but think that cucked me on the time to break in. Dig everything else on these kicks though fr fr. Rocked Busenitz since day one (favorite skater) and still copping pairs of those but thought I'd try these out. A different feel for sure. Will rock these til they're destroyed as usual but very pleased with em. Good price too. Super dope design too. We'll see how they feel further in.

I mean its a cool shoe, its ready to skate cause its very flexible an thin but 2 sessions and the material is done is very weak in my opinion. When you are sponsored and you can grab every week a new shoe its no problem. Maybe i was unlucky with my model bit this is ridiculous. Never had that ecperience with any skateshoe i owned.
