    I like the idea of drying fruits, but considering that it takes up to 12 hours in the air fryer, and the low capacity of the fryer that produces a very small yield with each batch, it uses a lot of energy to keep the fryer on for 12 hours for such a small amount of dried fruit.

      Exactly what I was going to comment of dehydrating fruit. It seems it's cheaper to purchase.

      @@pazflores3420 But do read the ingredients on those commercially available (packaged) dried fruits and nuts. They contain a lot of unhealthy ingredients such as palm oil). At least if you make it at home, though it's more espensive but at least you can control what goes into it.

    My kid loves the bananas. I found that a 1/4 inch slice at 170 degrees for 8 hours works well for the bananas. Maybe a bit longer depending on how crispy you like them. going to try apples with my daughter tonight and see how that goes. Great video, Joe, thanks.

    can i dehydrate or dry fresh cilantro?

    • @YourEverydayJoe
      @YourEverydayJoe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Suellen Crawford you should be able to dehydrate herbs. I would suggest not using the air fryer on for it as the fan will blow the small pieces everywhere. I would heat the oven to about 200 degrees f for about 10 minutes then turn it off and lay the herbs in it on a tray or basket in a single layer and let them dry. This is usually how I dry out my herbs in the conventional oven. Hope this helps. Thanks for the question and support. 🙏😊👍

      I have dehydrated basil, mint and fresh oregano leaves ( I left the stems on so they wouldn't fly away) from my Aerogarden in the power air fryer oven. I just placed the leaves in a 8x8 inch square pan, set the power air fryer oven to the lowest setting for dehydrating (90 degrees) for about 1-2 hours depending on the moisture content. They dried out perfectly. I now used them in my homemade Italian seasoning blend.hope this helps. Thanks🙏 for the question and the support.😎👍

    • @YourEverydayJoe

    I am blown away with this air fryer. So easy to use, and absolutely no mess th-cam.com/users/postUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB quick clean up! It's my first air fryer and after reading many reviews on line and on Amazon, and seeing my 2 daughter's air fryers, I chose this particular one because of its size, shape, high reviews, the way the baskets are made and the recipe book. WOW, the 100 pg recipe book has beautiful photos and recipes. First night we made the Mongolian wings (see photo) and they were so crispy, tasty and gorgeous (we put them back into the fryer for an additional 8 minutes to get the darker color). 2nd night we made the Cajun catfish. Both from the recipe book. Clean up was super quick: quick wipe with paper towel followed by wash in hot soapy water, no soaking, no oil to drain nor deal with (see photos). I highly recommend this air fryer, this size is perfect for 2 people! This is hands down the best air fryer!
