As I keep watching the gap in graphics quality gets smaller and smaller... from the start of the PS4 era to the most recent title on the video I can see modest upgrades in visuals but nowhere near as significant as the ps1 and 2 era.

I think FIFA 18 or 19 because they are fun and bring back many memories such as my own experiences, especially when I had like an 84 rated UT squad and no informs but hey, we don't talk about that lol. But I feel like the game was very easy back then, but maybe it would be better to play at the oldest FIFA 22 so they can at least play Ultimate Team.
Your missing the 3DO version, at the time it was pretty damn life like thnk it was around 94 95 it came out I haven't played fifa since the mid 90s i loved it on the megadrive, decided to play it on the pc fifa 17 a couple weeks back while the graphics and the realism looks stunning i still prefer the 16 bit playability the quickly run down the pitch and bang it in the back of the net the modern versions just feel to real slow and clunky perhaps I'm showing my age but i grew up on retro fifa plus sensible soccer, super side kicks, striker.
I know you only cover playstation game... But if you mantion the console name with the game you also have to mention other console also for the information... Not everyone know this how many console or device support the game
