As a former professional dishwasher, the hardest thing to get off of a dirty dish is dried up egg yolks. I sometimes had to use Comet Cleanser and a scrub brush.

From my days washing dishes 44 years ago at the Brass Penny in Gladstome-Peapack, the hardest substance to get off a dish is Lobster Newburg. Why this baked on goo is not used as an industrial adhesive is beyond me? And that 200-degree "spritzer" used to burn to the point you couldn't feel it, your hands and arms went numb in the first minute. Being a dishwasher as a kid is a rite of passage. Not a huge fan of Jon's music, but what he is doing is great and humbling work.
I met Bon Jovi while walking around Notre Dame campus before a football game. He was a super nice and humble guy.
