I dried lovage and celery this past weekend. I tried your empty tray on the top and bottom of the dehydrator. WORKED GREAT!! The herbs dried faster and more evenly. THANK YOU once again for your knowledge!!!!

Going to do this I have everything growing along with Rosemary. I have clipped a Rosemary, and put the stem in a water glass and changed the water every couple of days and little roots started to come out I let the roots get a half of inch long before I transplanted to my flower pot and soil.

What a great idea! I learned something....don’t dry herbs too hot! I just came in from giving my basil a hair cut so it was just in time, Thank you💚

Good morning my Canadian friend. There is no comparison to drying your own herbs vrs buying them in a store. Dehydrating your own is so much better. I just finished with dehydrating garlic cloves. I ground it up and made garlic powder and garlic salt. Next is sage. Little by little it fills the pantry. Have a great day Mrs. V

Shoot! I didn't know oregano is invasive! I am sitting here watching it grow bigger and harvesting it to dehydrate. Darn it, maybe I'll let it take over that area. I have been dehydrating oregano on the stems. When dry the leaves just rub right off. I am waiting on basil, parsley and thyme to cut again and make Italian Seasoning, thank you for this video!

Hi Bev, This is perfect timing, almost, chives here in NH have already gone to flower several weeks ago...I always cut them down and they grow right back up....this second growth has never flowered again, would you still cut/dehydrate from this second growth or do you only use chives prior to flowering for best flavor? I do have oregano, rosemary and thyme that I keep clipping and drying.....I've store them separate, don't know why I never thought to store them together for Italian seasoning, as we use that a lot! Thanks Bev ...your ideas/tips are sooooo useful! ~ Gail in NH

I'm gonna do this today! I have oregano, basil, parsley, rosemary, thyme, sage, and tarragon growing in buckets. I am missing chives but have some store bought. I'm going to make a concoction of that! Do you think the tarragon and thyme included would be good?
