She is a robotics engineer and a PhD student. She's not like Rush, who was born into wealth and privilege. I'm not surprised she was instantly able to see through the bullshit.
She's correct. Stockton made sure any questions weren't answered because he knew that the design/ material could fail catastrophically, as it did. Her perception of what she analyzed eventually saved her life and being phased out because of her questions is wisdom, 👍.
It is tragic that lives were ended because a man atop an organization was surrounded by “yes men and women,” and anyone who tried to talk sense into this group-thinking team was ignored or worse. Thank you to this young lady for sharing her experience with this company.

"NASA does it this way" is a very good excuse for laziness... if you're building space ships. Y'know - with the pressure on the INSIDE. And not all that much of it.
Stockton was another Elizabeth Holmes, name dropping and spewing bullshit, faking it hoping he would stumble into making it. Putting flammable materials inside the submersible. Putting truck bed liner on the hull to cover up the delamination issues. What a piece of work and his wife was apparently just as bad in the company.

The basic rule is, "Toe the line or else, find another place of employment". It takes very brave and altruistic entrepreneurial people at the very top of a business to submerge the profit motive in place of engineering excellence.
Carbon fiber works in tensile and not in compression. Is this a structure trying to contain an immense pressure or a structure trying to hold out an immense pressure?
This was well known and documented about carbon fiber for decades, unfortunately much of that predates the internet and some people are allergic to books guess they'd rather pickup their game controller and... oh my bad, too soon? There's even videos on YT from decade back or more with different resin and structural pattering tests, its never ended well for carbon fiber under pressure.

There is some truth to the claim that "you have to break eggs to make an omelette", or in other words, in order to innovate you have to break with tradition. But that should not mean not considering the consequences, especially the consequences of failure. If they are serious, as when involving people's lives or health, then you have to proceed more carefully. Take smaller steps - it's called iterative or incremental development and is well established. But as long as we live in a culture that panders to winners, no matter how they got there, someone will always be in a hurry, consequences be damned.
She looks very sad. That seems to be how many of the witnesses look during their testimony. They didn’t want to be right, but had to say something. They warned Stockton Rush and he threatened them or fired them.
Elon Musk has all the money and resources he needs to build a functional ship. He built the largest and most powerful rocket ever flown. Do you really want to compare him with Stockton Rush? The mental gymnastics you guys have to preform to push your narrative. There is always risk involved with space flight, and even NASA had it's fair share of accidents.
