    Mac is one of the most endearing and perhaps the best character in the show

    Hurts to know Charles is gone. I wasn't old enough to appreciate Selma, but sure do miss Charles.

    watched this growing up every night on syndication - loved it, it's excellent though it has a lot of problems in the later years

      It's for editing. They'd take a 7-minute interview and cut it down, probably to different lengths depending on how much time they had to fill.
