He has such a likable personality plus he's quick-witted and has a terrific voice.
I met John Larroquette when I was 15 at a baseball tournament in Kitchener, Ontario. He was staying at the same hotel we were, and he gave me his autograph, right at the front desk. He's a super nice guy.
Did you happen to know Kitchener Leslie?
My friend was working as a tech on a show with him and it was taking longer for the filming and it was really hot. He bought food and drinks for all of the crew. She said he was a really nice, down to earth man, very kind.
@Paul Matthews Kitchener Leslie?of course were super tight.
I'm jealous! Would love to meet him!
I Loved Him In The Movie Second Sight With Bronson Pinchot. He Was So Funny. One Of My Favorite Actors. Love John.
I ❤️ Night Court '84. Cast was fire.
R.I.P Diamond, Anderson, Post, & Robinson.
You forgot Halop
Richard Moll?
@@jasontodd9 Sorry about missing her.
@@ceebee18 80, still kicking 👍
@@ceebee18 He's alive! No need for a RIP
I got to meet him circa 2016 while at work. I did the unthinkable and approached him as a fan. He greeted me with a smile, introduced me to his wife, and listened to me explain for a moment how big a fan me and my family are of his. He is to date the nicest and humblest celebrity I have ever met.
this makes me so happy. He was my huge crush for many years. I'm old now and past having crushes. I still love him though.
@@annem8152You are never too old to have a crush. I just saw John Larroquette in Night Court for the first time a couple weeks ago and I have the worst crush on him! And I am 37.
We started watching Night Court a few months ago as our nightly before-bed show. We’re thrilled to find out there’s going to be a new storyline to follow and we hope they do their own thing. Welcome back, John!
He was also great in 'Stripes.' The telescope through the window gag gets me every time.
Do you remember when he gets exiled to a post in Alaska?
" Where the F*@K is my truck"?!
"I wish I was a loofah!"
🪨Remove It!!🪖
A couple soldiers took it to get it washed.
Night Court was one of my absolute favorite shows as a kid.
MINE TOO.
Me 3
I was born in 84 and this is one of the earliest shows I remembered enjoying as a kid.
We need a BluRay release of the John Larroquette Show. That first season really amazing.
Boston legal as well
Times 100
@@vb8428 It doesn't appear to be on disc, but all 4 seasons are on Amazon Prime Video...
I agree completely. There’s not many shows from that era I remember, but this one still resonates with me.
One thing I remember is the sign he put in his office. “This is a dark ride”. It was definitely ahead of its time and should also be revived.
I need the McBride Mysteries on dvd
Dan Fielding was my favorite regular character on Night Court. They absolutely have to get Brent Spiner to play Bob Wheeler again. Can't wait for this, Melissa Rauch is brilliant casting!
There's no way Bob Wheeler is still alive at this point given the unfortunate circumstances that happened to him regularly.
@@colinprincipe6293 it's very Bob Wheeler thing to be still alive I would think.
Bob’s gonna outlive us all!!
I feel the exact same way Robert, in fact I just made the same comment on a different Night Court video. 👍
He’s soooo proud of his children. So sweet!
very sweet .
And? Most parents are!!
The first season of The John Larroquette Show really was some of the best sitcom material ever written.
I agree. I am reminded of another old favorite sitcom of mine that nobody else watched: The Associates, with a theme song by B B King and starring Martin Short and Wilfred Hyde-White. Some of the best shows get ignored, it seems.
Love the sign in his office, "this is a dark ride", also the line, "always keep your area clean" - just classic.
LMAO
Yes and it is a literal crime that that show is not available anywhere.
@@robsemailty for the recommendation
omg he is the best. everything I have seen him in, he just dominates. He is so great
One of my favorite lawyer roles he played was the WH Counsel on The West Wing. Absolutely amazing.
I miss those night court people. Harry Anderson was like a cool uncle.
He's good at sitcoms, he's good at adventure, he's good at legal drama. Terrific range.
I loved the legal drama mini series he did
And a lot of times the comedy included physical stuff. One of my favorite Dan moments is when Bull turned him into a pretzel.
also the galaxy's funniest Klingon
Terrific analysis. Kudos.
And he's a Klingon
Loved him in night court. Also liked him in The Librarians.
Gotta finally watch that Librarians.Try him out on Boston Legal.
I used to watch Night Court as a kid and I remember that Dan Fielding was one of the funniest characters from the show. Some of the jokes probably went over my head back then. Lol
Dan Fielding was the measure of a man, for many more years than I was under the spell, which was several. May I be the 1st to say:
Me Too! Gotcha!
Same!!! Loved that show! Loved him!
Loved night court because of Dan fielding , John larroquette , I loved his no filter .
Lol same here. It was such a good show...I grow more and more optimistic about the remake as time goes.
Just might have to check it out.
this is the reboot
I was gloriously addicted to "Night Court" and eventually started pushing it on the other members of my family. My father particularly was tickled with Dan Fielding and couldn't stop giggling. The 90-mile an hour, 90-degree comedic turns were the best. I was so sad when those stars I considered friends passed away. I remember White House Counsel Trippy on "The West Wing". I know I must, MUST make an effort to see "Night Court, Re-visited" very soon! Thank you Mr. Larroquette!
Markie Post was a favorite of mine. After being on Fall Guy and a few other shows, I still remember her after all these years.
I caught the first two episodes the other night. It was good, he was great (of course), but I don't think it has sustainability.
@@taoist32 Let's not forget about her role in There's Something About Mary.
@@p-mashack Forgot about that! Haven’t seen the movie in years.
@@taoist32 After 25 years, the movie still holds up well.
Night Court is one of my all-time favs, hope this revival sticks around.
That’s up to enough people to watch it when it airs on linear television.
It's not worth the trouble and won't get renewed for a second season
One of my favorite shows as a kid.
John has always been one of my favorite actors. Brilliant artist. He always has made whatever he's been in, better.
John is a national treasure that must be preserved at all costs.
yup .. whatever preservation magic they use on Dick VanDike needs to be used on John
@@americanfreedomlogistics9984
Have some respect- Vandike? Do you know who you're referring to? Pathetic.
He's a marginally talented actor. If he's a 'national treasure', then so is Scott Baio. Oh wait, I bet you love Scott Baio, according to your intelligence.
National treasure? LMAO
I'm with you. John Larroquette is a national treasure.
THANK-YOU for addressing Crossroads, err - The John Larroquette Show! I loved that show when it debuted. The first season is some of sitcoms best television, ever. Such a diverse representation of life - real life - not just an idealised fishbowl like Friends or so many other sitcoms of that era. Indeed, it's a shame it didn't arrive later when the topics it tried to tackle may have been better received. It's a crime that this show is not available anywhere anyhow to enjoy again - no VHS, no DVD, no BluRay, no streaming.
It is so good to see an old actor that I remember from my scholarly years as still active (and not dead). With the glut of celebrities that have passed in the past couple of years, I could have been told that Larroquette has passed and I would have surmised such.
Same. The way things have been you just hear something terrible and go: "figures"
@@sarahoshea9603 It's definitely a different perspective since 3 or 4 years ago. I now revert to thinking that an older celebrity died last year rather than looking it up.
Such a great actor. His role as Lionel Tribbey in The West Wing is so small but phenomenal even amongst such a strong cast.

Thank you for returning, John!!! I watched "Night Court" when it was prime-time! I LOVED IT!!! I have the entire series on studio DVDs!!! This is a new version, but I'm sure, with John Larroquette, it WILL be one great show!!! I loved ALL the characters on the show...and greatly miss the ones who are no longer with us.
The new version ISN'T funny on any level
I don't remember my childhood very much but I remember vividly watching night court and laughing so much. I love Night Court.
One of my favorite actors…truly one of a kind!
So nice that this is coming back. Sad that we have lost a few cast members along the way.
I'm glad he's back. He was great in the original series. It'll be great to see his character again.👍👍
The new version is NOT the original series
I grew up on Night Court watching with my pops. I can't wait to watch this version with him.
I own the entire Night Court collection. I love that show. Rest in Peace to Harry and Markie.
Markie Post passed away? Wow!

Looking forward to the reboot! I've always loved John Larroquette.
I loved John when he played in the West Wing his brief stint as a Lawyer carrying around a cricket bat was hilarious with Emily Proctor
One of my favorite lines from Night Court and Larroquette - “You don’t walk through Central Park at night, you run through Central Park at night.” So happy, they are reviving the show. Big up from NYC, John!
I watched Night Court religiously. I can't wait to see this new one. I wish we had more of the original actors but Melissa Rauch is awesome and I can see how she and Dan would play so well off of each other.
What a good guy total down to earth and knows himself.
he was SO GOOD as that lawyer on Night Court... it was a fun show overall - all the characters worked well together...
My introduction to Laroquette was as Tony in 10th Kingdom. Anybody remember that miniseries? I didn't see him in Night Court till years later. I loved the show and Dan was one of my favorite characters.
We played the 10th kingdom DVDs to scratched oblivion. I can still hear him say "time for walkies!"
@@elebenty5709 One of my favorites was " Can't find wood? In a forest?"
I knew him from night court first... but 10th kingdom is one of my favorite movies ever.
Night Court is one of my all time FAV shows! And, John is still 😍😍😍😍
I wasn't going to watch the Night Court reboot, but since John Larroquette is in it, I think I might. He's been one of my favorite actors since Black Sheep Squadron.
I have always found John to be one of the most underrated actors and comedians, and yes, since the days of Night Court.
I LOVE seeing in anything!!
UYD FOR LIFE!!!
Super talented. I love that hes back with his comedic gravitas and it pleases the court. Bravo
John is an absolute legend. I sincerely hope that Dan is still the same wormy, slimy horndog we all know and love.
Legend? LMAO. RIDICULOUS
No his not life has changed him
no. he's more like Roz used to be. Still great though.
I remember seeing John start out with an all star cast in Stripes many years ago, his career has spanned decades.
Dearest John,
I hope you read this. I swear I was just thinking about you a few days ago and missed you and was thinking just how much we need you and those like you, today.
Appreciate the Service!

Him in Blind Date; "I'll KEEL YOOOOOUU". I cackle Every time.
Larroquette is one of the ALL TIME greats in television (and movies) Would LOVE to see more of him!!
John Larroquette won the Emmy award so many times for best actor they could have named it after him in the late 80s early 90s.
Love Larroquette. he was great in anything he did. Boston Legal.
I had such a crush on him back in 1987. It's never really gone away, to be honest. It's wild to me that my favorite actors are at the, "yes, I am still alive, and I'm also surprised," stage of their lives!
Shout out to him in the 10th Kingdom. One of my favourite shows ever.
I love him in the Practice. With that role he proved he could be just as adept at villainy as he is at comedy.
Glad Seth brought up The John Larroquette Show. That first season was fantastic.
And absolutely agree with John that it would have had a longer run if it had debuted 10 or 15 years later.
It will be interesting to see how they play this since Dan Fielding was a tragic character, terrified of loneliness. I hope they explore that. The first season of The John Larroquette show was amazing, dark, and incredibly progressive for the time. Unfortunately they ended up mucking it up for ratings, but that first seasons was great.
I hope it's made available for streaming!!!

"I WILL KILL PEOPLE TODAY LEO, I will kill them with this Cricket bat which was presented to me by her Majesty Elizabeth Windsor and then I will kill them again with my bare hands!!!!!!" His appearance the West Wing is still FREAKING FANTASTIC
Yes! He really stole the Show in WW, especially considering the cast and leaving such an impression when he was only in 2 or 3 episodes. He dropped so many memorable lines
@@Andreas-ni2lt Luckily he got an even juicier role on Boston legal
It's hard to deliver Aaron Sorkin lines without sounding brilliant. The first eight minutes of the HBO series The Newsroom is perhaps the best monologue ever delivered on "TV", just stunning.
@@stevechance150 Can you tell us, in one sentence or less, why that's so?

So good to have these great TV actors getting another shot. Bring back sitcoms! They are soothing and necessary
Man, its really good to see this guy!
I go back to Baa Baa Black Sheep, love horror movies, and JUST found out he was the narration?!?
So cool.
I was wondering if I was the only person who remembered he was on Black Sheep Squadron
I was so, so crazy for John Larroquette! Still am. I remember just adoring him in Blind Date! I watch it every time it is on. He is the best thing of this reboot of Night Court. I do wish he were still prosecutor though. Dan Fielding was one of the greatest characters in tv history, and the way John navigated Dan's grasp of law - it just was perfect. I watched JL Show as well, and I wish I could find that on dvd!
John is an underrated actor. If you want to take a stroll back in time watch Second Sight, it's pretty funny. I had that movie on Laser Disc. 😆

My how the time flies. First season started in 1984. We're rounding the corner on 40 years.
Night Court is one of those shows that still makes me laugh out loud no matter how many times I have seen an episode - that whole cast was wonderful, but John and Harry were my favorites. I love that after 4 consecutive Emmy wins for his portrayal of Dan Fielding, John asked not to be nominated anymore while still playing him. 😀
He couldn’t be cooler if he tried
He was so sweet that way.
John is a delightful man.
The 10th Kingdom! ❤
I just smiled when I saw him the other night and was thinking back to the early 80"s and the movie Stripes.

he did a play with Daniel Radcliff got a Tony.
@@dfangirl72 a lot of the Night Court cast has passed. Hope you're still sober, John.
Probably the best tribute I can give John Larroquette is that I have never not liked anything he was in. I watched the new Night Court last night and thought it was very good and I hope it is on the air for a very long time.
Love night court!
I remember hearing him the first time watching TCM. Being a fan of Night Court, I was floored. He did get a credit at the end if not the cash.
He was Maltz the Klingon in Star Trek III The Search for Spock. the ONLY Klingon to survive from Kruge's crew. What a FABULOUS actor.

Great to see John still delivering the goods! Eager to see the retake of the night court series. 👍🏻

I just did a rewatch of Night Court on Freevee back in November. It still holds up, and in some ways, was a much smarter show than I think people gave it credit for. I think what shocked me the most during my rewatch was how physical John was in his role as Dan Fielding. He really threw his whole body into the part and took a lot more falls than I remembered.
I'm in the middle of a rewatch and totally agree. I hadn't watched the original series in decades and didn't know if the humor would hold up. With some exceptions, it absolutely does. I had just been thinking that it's actually a better show than I remembered. I'm so glad to see John back as Dan.
