Description: When contenders take on this big event game show, there’s no covering up their nerves and hiding what’s really going on inside. The human heart doesn’t lie when you’re in The Chair. Each contender is fitted with a heart rate monitor and given a ‘redline rate’ that is 70% above their heart rate at rest. Throughout the game, they must keep their heart under the redline, or face losing the money they have won.

There is indeed an error on France, the person at 0:19 is the Greek host of the game. In France "Zone rouge" host is Jean Pierre Foucault. I am french and i love that game, too bad this one won't come back on tv show.

The format failed globally after almost a decade because of high production costs. Although the show was developed in New Zealand the United States was the first country where the show premiered. During the show’s original run just nine of the thirteen episodes that were produced were aired. The show suffered from declining viewership and was unable to compete against the Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City (which had their opening ceremony three days after the episode which involved the format’s first top prize winner aired), resulting in ABC pulling the show from the schedule a few days after the games ended. It was the most expensive game show at the time and would not even be revived today because of the huge expenses that were necessary to develop it in the first place…

Yes, I think the French version of "The Chair" was called "Zone Rouge" and it premiered on TF1 in January 2003.

@@OnScreenThatStudios I put a French show on my channel, there are others on TH-cam.
At the moment the "Icontv" channel is publishing French game show from the early 2000s, notably "à prendre ou à laisser" which is the show "Deal or no deal" in English.
I hope they release some zone rouge soon :)

It seems that pilot host wasn't Jean-Pierre Foucault. Or they at Eyeworks has put wrong footage, as he doesn't seem to speak French as for me.
