UniversalTalent, in association with JR Garritt Music. is developing a Reality TV series which portrays the life and times of a country western band headlined by the great great grandson of legendary Hank Williams.
This is not only a behind the scenes story of a country band on a national tour, it is the expose of a controversial family drama going back three generations, with a $700 million estate at stake.
The producers have secured unique access to all the characters in this complex story, including the principals Hank Williams IV, his grandfather Butch Fitzgerald, and other members of the Williams family, as well as band members, producers, fans, promoters, managers and agents intimately involved in the story.
The series will follow Hank Williams IV on tour, with unscripted, live filming as his band travels from town to town throughout the USA.
All the while, in our tandem story line, the Williams family, including Hank Williams Jr. are meeting with Hank Williams IV and his reps to bring a resolution to decades of controversy over the lineage of our protagonist. Is Ricky Fitzgerald, the grandson of Butch Fitzgerald, and who, according to legend is an illigitimite son of Hank Williams Jr., and therefore, is a legal heir to the patriarch's incredible fortune.
Or is Ricky Fitzgerald, aka Hank Williams IV, simply a great country singer with a booming baritone voice, and all the skills of Hank Williams?
These are just some of the many dramatic features highlighting our reality TV series, working title "Behind The Mirror-Hank Williams IV".
Picture Elvis Presley having a son, who for generations had covered up a legitimate heir to his fortune, and that great great grandson happened to look and sound almost just like him.
That is our story, and it only begins there.
Demographically, every Country Western Music fan in America will want to see this show. Hank Williams is the most legendary artist in the history of the genre.
The producers have secured a production team including both live camera crews, and post facilities editing and mastering to contain production costs.
