Man of Steel will forever be one of my favorite movies. It’s lore, depth and message are so huge and important. It’s an under-appreciated gem with captivating atmosphere, layered characters and absolutely magical soundtrack. Beats any Marvel film easily. This film is something otherworldly, no pun intended. Zack Snyder did really, really well. Sad that WB rushed and ruined everything later. But there is still hope that Snyder will give us a sequel which will have this same unique, ancient yet at the same time futuristic feeling to it. I said it before and I will say it again - this movie is gold.

Man of Steel was the best interpretation of a comic book superhero. There was so much underlying meaning in it. An alien race for seeing what their last survivor could do for another civilization, and the omnipresent struggle of him and his adopted family dealt with, since he was was found, to save humanity even though he wouldn’t be accepted, yet doing so, even when he could have easily let humankind suffer for their past and present transgressions. He saw the good in us, and saw the humanity in himself. He chose us over his own kind. And we still didn’t trust him, yet... he remains our Superman.
