I know Matt and Trey are not much for public suggestions but I think they should consider producing the first remake of the film "Metropolis" but with the South park characters starring with all the fun that entails. You guys have enough connections now that you could have a composer write a score that would also be able to be used to accompany the original film whose score is lost. The 16 tons Amazon scenes are so similar to scenes in Metropolis. Imagine...a modern silent film...ala Matt and Trey. think Dr. Mephesto as the crazy inventor, Wendy as the angel of the people/evil robot. Stan as the idealist son of the man who runs it all, his dad Randy, Cartmen as the head engineer and on and on. All I ask for your use of the idea is .01% of the gross. Also if you need a gondola and gondolier for the canals I am your man.

Changed my life forever since I impulse bought WOW while shopping for Xmas gifts a few hours after watching that episode. I’m actually very thankful because I loved that 3-4 year window and being a part of that community. I still worked just tail off 12-14 hours a day building a company but when I got home , read to the kids , pleasantries with the wife, then it was raiding 2-4 days a week after everyone in my house went to bed. I loved it and have zero regrets.

I remember the exact smell in the air when this episode aired. This is the pinnacle of my South Park nostalgia.

A foggy, dew-covered morning reminiscent of Spring but toward the beginning of the school year. I was 8 and somehow convinced my grandpop to watch this before school started one day. Then we played together for like 6 years, but on the same account so we'd fight over who's turn lol.
That is fucking genius man. I'm taking a media course about television and at one point we are learning about crossovers, just last week actually, crossovers between shows and crossovers between platforms etc. So I bring up this particular south park episode as an example of a crossover between a show and a videogame. My professor says that no this parody becuase the guys at wow did not know about it. But look at that apparently this episode was made in direct collaboration with Blizzard. Ha

I may be bias as a WoW fan and player when this episode came out, but it has to be my favorite of all time. Bravo.

Yeah, you are biased, Butter’s Bottom Bitch was the best episode hands down. Too many nerds love Warcraft, and still only vote for this episode, because of Nostalgia. I didn’t know one person that played WoW for more than 6th months, before they said. “WoW, this is fucking stupid,” and Scott Tenorman is also better, as was Medicinal Fried Chicken. Nerds and people that see Emmy winning episode over the top of that just assumed it must be the best episode when it isn’t even in the top ten, does anyone that has their own life, or didn’t know someone, so stupid, they played a dumbass computer game for years, actually vote on this poll? Nope it was all Millennials, who think WoW is awesome, or really dumb, and it brings back the nostalgic feeling of making fun of those people. All the trilogies and the two Go, God, Go episodes are better than this episode, as is Dances With Smurfs, Casa Bonita, Cancelled, Woodland Critter’s Christmas, I could go on for hours. But hey, live long and prosper you nostalgic nerds that ruined the South Park greatest episode bracket, Matt and Trey’s opinion doesn’t matter, it’s which episode is funniest, not which one they liked making the most.

They vote for the nostalgic feelings they have for this episode, either because of the 2 or 3 ppl they knew that were big losers, and never left their home so they could play this game. Because, they realize, “holy shit” I actually did spend that much time on WoW, It was real cool back in the day though. Or because, they tagged “Emmy-Winning episode” on top of it. Nostalgia doesn’t make a good episode. Great character development, a good story, and an ending that ties everything together perfectly, makes a great episode. mlnw has one of those things, a good story. Top 25 definitely, best ever??? What a joke.

I remember being in Iraq when this episode first came out. Being a fan of the game this episode was an awesome morale booster. Just distracted us from the crap we were dealing with and reminded us of the funny. Loved it.
I put this episode on my ipod in high school and it got passed around my classrooms so much, the workshop dudes loved it, the it kids loved it, PE kids fell in love with live to win from laul stanley. such an absolute classic.

I love how the plot came about from some random guy just entering the server and the Blizzard staff arguing wither or not he should of been killed by a staff member.
Holy crap, that explains a lot as to why the main antagonist is a fat guy killing players. The fact that some old WoW user found that specific server, basically inspired the whole premise of the episode. Thank you, local WoW permavirgin

It is kind of weird how the Truth Sword is functional despite never meant to be programmed in the game. It is a bit different from like how Pokémon Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Manaphy, Arceus, Meloetta, Genesect, and others are get where you can only get them from distribution events, and are usable in the Pokémon games.
I almost fell into this pit once, man their customer support is dead set on getting you to play. It’s like crack

Hillarious because one time a player got an item accidentally that did grant deathtouch and started clearing raids super quick. Doing something like that brings a lot of attention so that player got banned.

What is sad is that we all know or have friends that were like this
The one guy I knew who was really into wow brought a double sided dildo to all our friends house parties. Maybe in hopes to use it but he was gross so we just saw it like idk a handbag. Not sexual. Point.. he was weird and loved wow haha
My cousin was like this in WOW before he got Permanently banned.
Me and him were in a really powerful guild and would always play together.
I was the "weaker one" and we would challenge people to fights.
My cousin would then process wreck them.
Those who survived or handled themselves pretty well were added into the ranks of our guild.
Then one day he called a kid the n word in the guild chat and he got IP banned. Which for some reason resulted in me getting banned as well.
The bad thing here is that my cousin is a person without a censor he doesn't censor himself and will always be bluntly honest.
He wasn't the leader of the guild but he was pretty high up there.
And for some reason even though we were all adults there was a no cursing rule allowed in the guild.
My cousin held his tongue until a guild raid or something like that went south and my cousin started going off on the only one person of color in our guild who was online.
My cousin is not a racist he is just someone who if you piss him off enough, he'll make you second guess how your parents raised you and convince you to turn them in for child abuse.
Being his cousin I defended him without using colorful language but still defended him.
This back and forth lead to the two of us being IP banned and that kid apparently going to live with Amish uncle.
(We knew the guild leader irl and that was the story that floated around).
In short I know someone who was like this and doesn't play much MMO RPGs since.
I loved this episode! Best episode ever for me :). It made it even more personal for me because as a kid i watched my cousin play this game when i visited him. And for some reason i loved seeing him playing the game, lmao
By far, the best episode of South Park second to Covid-19 1 hour special and Black Friday wars!!!
Bet you this episode alone influenced most of the Machinima videos that came after this, these guys where no joke ahead of their times in so many ways its unbelievable

I really need to know if this episode was based at all on the "Falador massacre"? About three months before this episode aired a glitch happened in the game "RuneScape" where a couple players had PVP restrictions removed and were able to kill other players in "safe zones" where PVP wasn't allowed. It was very early morning where the game's headquarters was located, and the dev team was woken up to calls about players running through the world killing everyone. They had to rush in early to find and kick these players. There are many mini documentaries on TH-cam about it. To this day it is one of the most famous and most talked about events in the games long running history. If this episode had nothing to do with it, it is hilariously coincidental.

Its in the top 5 episodes of all time - I think its a second to Scott Tennerman Must Die, which is by far the best episode. It got me into play WoW years ago in my youth but haven't touched it since 2008 because I have a life!

For those who don't know, they did commentary for almost every episode of South Park, and you can easily find it on TH-cam. It's really good!
My god. I have never seen someone with less of a life
I watched this episode every day for like 3 months before I finally saved up enough to buy wow and the expansions and me and my friends played for years together and I made a shit load more good friends. This was such a powerful episode and truly one of the best in my opinion. They used full on machinima in wow and it worked perfectly with the standard south park style. The story is funny and perfect satire of wow players and blizzard.
Getting fat with pimples was a great touch.
