Give her some credit. Bronze or gold meet, it’s still international level. How many sprinter of ours have even regularly competed in Europe and got to a finals?

Without higher level meets, it will be difficult to stay tops or improve. Nobody is taking credit away from her. Dont miss the key point.

Amazing run by Pereira. I mean look at that "Usain Bolt" next to her... how did she beat that?

More overseas competition is good for her and a better time will come. She is the most promising singapore runner of all time.
Government must give her more money and a hdb 5 room apartment for her improvement.

Yaay I was so nervous for the 100 meters ..I feel like she could have got 3rd or 2nd in the 100m but her turbo kicked in a little late..but some how I knew she was not gonna let the 200 meters go..so happy for shanti..true Singapore born talent..

European runners legs are too thick.
No very good for 100 meters or 200 meters.
Better suited for longer distance evens like the 800 or 1500

Well done for the win but lets be realistic. She is in a bronze meet where the PB of all other runners in the field are not better than hers. Naturally she has a better chance of winning. The competition in the Silver and Gold meets are much tougher.

    shanti is super awesome ❤
but the problem is sg sports council who seem clueless in replicating her success. The council failed in investing similar training program that shanti had going.
If this is not replicated, i suppose it will be another 30 years before another female sprinter comes along.

SG needs more super shantis and low kean yew. Otherwise, the country only has joseph schooling to look at.
