🎄Christmas Gold Nuggets! Metal Detecting California Motherlode with the Garrett Goldmaster 24k 💰

I spent a few hours Christmas evening metal detecting for gold nuggets in Calaveras County, located in California's Sierra Nevada foothills. I worked a small drainage I've referred to as my savings account because tests at the top and bottom showed a lot of chunky gold. I was using my ‪@Garrett_metaldetectors‬ Garrett Goldmaster 24k metal detector because I know it's full of metal trash & it was a good exercise to learn the target IDs. I'm still learning this machine, so I'm digging everything regardless, & good thing I did! This hole was loaded with gold, lead, and iron! I added some nuggets to the nugget jar, square nails to my relic collection, & a clad coin to the change can.
I hauled out a couple buckets of soil from the hole and ran it through the recirculation sluice back at the house and found even more, about 3 grams of gold, and thats with a lot of ultra fine gold lost during the clay removal process. I will be making a shaker table
