Great information. I’m glad to see they went back. I converted my 2024 passenger to the auto-locking, pretty simple. Truck seems to also ride smoother down the highway since the axle shaft and other components aren’t turning in the front.
I am starting to wonder if this is why Ford went back to this..my guess is the application was not vetted out to be feasible before someone pulled the trigger and made this change.
Things I’ve noticed that my 2023 SRW 7.3 Godzilla F350 Lariat Sport FX4 has that was dropped for 2024: The 75th Anniversary F-series windshield decal and center screen startup graphic. The passenger side front auto/manual locking hubs. The body colored painted side mirror caps. On my Carbonized Gray Metallic paint it looks so dang good with the color matched wheels and the mirror caps. I’ve since added a gloss black exhaust tip and the Ford Accessories front and rear black badges. Gorgeous looking truck!
ya makes sense they dropped the 75th anniversary start up graphic for 2024 MY. Black exhaust tip sounds awesome! congrats on the truck! Thanks for watching
Good to hear Ford is listening to their customers! Hopefully they will also get rid of those horrible looking plastic bed & bumper steps. The addition of the steps has ruined the body lines on the SWR SuperDuty’s. #Ford #SuperDuty
@ I hear that a lot. But I work in the construction industry and you are seeing a few of these 2023+ SuperDuty’s on the job site and I rarely see workers using these extra plastic steps. Most guys step on the good old fashioned metal bumper. Like we have done for many years…. The addition of these steps was just another way to add more plastic while reducing metal/aluminum.
Wouldn't want no dummy hub on mine!! I think the name explains itself pretty well!!!! I would dare say that whoever thought this was a good idea is also named dummy or possibly dumbass!!!!
If you had true manual hubs ( like my 1997 F350 ), you wouldn;t have any parts that would fail. Of course you would have to get your butt out of the truck to lock them in. My 75 year old butt still doesn't mind this.
Ford needs to bring back 0.9% financing I’ll by one for sure I seeing a build up of super duty inventory at most dealers in my area 7.3 tremor is on my list
Was all about money. Ford is cutting corners everywhere. Saved money by only having to build half the system. They just keep increasing the price and taking things away like keyless entry in 25. I’ve been a senior master tech for thirty five years. Never seen ford going in so many wrong directions.
Man… Ford got me. My f250 build date is October 9th… just 22 days short. I bought the hub, splitted vacuum hose and small vacuum hose for a total of 650$ Canadian. Anyone know if I can get Ford to reimburse me for that expense that 31st of October and on owners don't need to do?
I found the TSB. I want to share with the whole 2024 SuperDuty community. I will try to get a refond from my dealer. dot.report/bulletins/MC-10253557-0001.pdf
My 19 ram 2500 had the front axle disconnect fail at 50k miles and left me stranded on side of the road in Colorado in -20f. That’s a trash design that fails very easily.
The best 'change' they could make is to go back to the 2022 look/design.
Thanks for the comment and for watching!

how?
Thank you for the detail and info - Your details and time that you take are seen and we appreciate it
Thanks for watching and for the kind words!
I'm liking that single cab Super Duty gasser on the end. Good, simple work beast.
It’s pretty hard to beat a single cab gas Super Duty!
Ford brought back the hub due to grinding noises on the dummy hub models. The fix is to install a regular hub. Bulletin just came out today.
Good to know that it is a simple fix!
Where is the bulletin?
I am completely happy with manual hubs, and stick to select 4 wheel drive hight or low.
That is a great point and many people will be happy with the manual hubs.

@@CTECH-REVIEW I enjoy the content for sure!
why dont they all make a high trim reg cab truck...sure they wouldnt sell a ton of em but they would sell, they used to make em
say a Lariat or LTZ.
I agree, a high trim reg cab would be cool!
Thank you for the information 😎
Great job! Thanks for the info.
I'm glad you found it helpful!
Did Ford bring back the floor shifter as well?
That would be awesome if they did!
Outstanding video
Thanks J! Thank you for watching!
Thanks!
You're welcome!
I do believe you can only put hubs on solid axles front
thats an interesting point! you may be right on that! THanks for the comment!

I love the steps. I use them all the time for getting stuff in and out of the bed. But I agree it did change the looks of the truck quite a bit.

I just bought a 24 350 HO SRW FX4. Auto locking hubs both sides. September build 2024
Wow! That’s great news. None of the September build trucks by me have both auto locking hubs.
Wouldn't want no dummy hub on mine!! I think the name explains itself pretty well!!!! I would dare say that whoever thought this was a good idea is also named dummy or possibly dumbass!!!!
Ha ha, thanks for watching!
My 9/24/24 build date 350 has the auto locking hub.
Awesome!
Interesting. Good to know. Thanks for sharing
I know right, very interesting! Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!

Diesels are good for heavy towing heavy hauling that's it
They do a great job at that
$100k for a pickup truck. Never would have imagined things would get like this.
I know it’s crazy, and next year they’re going up even more!
Just got my 2024 xlt a week ago and it has the 2 locking hubs🤷🏻♂️
Awesome!
When will the 24’s be incentivized? Local dealers are stingy still.
Video coming on this soon! In the current situation I am not seeing it happen anytime soon!
Ford needs to bring back 0.9% financing I’ll by one for sure

I understand your frustration, things are changing fast.
Maybe they can work on their transmission issues and the cam/lifter issues with the 7.3😮

I would follow up with dealer, I heard there might be a TSB on this?
@ Hello, I found this while searching on the Internet. I want to share with the whole community…

Weird they done that to begin with.
I agree
At -25below and your hub is frozen you will love GM and Dodge for being all ready engaged

Still over priced
Thanks for the comment and for watching. Looks prices continue going up for 2025 also. Sucks.
What is name of this dealership?
Overpriced crap.
sounds like a ram driver
@@srpeligrow9792 Nope use to be diehard ford but now everyone is building overprice junck no matter the brand.
