Good Lord, the energy and entertainment! When he did THIS song, the audience drummed their feet at “thunder rolls” breaks, and the entire Civic Center shook and growled like thunder. You have to listen to more. I would recommend just about anything, but “Rodeo” and “The Dance” are two of my favorites, but you MUST have heard “Friends in Low Places”. Sadly, (for his fans), he retired and now devotes his time to his family life. Married to Trisha Yearwood, who can blame him. Occasionally you can catch a glimpse of him on her cooking show, but no singing.
The Dance is definitely my favorite after this one. It's heartbreaking til the end, then a massive Aww moment. His voice is stellar no matter what he's singing though, so you can't really choose 'wrong'!

AB, When the Song first came out......the radio stations played it here in Tennessee!!! But, the media/music industry told Garth and his music producers that for the song to even play on the stations to cut the 3rd verse!!! I've seen the LIVE version and the Crowd actually sang the 3rd verse for Garth!!! He Loved it, that they Loved it!!!

State of Mine covered this song and added the "controversial" (for the 80/90s) 3rd verse where its confirmed she shot him. Garth has said " its great to hear the third verse in the studio" as he would only perform it live. He also said he "wished I had the balls" to add the third verse. ❤
Garth is such a beautiful soul and a great entertainer. His voice is magical and I could listen to him all day. Nice to see that he is back on a concert tour.
