  • In todays tutorial I will be showing you how I created this creative kinetic type project in After Effects. I first created this piece of kinetic type back in July 2020 on my Instagram and since then I have had a lot of people asking me how I did. So I thought I would share this tutorial with you all showing you exactly how it was made.

    Awesome tutorial, once again you explain little things as you do them like with the anchor points, hold key frames, etc and it's super helpful!
    Are you using 2 different mics for the audio? The audio cuts kinda stood out, I wonder if you had a tiny bit of white noise during the video it would make it less obvious or fade out some of those clips. I feel terrible saying stuff like this, I learned so much, and the fact you make one of these each week!

      Haha that’s a result of late night editing after a busy day. Trying to do these in the little spare time I have at the moment is proving difficult, but I want to share my knowledge with everyone. So doing the best I can with the time I have.

    • @GeorgieYana
      @GeorgieYana  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used a plug-in called Move Anchor Point. I go in to it in more detail in my latest tutorial including a link of where to get it from

    I'm not sure if things have changed with all the updates in the last few years, but for some reason I can only get regular white to black gradients to work. I made a reflected gradient in Photoshop like you said, but for some reason the effect doesn't work with it. (I wanted the reflected kind so the effect can start in the middle of the text like you have.) With the standard white to black, the text spills in from top to bottom which is okay but yours looks way cooler from the middle like an arrow. Any thoughts on why this doesn't work now?

    Cool. But why not use a shape layer for the gradient, where you can have as many colors as you want?

      You’re on the wrong graph. Super easy fix. Right click on your graph and select speed graph, then it will look like mine 😊
