I think the market positioning is spot on because the megane rs ‘s reputation of bigger hot hatches has been building through four generations and enthusiasts are loving them!
I wasn't such a fan of the channel when I found it a few months ago, but I'm coming around - particularly with your love / appreciation of all things Porsche! - and am really enjoying your enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for the content. Bravo!
I had the old RS Megane, well 2. They got under my skin like nothing else I owned. Mega cars, the new one has a lot of differences over the old one, but so far it looks to be great. Looking forward to see how they get on sales wise.

Great video! People who haven’t driven Meganes really don’t understand the handling of them. I have a 265 cup and its leagues above other hot hatches on handling. Civic Type R is on a similar level but everything else is way below them. There’s a reason why the main cars at the ring are Megane RS’ and Porsches in massive numbers. When Renault release the Trophy of this car, it will be the quickest FWD car on the ring hands down
The other day I was in a cafe that had one of those big industrial COFFEE MACHINES and the side was ROSSA- CORSA with a giant FERRARI LOGO on the side EPIC
it seems the larger TH-camrs are turning into mini tv corporations and getting exclusive rights to show certain cars. A wide range of excuses from the smaller tubers as to why they made a decision not to film. A very honourable thing to do. Sam, you always have a unique style and for many of us, your channel is the first port of call to see such cars.
I really like the Megane RS! I think Renaultsport products are always one of the best driving cars in their segment. £34K seems steep to me, it's only a few grand more than a Golf R which I won't think would be as fast or as fun around track but has a much nicer interior. That's the one thing that put me off ever owning a Renaultsport car but I suppose they're more about teh driving experience than quality. Please keep reviewing/driving more hot hatches!!!
well i agree with you. They did a great job with engine, suspension,weight distribution, the steering feels very responsive sounds good not like older models but enough.But when i got first inside it i thought it looks cool until i touched the materials, i think they forgot about interior and focused on exterior and performance. WV did a great job at the interior but the AWD system is suited for everyday driving , on the track it wont handle that well as the megane rs does or the type civic r but its nice to feel compfy
The secondary turn in feel won't be to do with the 4 wheel steering. The Cup Chassis cars are equipped with a mechanical LSD, which from factory is VERY aggressive. It take a while to get used to, but once you are able to predict when the LSD bites (especially when the car comes on boost and you hit max torque), you'll realise the insane mid-corner grip levels the car is capable of. They are quite unlike any other front wheel drive cars, and a proper weapon on a twisty back road!!
Renault has been on a real roll lately, their cars looks so good and clearly veeery capable! :O I wish they where available in the sims I have, seem over looked in serious simulator titles :(

The thing about Renault is that, even if they do their interiors cheap, they will not lack of engine and chassis. They have many, many years of research and development that, just in handling, these cars feel faster than any other around the track. It is not by chance that a well driven renault can destroy most of their top contenders in a track with a lot of corners, and that the Ring is full of them.
Loving French car is a different thing. This RS not on sale in my country yet but I would have choose this one instead of rivals. French hot hatch lovers should be agree with me. For understanding more about Renault hatches, I advise you to drive a Clio Williams first than try Clio RS 182 Throphy. Afterwards try Megane RS's. I am sure you will get a good idea.
Give the hyundai i30n a try. I got one till the end of the month, and i am very impressed by it! And it comes with a pretty nice shifting 6 speed manual😍

I really like the wheels on that Megane. We dont have Renault in Canada, but i'm sure they'd be popular. And that Gavin fellow in the Lotus... I like his style!
I didn't want to compare, just as an information, if you want a comparison 308-Megane RS google is your friend ;) As a 308 driver, i really like the little steering wheel, the reverse speed counters and the two-tone paint u can have on the GTi (unfortunatly not mine)
The problem with the Clio (other than its price and its French... ie quality) is the lack of rev's, same goes for most other hot hatches and some sports cars, the Lotus at the end showed this off to full effect, rev'd (8000+rpm) means audible excitement and a sense of never ending gears and speed... I know why they don't rev but its still an issue.
Need to do more Lotus content, they are making the best drivers cars out there at the moment. Right up there with the GT3 and RS for me, and you can actually get one lol
You know if Shmee has two Focus RS's , the hothatch market must be good and that Lotus was one of the best sounding cars their ! When are you going to sell your 718 Cayman and get the Macan GTS ?
Am I the only one that thinks is he replaces his Cayman, he should replace it with one of these? I know it's a downgrade, but it is a great car and perhaps could spare some cash for another car also?
Great car and super capable, but not for 34k, not at all. Most of these cars are ultimately used as dailys, and that's where you want a slightly better cabin and nicer build quality. Can't see them shifting many at that price tbh, 9/10 people are going to plump for a Golf R/RS3 type thing surely.
Interesting car, would like to drive one and compare to my wifes Manual Leon Cupra 300 which is a great drivers car, I prefer the Leon to the S3 we had before it.

They don’t on track simply because the megane can stay flat out on corners. Nurburgring ring is littered with megane rs
