  • It was an exceptional privilege to engage in a conversation with Nhi. Her unwavering fortitude and profound understanding in the face of adversity truly embody the spirit of a cancer warrior.
    I would like to draw your attention to her channel, @NhiTranLee, where you can find valuable insights and perspectives.
    Additionally, we have recorded two separate podcasts today, which I believe will be of interest to you.
    Here is the link to the first podcast:

    I am here from Dr Nhi Tran Lee's channel. This was interesting, I learnt a lot. I also watch Unboxing Cancer with Me, another Esophageal cancer youtuber. Hope you will check out his channel . It is a fairly new and small channel. I wish you both and Dr Lee the best, also hope your channels do well.❤

    I enjoyed listening to the chat, diet and protocol update. At least Dr Nhi has found some success in the past by eating clean on her plant based diet halting the growth of most cancers except the skull. I'm just a little confused about her changing to a more meat and fat diet. Although I can see that it is a popular option that many are trying. At least now she knows what she can fall back on if she wants/needs more nutrients in her diet.

      Thank you so much for your feedback. I am not sure, but I think she is adding a ribeye per day to build more muscle mass and gain weight. I can't speak for her, though, but i believe this is what she said.

    What I have read from the work of Dr. Seifried is that glutamine can be broken apart by the cell to use for production of ATP (energy) it produces a different acid then Lactic acid. Additionally, it is much less useful and is weaker for the cell to use to generate energy as it has to use energy to break it down (simplified).

    Dr. Seyfried has stated that cancer cells cannot burn fat, in the absence of glusoce and glutamine. So if you have glucose and glutamine, then the cancer cell may also us fat as fuel.

    If you want to lose or gain wt increase or decrease your fat intake on keto or carnivore. Calories come from fat on keto. I was suffering from cachexia and dying , when I went on keto, it stabilized my weight. I found coconut oil was the best for stabilizing my weight
    Olive oil could make me lose weight depending upon the amount I was ingesting.

      How do you explain the difference between coconut oil to olive oil in this case?

    • @rosemaryflee
      @rosemaryflee หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ari123621 It could be because coconut oil is a saturated fat, and olive oil is a monounsaturated fatty acid. They will both keep you in ketosis. Half of the fatty acids in coconut oil are MCT's.
      The observation between the two was how I percieved the difference affecting a person's weight.

    50:02 in my experience and opinion, her experience with fasting and extreme weight loss is due to her diet. That is not my experience at all with a carnivore diet.
    Carbs do not provide enough satiety. That drives the hunger.

    Dont worry to much about glutamine. High fat carnivore with grass fed and finished, regenerative beef + very, very low carb, fermented foods like high quality sauerkraut would benefit you the absolute most. So basically only consume fermented foods at 10% food volume with fatty ruminant meat being 90% and when you do prolonged fasts, do it without the fat. If you are worried about your weight. Dont worry. Fat wont raise insulin enough to give you healthy growth as you would need essential amino acids from the diet. So to get full healing power of prolonged fasting plus the up regulation of stemcells from bone marrow, do fasting without the animal fats. Trust me, you wont regret doing that. Fasting is very complex so allowing your digestive system to calm down and go to sleep for a prolonged period is going to give you the FULL power of healing. Remember that since you are still consuming fat. Although you are mimicking a fast thanks to almost no insulin response from fats, there are still aspects of a true fast that you are not experiencing, like deep, deep autophagy and even more upregulation or stemcells plus the digestive system finally taking a break and your digestive system is connected to all endocrine aspects of the human body so icannot stress the importance of true fasting enough. I believe its one of the big missing pieces to your protocol.
    Although I greatly respect anthony chaffee, and he believes that you can experience the same levels of healing on carnivore as you can on true fasting. I don't believe you can because humans have evolved to fo true fasting. So through evolution our bodies have learned how to get most healing benefits from true fasting
