It's a story of a person who falls in love with someone when actually they both gets apart because from there he actually starts feeling the absence of that girl from his life. MUSIC is the thing which makes a meaning in someone's life when the one looses that someone especial from his life; Lyrics matter's a lot. So after they both apart he sings songs from his heart which means something for him. " When he was no one he had nothing, After being a Rockstar, still he is lacking something. Love" It's a real life of every second person in the street. I Love the movie Rockstar. It is an EPIC movie.
I see it as an inspirational one-I have seen it five times- I may see it 500 times- it is the most humane creation speaking for freedom in all dimension and ways to attain it, the pain of being ordinary and being well known - person or issue or a fact, and above all, the allegory of a love story. The span of the movie is so wide I may need my whole life to feel it, think it, live it and may not even express properly what it is. It is a wholesome creation with all virtue, values and vices.
frankly i did not understand the movie in the first time and also really disppointed by imtiaz....then after some days i saw it second time and after that i kept on watching the movie again and again, i wud just open the movie to see some song and then i never notice when the song finishes and i keep on watching the whole movie......thats the magic of imtiaz ali, all his movies are so mesmerising, so different ..i love all his movies, socha na tha, love aaj kal, jaw we met, rock star , highway, they all are my favs
