What I meant by "get used to mom jeans" was: Women's jeans are made with decent pockets but they end up looking like what we call mom jeans because the pouch of fabric under the outermost layer will inevitably bulge and distort the waistline, thus making the hips look less flattering.
Mxayadi what I mean by women clothes are made to sell (which isn’t covered in the video) is that items for women are specifically made to get the most profit and so aren’t good quality a lot of the times and are more expensive then things for men. things like razors shaving cream tooth paste jeans and many other things are better when then are made for men (or sometimes the same) but the women’s items are more expensive

Dickies recently updated their women's line of pants and their front pockets are now equivalent to men's wear in the same size. The day I slipped my entire phone into my shorts pocket, I almost jumped for joy. They will be getting my business from now on.
Purses are so inconvenient. Most you can’t even fit a paperback book in. I’ve actually accidentally conditioned myself to being able to withstand heat, by constantly wearing jackets with pockets. It’s right there, and you can’t loose it, way better than a purse. And in some of my longer coats I can even fit a hardcover book in the pockets. Purses are easily losable and take up valuable hand space. I also see pockets into all my dresses. Pockets > purses

From my experience so far, I am able to get my Levis Jeans pocket extended right at the store while buying without extra cost. That’s why all my jeans are now Levis.
Solution: Buy men's pants. They might fit differently at first, but I promise you'll fall in love eventually. If you're worried about them not being tight enough, there's plenty of skinny jean options. If you have bigger hips, try to get ones with stretchier waists. Trust me, it's worth it!
That sounds like a great option, just not for me. I already have a xs with pants for women, I'm not gonna find pants for men that'll fit me. And for some things, such as shorts, I even need smaller.

I once worked in the marketing department of a fashion company (to which I will not name). During my time there, the company wanted to revamp its brand and target customers, but when my team and I tried to bring up the idea of being the company that actually made pockets possible on women clothing, the buyers and 'designers' freaked out. They stated women pockets with stuff in it will look horrible and bulges are not sell--in less than 5 minutes completely dismissing the idea. On top of that, they put very little focus on ecomm as well. Fast forward to now, they have dramatically downsized their company, barely has any store fronts and last I heard, throwing everything they can at ecomm. Just to give an example of how close minded some people are in their attachment and 'belief' of how things should be.
i don´t get the "jeans with big pockets look bad" thing. If its actual nice fabric it wont show if its empty and you´ll only see the outlines of the stuff you choose to put in. so nobody loses in that situation.

If clothes were designed for comfort then ideally women's pants should be larger around the hips because their hips are larger than men. But we did the opposite by making that area tight as hell.

I gathered electronics from around my house to see what I could fit in one pocket of my shorts. I was able to fit: 3 IPhones, an IPad mini, a 3DS, a Nintendo Switch, and the cords for each one of those devices in just one pocket. I showed my sister what I could fit in 1 pocket. She now wears men's shorts.

You can buy stick-on zipper pockets from Amazon and add them to your jackes & vests. I've done with a few denim jackets & vests. It IS awesome having inside pockets.
ACE I buy Barbour jackets that give me all the pockets I need including an inner breast pocket. Crew clothing also give women inner breast pockets. It's probably the fast fashion companies that don't bother giving us pockets.
I stopped wearing jeans for a full decade and when I purchased a new pair last fall I was shocked by how small the pockets were in the front. And the lack of pockets in sweatpants...grrr! My solution: I buy men’s clothes. For the first time I am grateful that I don’t have a classic curvy-girly shape. And as a bonus, men’s clothes are made better, come in more sizes, and they’re cheaper.

I thrifted a pair of mens' trousers recently and was shocked at how I could go out without the small backpack I usually take with me. I fit my whole wallet and phone in my pockets. Before that, I could fit a tic-tac in my pockets and be happy about it.

Victorian dresses and skirts had huge pockets in them. The Edwardian era skirts also had very large pockets as well. You can fit everything from your purse in them.

This is exactly what I've been thinking for years, I mean a bit different but I'll touch on that. Women's pocket have become limited due to fashion, there's no doubt. When it comes to design people start off thinking about functionality of an item, but over time people don't want the rusty orginal, they want a cooler design to look more appealing, but at a point this comes at a cost, because if it becomes too appealing it loses it's intended purpose which is functionality. My original theory though, was that they made pants like this to sell more purses and handbags. It makes more sense once you include the fashion bit
I have a sweatshirt that has like six pockets, completely functional. But the problem is, I live in India. Winters here come only for 2-3 months. Neverthless, those winter times when I get to wear that sweatshirt, becomes the best time of my life. It is so good to be able to fit in you smartphone, your keys and your cash within your pocket!!!

It's even WORSE in schools with uniform! My sister's uniform pocket in her SKIRT could only fit a single small NOTEBOOK; meanwhile I could fit like a textbook in mine! Schools are so ODD for what reason?!??!?
And we either have to hold it in one hand so we only have one and free or we hold it on our shoulders and they always slip off and get in the way and we have to adjust them. Having bags cross shouldered isnt good either because it puts weigh on only one shoulder and i hate to hold it that way especially on winter when i have a thick coat. I'm a pocket woman. This is why I buy men's clothes. I refuse to carry on of those damn purses bc they can be stolen anytime you don't have it wrapped around your shoulder w/a lock and key. i’ve honestly just started sewing pockets into most of my dresses. i got the idea when i found out i could fit my entire pencil bag into my school uniforms pockets. so technically it’s more practical since dresses and skirts often have more room for pockets when compared to pants

What I meant by "get used to mom jeans" was: Women's jeans are made with decent pockets but they end up looking like what we call mom jeans because the pouch of fabric under the outermost layer will inevitably bulge and distort the waistline, thus making the hips look less flattering.

Purses are so inconvenient. Most you can’t even fit a paperback book in. I’ve actually accidentally conditioned myself to being able to withstand heat, by constantly wearing jackets with pockets. It’s right there, and you can’t loose it, way better than a purse. And in some of my longer coats I can even fit a hardcover book in the pockets. Purses are easily losable and take up valuable hand space. I also see pockets into all my dresses. Pockets > purses

Solution: Buy men's pants. They might fit differently at first, but I promise you'll fall in love eventually. If you're worried about them not being tight enough, there's plenty of skinny jean options. If you have bigger hips, try to get ones with stretchier waists. Trust me, it's worth it!
That sounds like a great option, just not for me. I already have a xs with pants for women, I'm not gonna find pants for men that'll fit me. And for some things, such as shorts, I even need smaller.

I once worked in the marketing department of a fashion company (to which I will not name). During my time there, the company wanted to revamp its brand and target customers, but when my team and I tried to bring up the idea of being the company that actually made pockets possible on women clothing, the buyers and 'designers' freaked out. They stated women pockets with stuff in it will look horrible and bulges are not sell--in less than 5 minutes completely dismissing the idea. On top of that, they put very little focus on ecomm as well. Fast forward to now, they have dramatically downsized their company, barely has any store fronts and last I heard, throwing everything they can at ecomm. Just to give an example of how close minded some people are in their attachment and 'belief' of how things should be.
i don´t get the "jeans with big pockets look bad" thing. If its actual nice fabric it wont show if its empty and you´ll only see the outlines of the stuff you choose to put in. so nobody loses in that situation.

A lot of women choose skinny jeans over regular jeans, and having large pockets defeats the point of skinny jeans because large pockets require slack in the jeans. You get what you pay for. Stop whining about my simple solution and find something else to do. Also, no one deserves to act entitled, you only get what you earn. Women don't juat deserve large pockets because they want them, they need to choose between utility and comfort. You can't tow 7.5 tons with a Honda Accord, you need a truck for that. Comfort or utility? That's all it comes down to.

Women's clothing and the whole fashion around women is not here to serve women but for women to serve it. Like high heels, clothes from materials that don't breathe and hairstyles that are impossible to maintain. Our standards are so high we can barely ever reach them...

I tried to stop using handbags and it was frustrating, I never realized how poor pockets are in women's clothing. I still try not to use handbags but if you leave the house with more then you cell phone and your wallet u have to use the purse!

This is exactly what I've been thinking for years, I mean a bit different but I'll touch on that. Women's pocket have become limited due to fashion, there's no doubt. When it comes to design people start off thinking about functionality of an item, but over time people don't want the rusty orginal, they want a cooler design to look more appealing, but at a point this comes at a cost, because if it becomes too appealing it loses it's intended purpose which is functionality.
My original theory though, was that they made pants like this to sell more purses and handbags. It makes more sense once you include the fashion bit
I have a sweatshirt that has like six pockets, completely functional. But the problem is, I live in India. Winters here come only for 2-3 months. Neverthless, those winter times when I get to wear that sweatshirt, becomes the best time of my life. It is so good to be able to fit in you smartphone, your keys and your cash within your pocket!!!

And we either have to hold it in one hand so we only have one and free or we hold it on our shoulders and they always slip off and get in the way and we have to adjust them. Having bags cross shouldered isnt good either because it puts weigh on only one shoulder and i hate to hold it that way especially on winter when i have a thick coat. Really backpacks are the only practical way of carrying a lot of stuff but carrying less stuff for women requires a purse or something

The fact that phone companies like Apple and Samsung keep making their phones bigger and bigger, makes the pocket struggle even worse. I mean you can fit a flip phone...kinda, and that's about it

I'm a pocket woman. This is why I buy men's clothes. I refuse to carry on of those damn purses bc they can be stolen anytime you don't have it wrapped around your shoulder w/a lock and key. So I'll just stick to Waring men's clothes & I don't care what kinds of names people want to call me. I usually get called a dike bc I also have short hair. But I don't want to take up to an hour to fix me hair or make up. I'm a simple women who like a wash an go hairstyle & be able to carry a pocket knife or gun if someone want to try to take advantage of a women or my family. I had these great jeans, they lasted quiet a long time and it was sad when they were of no use. Turns out they were for men I didnt realize.
