MASTER 1 with new Salamangreat: th-cam.com/video/pUypDilBT28/w-d-xo.html Video notes I missed here: For the Nibiru combo, I was supposed to summon back the Jack Jaguar to the Sunlight Wolf zone to add back Gazelle for followup, that's the reason I dumped it in the first place afterall 😂
Thank you for your guide, I enjoy your in-depth teaching style and liked following along in Solo mode. I hope you consider doing a followup video with ranked gameplay examples like your previous guides had. So far, I’ve either forgotten my lines or think so slow my opponent forfeits (because playing around negates/handtraps complicates things), and I found those replay commentaries very helpful while learning.
39:35 if you want to make calculations easier you can actually press mouse wheel button to trigger the UI, and it will show the total attack on your field, plus other details like card numbers etc.
I'm learning/playing both Unchained and Salads for the Link x Fusion event, it goes without saying that I'm weak af combo player but both seem much weaker without their XYZ/Synchro ED helpers. Btw, you can buy only 2 Salads structure decks, craft few SRs, save the gems for Horus/Salads pack in shop and pray. 😁😁
I am brand new to YuGiOh Master Duel. I decided to build a deck based off a 2 year old video. Which is SalamanGreat with Access and Transcode Talker. I'm working on building this version. I am also thinking about buying 3 of the OCG Japanese / English Structure Deck packs. Just to have a physical copy of it at home for the heck of it. I don't play TCG, so I don't need to buy cards that are legal for it. Plus, the Salamangreat Sanctum Structure Deck is such a decent value compared to building the deck in TCG for like $300+ rofl. I am really enjoying YuGiOh though. I even went and watched the YuGiOh Vrains Episodes with Soulburner to see the SalamanGreat deck in the Anime.
Nib is in the top 10 most played cards on ladder, I think it's fair to respect it if you can with this deck. I feel like the Will and Sprind stuff is greedy on Maxx C simulator so I play both traps, but this deck already hates roaches so I dunno how much of a difference it really makes. Other than that, great video, I'm sure it will be very helpful for people new to the deck.
Nib is in the top 10 because there are only so many generic cards that can be played in multiple decks. Among the most commonly played handtraps (Maxx C, Ash, Imperm, Veiler) it's only played in more decks than Veiler, however the difference is that the other handtraps are usually seen at 3 copies per deck while Nibiru is more often only played at 1 copy. www.masterduelmeta.com/cards/Nibiru%2C%20the%20Primal%20Being Will isn't necessarily for turn 1 setup. It's also a hedge for going 2nd because Will is actually really strong going 2nd playing into boards while drawing rage is largely useless. Even the Meowmine required with Sprind baits out interactions and combines extremely well with S:P to play through multiple cards on a board (and it's at worst the easiest extender).
Hey, great video! I remembered in one of your video about salamangreat you said Salamangreat can play through drolls and we can use that like an out to maxx C. Is it still a viable strategy now as of the new support? Thanks
@@TheShapestofSnatches sorry the idea is you stop the max-c with ash if you have it in hand on your turn and then you can get it back from your grave to use their turn.
Mr snatch which deck you prefer: the Salamangreat of Fire pure build or the Code of Soul build? Lots of debate on this in the MD discord and idk which one to pick
Code of Soul isn't related to fire, you can run it in any build or even run Debug without Code. If you choose to exclude Code, it's out of fear of super poly/Nibiru/lava golem/kaijus which is fair.
You search Weasel on the 5th summon before you get nibbed or the option of S:P if they handtrap you at a later point. Also it lets your mirage summon something else like a Jack Jaguar for additional bodies/recycling.
@@ayham613 Yeah for the 1 card Debug there isn't really much of a difference (you can actually add back Gazelle with Sunlight Wolf if you Mirage summon Fire so that might even be better)
@@TheShapestofSnatches yeah I thought so too btw I had the same Idea about putting 2 SoF in the deck to get the ns surprised not a lot of decklists not doing that and you might be the 1st one I've seen to actually summon jaguar instead of spinny to prevent it from being banished so this is really a W guide
@@ayham613 Yeah most builds have been either Debug or Fire focused but I'd rather open both than neither since the deck is too vulnerable to interruption without a good normal summon (and md has even less copies already bc of the mining semi, thanks again Mathmech).
Is there an update to this deck for budget version… I ended up joining when selection deck ended I’m Going to cry ;-; I can’t afford the deck and staples I don’t think
There's a cheaper version with less URs (no Code of Soul or Pyro Phoenix needed) however it does require 3 Raging and a few other extra deck staples: pbs.twimg.com/media/GN5sdpJWwAANWcf?format=png&name=small
I don't understand why you can pop the monster on your opponent's field with Promethean Princess, protect yours with Balelynx, and Princess still gets summoned. I would have thought that since it's worded "destroy them, and if you do, Special Summon this card", the "and if you do" wouldn't activate since you didn't end up destroying yours.
@@TheShapestofSnatches Does that mean that if I trigger promethean princess and successfully destroy my own monster, but the opponent protects theirs (let's say with a Balelynx of their own), Promethean would also summon herself? She would only not summon herself if neither of the monster gets destroyed?
37:55 I tested this combo but it doesn’t work, the board wipe and the weasel have to be activated in the same chain, so pyro will board wipe before you can get the burn damage
Re: playing through nibiru. You never actually used jaguar. Just send roar and grab rage with raging. Then you have pop 4 non target and omni. Play 3 raging and relink after nibiru and it didnt matter at all.
@@kennypk you and your lullabies 😂. I don't really want to run too many copies of cards like Code of Soul or even Spinny for that matter tbh since they're not actual starters and this deck actually does not have a high starter count as is compared to a lot of other decks (even with 3 Debug and 2 Fire which is more than most decks run, it's still only sitting at around 13)
Yeah my bad I was actually supposed to summon the jaguar back to add back the Gazelle for followup. Not every build runs Rage and 3 Raging Phoenix but you can do that too (I typically just put them on better have it on MD ladder tbh unless the toggle is suuuper sus)
@@TheShapestofSnatches makes sense. There was also the terror top option. Ryan yu did well with it in a DC-style play-a-thon with top MD players (im sure youre aware)
Depends. You can always add Charge instead of Roar if you're really afraid of Super Poly to summon back Pyro Phoenix (you can still live though if you drew into a bunch of handtraps with the other 6 cards in your hand and Princess/Meowmine in grave).

It's ironic seeing this video right now because I paired with you In a casual duel this morning and got wrecked by this deck! 😂
Bro got his salad tossed
Sorry that was to get the deck picked up by untapped 😅
Yo. You actually paired in casual mode 😱

i noticed that most of thier effects work if they have a monster so to counter them should i just destroy the monsters as fast as they hit the field ?
Uh, it kinda depends on the hand. The best counter is non-destruction removal since salad monsters going to grave can still trigger Gazelle's summon.
Sprind is now a Salamangreat card lol. Salad is now better than Spright. Look how far Spright has fallen, yet Tear is still overstaying it's welcome.
