Very interesting! I really enjoy watching this exploration of mines and caves. I'm not aware of any accessable places around where I live , so the next best thing is watching it on TV. Thanks for sharing what you do with us!
@@ghosttownsandminesofwashington You bet! There is a very interesting historic mining district very nearby to where I live here in the deserts of SW Utah called Silver Reef which I have been to many times, but all mines there are completely sealed off.
Sadly, you can't tell anyone of your passion for exploring; I don't even talk about the places I go hiking to, let alone any mines I explore. Everyone is so full of preconceived horror stories and fears that everything that isn't paved or concrete is unsafe. And they don't mind telling you all about it and all the ways to stay safe; you wish you never opened your mouth. I was looking through the comments, and you're getting quite a following of armchair explorers going for your videos, and you just might change the stigma (?) a little of what society places on the dangers of places they know nothing about except their own self-instilled fears of the outdoors; good job!
this is a very interesting exploration, this mine are much better preserved and it is a real insight into history. in Ukraine, unfortunately, old mines are flooded or looted. I will be happy to recommend your channel to my friends
I appreciate all the details and history you provide on your explorations. You put in a lot of time and obviously research your destinations thoroughly. True exploration enthusiasm and time put in.
I've crossed that bridge 6 times and each time soggy splinters of timbers break off and float down into the depths, the air isn't too bad for anyone who can climb a mountain. I've dug out the upper most adit twice and it appears to be completely flooded, there's also several small tunnels in the area.
Nice explore, all though a bit on the wet side. Those winzes were cool, too bad they were flooded ! I trust you are enjoying your Easter weekend 🐣🐇Take care and stay safe out there. Till the next, thank you for the share and effort to produce. ⛏⚒⛏
Great question. You have to examine it closely to look for the wooden collar that goes around the shaft. In this particular case, the entire shaft spanned the floor, so there was no real solid ground.
Great video thanks for sharing
Thank you. We appreciate that!
I’m glad you took video, so I can explore from the safety of my lawn chair 👌
Glad to.be of service. Thanks!

We have done similar over the years. Went in that flooded upper you dug open. Fun area to explore. Thanks for the comments.

Thank you very much. Hope you are having a great holiday weekend as well.
How do you know if the floor is continuous and you’re not walking over a vertical shaft
Great question. You have to examine it closely to look for the wooden collar that goes around the shaft. In this particular case, the entire shaft spanned the floor, so there was no real solid ground.
What is the engraving on the structure at 39:02?
Great question. We have stills of it but we are not sure. We will look into that.
Do you know what you would find, or if anyone has put on scuba gear to explore the depths of that incline?
There are two sub levels below. Yes, a number of years ago, it was dove.
Do you ever find artifacts other then the rails?
All the time, check out some of our other videos!.
The trough is probably the Launder that carried water across the winze from the continuing tunnel.
Good thought makes sense. Thanks for commenting.
What if you went up the raise?
It's been done. It goes to a mid level.
