Good stuff as always. My father (b. 1907) was a hard rock miner in San Juan mountains of Colorado in the 20's & 30's. Lost his eyesight by drilling into a mishole in Butte Montana in 1955. I've never had the courage to enter the old mines I've hiked to in Monte Cristo area and other mining districts. Thanks for taking us inside!
@9:50 That sounds exactly like a lot of the mines up here in Alaska. Most any near where Im at are nowhere near as deep or impressive. There's a few, but but mostly its a short tunnel, and sometimes even just a small room sized blasted chunk of mountain. Very cool footage, neat terrain these mines are tucked into as well. Oh, and I had just recently found and subscribed to the channel. 😊
How much are those gas meters, and what are the key things I need in one? Selecting suppliers would be nice, too. Thank you, and awesome video! Obviously, this wasn't your first rodeo-good job. I need to search for your other video productions and watch them. Good job, and keep it up!

I watched this entire video before checking the beginning- which I skipped- only to realize I know exactly where this is! I've wanted to get out there for years. Thanks for exploring it for me, haha! The entrance to that third adit is really something. You guys are brave. Have you been to the mines in the basin to the north? I've read that there are thousands of feet of workings, as well as some cool artifacts. Only that it is also quite difficult to reach. If I recall correctly, your old site had a section on that mine so I guess you have been there. Must have been a long time ago. As well as the mine group to the west, over the ridge- my favorite of all time. Been there multiple times and found almost every adit- but still looking for the rest of that plane wreckage! Cheers!
Why do some mines like this one and Mystery above Monte Cristo have tunnels with slanted walls and ceilings? Are they following natural faulting in rock, or are the tunnels following veins that have a profile shaped that way?
Cool salamander!! I was wondering if wildlife is ever encountered in mines, other than bats. It seems like even rats don’t have a good reason to go into them, not enough food.
@@ghosttownsandminesofwashington wow😲 sir did you try for send submersible drown under the deapth of water for trying to explore what is in ther that filled water tunnel in off camera

Yes, we have done the basins out there. We also recently did a video of your favorite basin. Appreciate the comments.

Hanging wall or block of rock that sits above a fault plane or mineral deposit.
They followed the ore. $$$
That's pretty damn steep.
👍

We see rats frequently on the Eastside. Thanks for commenting.
Sir did you found any tumb in mine
No we didn't.
Sir did measure how much miter deapth water in that tunal that tunal filled by water
If you're asking how deep the water was in meters, it was 0.914 meters.

Sir why don't you shift that motor from abadand tunnel
Too remote and heavy.
Have you ever encountered pockets of low oxygen, such that your detector went off and you had to turn back?
We have encountered air lower than 20.9 around 18.5, but it wasn't a situation we needed to turn back.
That was skip cart railing in the winze.
