Fun reaction. Arnold was not a household name or a movie star yet, and was just a champion bodybuilder and struggling actor. The "Pumping Iron" documentary didn't come out for four more years until 1977, and "Conan the Barbarian" didn't come out until 1982.
The Dating Game, the birth of "The Bachelor" - If you guys watch old movies, "Pumping Iron" stars Arnold and it gives a good showing of his real personality. He loves to play with mind games with people's head.
Hi, Joe, DT, and Holly! Paul here. Wow, the Dating Game! That's definitely a blast from the past! (I used to watch that off and on, waaaay back lol. I don't remember seeing Mr I'll Be Bach! on it, though. I obviously missed that one.) "Keep 'em comin'!"
Serial killer Rodney Alcala was a Bachelor on the dating game. “The show was heavy on innuendo. The host introduced Alcala as a “successful photographer who got his start when his father found him in the darkroom at the age of 13, fully developed.” …Alcala was selected by the show because he was tall, handsome and charming. Producers did not conduct a background check, so they didn’t know he had also already murdered at least two women in Southern California. Previously, he had served 34 months in prison for the brutal r*** and beating of an 8-year-old girl. He had briefly been put on the FBI’s Most Wanted list as well. Somehow, The Dating Game bachelorette Bradshaw sensed something was wrong. After the show, she refused to go out with him, saying he was too “creepy.””
Thanks, gang, that was another fun night. That music really brings back memories but I can't believe back in 1973 it was the "New" Dating Game. The Newly Wed game is another one from that period that got kind of racy for it's time but often very funny. Your Arnold impersonations aren't bad, lol. Keep 'em coming!
8:29 "and as your prize, we're buying you dinner at a restaurant down the street" ... this reminded me of the film "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind" (2002); a film topical to this TV show and review-worthy on its own.
That was fun. Never thought Armie was attractive 😬. Hoping you guys will check out more Wanda In Living Color, particularly the skits Massage and Dracula. Hilarious stuff. Ty.
Hey guys, I really wanted to see your reaction but the reverb between what was playing on your channel and the dating game I gave up. I’m sorry if you posted again, I’ll watch.
That was one of the most awkward things I've ever seen. Now we know why Arnold was so motivated to get pumped. He probably couldn't get a date if he looked like an ordinary guy.
Suzanne Somers and John Ritter was on The Dating Game.
I think Richard Ramirez (The Night Stalker) was on the Dating Game too.

He literally says his bio in the clip
I remember seeing Tom Selleck on this show, too.

I would love to see your reaction to a Barney Miller episode about hash brownies

I met him that year at an autograph session at our local mall. I was 10, and have no idea what happened to it.

…”he looks like Gaston…”🤣🤣🤣
Rodney Alcala was a serial killer who appeared on The Dating Game.
Kudos for reacting to this. I was only 10 years old in 1973.
The Dating Game = Love Connection 1980's kind of Dating Game
Michael Jackson was on the dating game.
You guys should check the old classic "Match Games" from the 1973 - 1982... 😂
Not sure what’s more entertaining you guys stoned or the clip itself! Lol. 🤣🤪😳
hello! If you are still reacting to TV shows from the past, don't miss "The Honeymooners'! Oh..."The Flintstones" too 😂
Now check out the episode where the active serial killer won.
Believe it or not Robert Acala was on this show and he went on to become a famous serial killer
Tom Selleck was one of the bachelor’s
There are other famous people went on this game such as Tom Selleck of original Magnum and Bluebloods.
That was fun. Never thought Armie was attractive 😬. Hoping you guys will check out more Wanda In Living Color, particularly the skits Massage and Dracula. Hilarious stuff. Ty.
Gotta check out the Newlywed Game and the Gong Show.
Arnold to all three women: "Quick, there's no time! Get in the limo!!"
😂
I was Born June of 1973...Arnold is Old....LOL

He looks like one of the Von Erich's from wrestling
"He's got the 3rd ski"😅🤣
Boy did those girls dodge a bullet
They missed out on the highest paid actor in the world and real estate mogul.
You guys should look at the episode with young teen Michael Jackson 🤩
That was one of the most awkward things I've ever seen. Now we know why Arnold was so motivated to get pumped. He probably couldn't get a date if he looked like an ordinary guy.
Michael Jackson was on here when he was 13 or so...he seemed unimpressed-- I'm sure his tyrannical father made him go on the show😒.
I wanna see the kid eat dog food
She has girly man muscles.
hga ha ha I'm first nanananaaaaanaaaa..
