When Conway passed, i said no one would ever be able do his music justice. I was Wrong!! Glenn does a fantastic job on all Conway songs, as he does with everything he sings. As Conway did, Glenn puts his soul into his music.
Amen, Glenn may not be Conway (no one will ever be) but he does the song and Conway justice. Closest thing to Conway outside of his own son and grandson (they can both cover his stuff to a T as well).
I'm a 40 yr old man that loves the late and great Conway Twitty. Unfortunately I've also lost my father so this song is very special to me. I've listened to this several times and WOW!!! Sounds soo much like Conway and moving with emotion, just like Conway always did. It took me several minutes to compose myself so I could write this comment. CONWAY IS PROUD MY FRIEND!!!!
I understand that. I just lost my daddy Jan. 14 and this brought tears. My daddy bought me every album he made back in 1976. I never thought anyone could ever sound like Conway. wow
@@savagedude9727 I lost my dad at 13. You will be told it get's easier. It doesn't. You just learn to go forward with life and make the best of it. I'll be 32 this year, nearly 20 years without him. Just keep your head up and don't let the grief consume you. You will get through it. If I can, anyone can. God bless you.
I tell ya what, Conway would be so proud. To just have someone today help carry his torch. Today's country don't hold a candle to country like It was back during Conways time And before him. That song is pure country gold.
Daniel Allen I couldn't agree more with your sentiments! I think of my 7 y/o son every time I hear this song! Especially meaningful to me now, since my wife and son's Momma passed away when he was 4 y/o... It is definitely my job and I couldn't have a more rewarding career than seeing him grow! This song reminds me of the importance of being a Daddy!
This is my dads song to us kids, always has been, and growing up sometimes is different answers to us were simply, "that's my job". Six months ago we moved into a house we built right next door to him with some land he gifted us a few years back. He turned 73 two days ago and it's been my greatest joy and a dream come true to move back home. Now I'm here for him, returning all the many favors accumulated over the years.

He is great. Tears flowing since I lost my son at 38 yrs old April 22. 2023. His job was stolen 2.5 years ago by a vile vindictive cheating ex wife. I miss and love you son. I will be here for them if allowed. You were defeated and God knew it was time for you to come home.
I can't make it through this song without crying like a baby. This is so much of my life with my father. Watching the man who was my hero slowly fade away as I became his caretaker. I wouldn't have changed anything, even knowing how hard it was to say goodbye.
My father loved this song. He would always tell me this. When my Momma past I was 18. He took me into his home and made me feel like family in his new life. He told me "that's my job" He died in 98. He never got to see his grandchildren, but I tell my daughter's this all the time. I believe you have been chosen by Conway to carry on his legacy
I can't stop listening to this and I cry every time, my real father was never in the picture, I've only had my step-dad. But you know there's a difference in a father and a dad, a father is who you're born from, a dad is the man that you look up to and has devoted his life to you and that's what my step-dad was and still is to me. I love him as my real dad and no matter who I talk to I always refer to him as my real dad. I regret not telling him I loved him as much as he deserved to hear it. :'(
