I lost my dad to cancer he was 48 my hero. Thought he was inveceable then watch him struggle for his last breath. Then a 1 year and seven months later my little brother died in a car wreck he was only 20. My poor momma she just was never the same. She died in her sleep at 54 I am pretty sure of a broken heart. I have always hid my pain and tried to teach others that there are more important things then money and material things. I met my husband and was able to have him learn from my heartache about what was important. His dad passed away only 2 months after my Mom we watched him struggle from his last breath. Then in November 2019 I took his mom for a colonastopy appointment and she never awoke from the procedure and died. I have watched so many people I have loved pass away. I truly know what matters and what don't. I wish others would have that perceptive. I have 3 kids a daughter and twin boys. My daughter hot pregnant and lost her first baby. She keep trying And now I have beautiful grandson that is named after my little brother Tyson. He has red hair and blue eyes and he is perfect. Now that is something.
In 2012, I watched my precious daugther and mother fighting for their lives against horrible fatal diseases till both of their hearts of gold finally got tired and stop pumping. GOD'S PEACE AND BLESSINGS TO ALL OF YOU GOING THROUGH💜

Man Craig Morgan is one of the best , he's a legend , I heard he rescued a kid from a fire and helped put it out and then also he is a Veteran of the army and served over 15 years , and on top of that his son died a year ago , much respect to you Morgan , you're a legend

Surviving Hurricane Ian in SW Florida makes this song hit home and echoes with TRUTH and HOPE. I am now restoring power to my own neighbors. Very Humbling.

I lost my grandfather on 11/09/2015 this song was him, He served our country in Vietnam, He worked his entire life since a kid, he was a kid of 12 brothers and sisters, his mother and father were rebels you could say, My grandpa married the love of his life about 49 years ago, He's loved her longer and in may of this year, He lost his wife.. After that he found out he had cancer, He went from working every day doing flooring being 68 years old to not being able to lift his head.. his heart just peacefully went slow, He went painless.. Rest in peace Grandpa, You will be missed.
I'm so sorry about your grandparents, it's saddening that people like that are taken advantage of in this day and age, that is a beautiful way to live, I wish you all the best for the future
+llepstnacI I lost my father 11/15/2015. My condolences a true country man and he taught me well. His favorite movie was the Coal Miner's Daughter, first time I saw my father cry. November 15th will be a day I will never forget. My father died on my sister's birthday now deceased.
+Rosslyn Jones I'm sorry for your loss, Coal Miner's Daughter was a great movie, Your father sounds like a great guy and he obviously raised a great child, whom he felt will go far in life, He went to his next life because he wanted to watch over you as you succeed in everything you've wanted to do, he might be gone in person but remember, he's here just as much as anyone else is, Actually he's stronger & happier. Keep your chin up, I'm not gonna say it gets easier cause it won't but just remember he wouldn't want you upset over it, He's happy so why not be happy for him here? :) Have a great night and happy New Years and merry late Christmas!
This reminds me of my Dad . His favorite thing to say before every story was “ let me tell you something” . He lost everything in the flood of 93. He told FEMA to get off his property . He wanted nothing from them. He rebuild on his own. He passed away at 67 in 2007. I sure miss him. His tombstone says “ let me tell you something”
I'm sorry about what your dad went through...Simple music can make you sing, a simple hug can make you feel, better, simple things can make you happy, I hope my simple hello will put a smile on your face.. Hello!!! How are you doing today, please pardon me for intruding into your privacy but I just wanted to know if you're a fan ? Have a great day.. Stay Safe
My cervical cancer is back spot on my kidney and colon the end of the month I go for a biopsy then treatment so this song I dedicate to me bc I'm a fighter and I'm going to spread my wings fly and beat cancer
I remember hearing this song when it first came out and thinking how tragic it was for that man to live through all that and then only two weeks ago I sat in room 114 ICU at the hospital with my own wife and held her hand as I watched the heart monitor flatline and I know exactly what he means, she had a heart of gold and she was the love of my life, fly high My Sweet Angel! Love you forever!
Hits even better when it’s your dad that shows you this song that you forgot about. I can’t thank him enough for everything he’s done for me and everything he keeps doing for me. It definitely is appreciated and acknowledged
@@craigmorganofficial9894 Mr. Greer, I gave my heart and soul back to the Lord just three weeks ago.. i was in the wilderness for over 20 years! My mother in law was supposed to pick us up at the Savanna Airport 3 weeks ago. We called several times and no answer a neighbor went to check on her and found her unresponsive. We were they ro take her back to Northern Indiana with us. While she laid in the hospital while i packed her things, well me and an 85 year man, who ministered to me for 3 days and i am glad he did. I felt alone, sad, depressed, anxious, and I started talking to God, then i prayed for his forgiveness and he did give it to me very quickly. I was high on Jesus the rest of that stay and the 16 hour drive back home. Until i was on I 65, few miles from West Lafayette, purdue country, when a big rig decided to pass me in a narrow road construction area. I thought i was gonna die, nearly pushed me into a barrier, i was in a 20 ft uhaul, with all my mother in laws possesions. I pulled into a rest stop a mile down the road. I cried, thanked God for steering the wheel for me. I got out of the truck hit the ground and thought i was having a heart attack. My blood pressure was 205/120, yeah near stroke level. I was calling out for help, no one would come to me lating on the ground calling out to Jesus, thanking him for saving my soul, and preparing me for what i thought was my last day on earth. A man came to me, an Angel, he prayed with me, he laid hands on me, we spoke in tongues, and i felt sweet release. I thought i had died on gone to heaven. The police, emt's and other first responders showed up. I asked the officer to get the name of the man who helped me, prayed with me, kept me more calm, gave me sips of water, the officer said he must have left cuz my description didnt match anyone on the scene. A pure angel, i believe with all my heart. The officer said the teuck deiver who thought he clipped me stopped down the road. Shaken up and distraught he called 911 also, was worried about me. So i know when people are in the greatest need, or may be in peril, God sends an angel so we are not alone, to either say goodbye to this old world or calm us when he knows he isn't taking us home, so we are not alone, when it's our time to go. So your son was with and is still with the angels on that tragic day. You're songs Almost Home and The Father,My Son and the Holy Ghost, came to my mind shortly after I was in the ambulance. For that day, i had all of them with me, over that span of 3 days he was with me and still is with me forever and ever. Though i never knew your son, but i thought of him as well, and you too, for the songs you write and sing so courageously. Thank you for your service, the military and the service you provide with tour loving music, it helps me each day. I hope you and your family are doing better and better. You will heal once you go home to be with your boy. I hope to see you on your tour again soon. I just want to hug you in a caring, Godly way to say thank you. Good night sir

Thank God for this song! Helped me cope. Lost three brothers, two sister-in-laws, and my boyfriend of five year since 2017. Thank you Craig Morgan!! You do a fantastic job singing this song!!!
Three years ago I watched my grandfather as he was passing, I was at the nursing home every day wanting to assist him into the next life and be there for my family. Death is a tough thing to watch but I know he'll be at those pearly gates waiting for his kids and grandkids and even great grandkids. He'll run to us and hug us hard, it'll be a joyful day, he'll get to see my son again and run with him, we'll get to go hunting and fishing again. I know, on the third anniversary of his death, he's still hunting and fishing with his father
Iv always felt invisible... I used to be a Sunday school teacher then I got ms and lost most of my eye sight ended up cane bound.... When I spent this last year alone I listened to everyone of Craig's songs looking at it with a different point of view since loosing my son and my brother and my pa paw I know he'll probably never see this but you saw me I haven't been seen since I lost my loved ones and you brought me back to faith and I cannot thank you enough from seat 13❤ Thank You for Your Service Sir and thank you for telling me not to give up... Because of you I finally feel like I won't give up... You told me not to ....thank you for the best day of my entire life ❤❤
I'm literally sitting here in tears after this song. My grandmother and practically my second mother who helped raise me is at home in our care while she slowly passes away from a stroke. This song and songs alike really help me put things into perspective. Shit like this hasn't happened to me yet. It feels like you are dead inside but as they say, "Grief is God's way of determining the amount of love you had for someone. " May God take care of you in heaven Mazzy and please watch over anyone who also came here in remembrance of a loved one. ❤️🙏

My father has stage 4 cancer.. He is my best friend, my idle. I'm scared to loose him. I've never really seen my dad scared but I think he is now not of dying but of everything not said or done... Make sure you tell your loved ones just how much they mean to you.. Don't miss that chance!!!!
"Then he reached down in the rubble and picked up a photograph Wiped the dirt off of it with the hand that he still had He put it to his lips and said man she was something But this ain't nothin'" One of my all-time favourite lines.

I lost my best friend, my brother at the age of 11, worst day of my life. He was only 11 as well. We were twins, now im all alone in this world. That was 4 years ago and everyday of my life i think about him. I even go back to my old middle school sometimes and look at his locker, the desk he sat in, and at nights if i ever wake up for what ever reason, i go into the guest room and sleep in his bed, the sheets have never been changed since he passed. And i now your watching over me Matthew, nothing in this world will be worse that that.
I feel u, I lost my brother last year and that’s the worst feeling ever. And it’s true, nothing in this world is worst than the pain I felt the morning he left.

@@HarryTwain-ks2ke The Midwest. Ah yes, lyrics are where the music truly is. Craig has been one of my top go too artists for not just his music, but his faith. For a very long time. His songs speak multitudes. You can tell when an artist feels what they’re singing and he most definitely makes everyone who hears feel it to.
This old man is a tough SOB! To experience what he experienced with that great attitude is amazing! There are many people like him from that forgotten generation. God bless all troops but especially the Vietnam vets!
He's a bit of a story Teller you can close your eyes and see the story he's singing it's awesome down to earth and the truth just what we need in today's world thanks Craig!!!!
this song makes me think of my grandmother. she lived through enough heart ache for 2 lifetimes. she went through the depression, buried her husband a son and had another in prison. but she always seemed stronger. I miss her so much. she was everything to me
I come back to this song from time to time, and always leave grateful--but with tears in my eyes. Sometimes it feels like the best people go through pure hell, while others can cheat and steal their way through life with no consequences. I don't understand it, but just like the song says, "There are things that matter--and there are things that don't."
Bro, you're not lying. When I was a kid I just sang it. Now it makes me cry like a little girl. Experiencing real life tragedies will change how you see, hear and perceive things.
I've heard of Craig Morgan but never heard of any of your music. I listen mostly to rock. Just finished your book and now am watching your music videos. " This Ain't Nothing" and "What I Love about Sunday". The emotion you put into these songs is very clear on your face and in your movements. It is not acting, you are definately feeling the words you are singing. Both my boys are Marines. Even though I lost the oldest one 20 yrs ago, I am still so proud that he died doing what he loved and wanted to do. These song hit me hard and I love them for it. I am now a Craig Morgan fan and will continue binging on your music with tears of loss, pride and love in my eyes. Thank you Craig.
I got the horseshoe.. I just wish I could go back home. I don't have a daddy no more. Or a mother. That girl was so nice to let me come in. I felt like miranda.

this is exactly the song to listen to and realize that... you have survived the worst that life can throw at you. so why be afraid...? even if it kills you, IT AINT NOTHIN compared to what you've already survived.

I'm in a fight of my life. To fight for something i truly believe in. I have people tell me to give up. My Dad died fighting for what is right. I will never quit or NEVER give up. He has mentioned that this ain't nothing. Tall Iowa Country Boy from Madison County. I will NOT Fail. This ain't nothing. God has my back. My Guardian Angels above has my back.
The heart of the South! That fella is from Tennessee and that particular area is beginning to see worse and worse weather every year in what is now dubbed the "Dixie Alley.""
@@livingtorture5745 At least the people who live in those states have weather reporters who genuinely care about them and know how bad tornadoes can get. James Spann at the ABC affiliate in Birmingham, Alabama is a good example of this. He was on the air for eight hours straight during the April 27, 2011 tornado outbreak.
This is Craig's most powerful song, and ranks near the top for Country songs relating truth. People are the most important assets in life, as they enrich us in matters money and possessions never can! For example, if I lost my Dad at age 8, I shudder to imagine what type of man I would have became without his guidance and influence.
Sappy as it may be, this song actually does a fine job at exhibiting Rural America's resilient and stoic nature. Small town and rural folks do things wayyy differently, even today when social media is supposed to make us all the same formless blob of a collective society. I always felt like Morgan was one of mainstream country's "unsung" talents. It's also sad AF about his son.
My buddy in the U.S. Marshalls gave me this token of wisdom when I went to him about my issues: Life is like a shit sandwhich, and every day's another bite. Still not sure how the fuck that's supposed to help, but he's the one with the fancy degree in psychology.
I met my wife Holly 52 we met when she was 16 me 19 i lost her 3 months ago tomorrow 36 years together to cancer she was my everything im at such a loss i lost my son Blake 28 years old 2 years ago june 2020 to a swept under the carpet murder and 3 months later my father Glen to cancer im amazed that im still here take care of those closest to you because you never no what tommorow may bring material things can be replaced people cant .
This song couldn't be more true. There are things that matter and things that don't. A lot of people don't seem to realize that. People look at me like I'm crazy when I let things roll off my back, and I always tell them "it ain't nothing dude, there bigger problems than this"
Napa man I hear ya what this song is really about is the fact that people are more important than stuff I'm still learning that fact but after hearing this song and listening to the words I actually understand what he is talking about and it is a really powerful song and it hits you right in the feels that's what a song like this is supposed to do
I am 42 now. This song 15 years ago would have just been another good Country song. Now it means 1000000 times more. I have lost so much recently and a storm could only do so much. Material items can be replaced but lives and what you do in that time cannot.
Very sorry for your loss. I still have my Dad, but my wife's Father passed away back in 2003. We still miss him a great deal. This song is pretty awesome.

Endured Hurricane Helene's destruction a week ago. Those of us who can are cleaning up her path and rebuilding. Thought of this song, tonight. Pray for those that lost loved ones, or who are still searching the wreckage for those they love. Material things can be replaced or rebuilt, losing people is the worst part of these kinds of disasters.

Here I am a 36 year old African American ... Got this song on repeat with watery eyes ... I am a fan, Sir - KUDOS!
The human soul has no color. We're all children of God. Welcome to this song that hits all of us in the heart just the same.
I'm thinking about the good folks having a hard time in NC, TN and FL right now. They need our prayers and whatever we can spare.
I just lost my husband 2 years ago. He was a navy seal. I still cry every day. Giving me a flag just even cover the pain. Just gives me something to hold while I cry
Hello Kelley.. how are you doing?

This was his favorite song
@Realcraigmorgan__ I’m hanging in there thank you for asking. I’m have to say I’m a bit surprised to hear from you. Thank you so very much for caring enough to check on me. It’s weird that I just now received this notification. Tomorrow would be my wedding anniversary 15 years.
One of the greatest country singers of all time.
My grandpa lost his dad when he was young. He lost his wife,(my grandma) just 4 months ago. He was married to her for 50 years, and he was holding her hand when she died. Boy this describes him. Love and miss you Grandma king.
Surviving Hurricane Ian in SW Florida makes this song hit home and echoes with TRUTH and HOPE. I am now restoring power to my own neighbors. Very Humbling.
When I need a reality check of what matters in life ; This is what I listen too. Amazing song with so much heart and soul in it.

+Kaitlin Smith thank you, his funeral was today we had a 21 gun salute for him and all, it was real nice and I'm sure it's what he would have wanted.
:) Have a great night and happy New Years and merry late Christmas!
lost my childhood friend in nov 2014 my grandmother feb 2015 and my father nov 17th 2 days after my bday .. rip to your grandfather

Well almost
My cervical cancer is back spot on my kidney and colon the end of the month I go for a biopsy then treatment so this song I dedicate to me bc I'm a fighter and I'm going to spread my wings fly and beat cancer
You got this
I remember hearing this song when it first came out and thinking how tragic it was for that man to live through all that and then only two weeks ago I sat in room 114 ICU at the hospital with my own wife and held her hand as I watched the heart monitor flatline and I know exactly what he means, she had a heart of gold and she was the love of my life, fly high My Sweet Angel! Love you forever!
Hits even better when it’s your dad that shows you this song that you forgot about. I can’t thank him enough for everything he’s done for me and everything he keeps doing for me. It definitely is appreciated and acknowledged
Thank you 😊 so much for your unconditional love and support towards my music and career. I appreciate you from the bottom of my heart 💖
I never forget about my dad ever he is who made me who I am and all this wld not happen if he didn't raise me right even if I screwed up and tainted our name I am sorry Dad I fucked up I was wrong and your the one to give all this credit to you tonight me every thing I know thank u for putting up with my shit and having patients with me it's hard to deal with my self most always I miss you so much I am mad u left me and let ppl hurt me copdand etc u protected my sister's when they got into trouble but I never got into trouble but when I do I am alone

Masterpiece. Will never get old. Speaks volumes. Craig used to be a reservist from my beloved state of South Carolina. Pure patriot.
Hello, how are you doing today?
@Realcraigmorgan__ better these days, just appreciating nature like my grandpa taught me to
@Realcraigmorgan__ since you first debuted back in 2000, I was 4 years old and I’m 28 now if that says anything
You told me not to ....thank you for the best day of my entire life ❤❤
We need more songs with this powerful message and influence to them!
U are so right about that
If you haven't heard it, listen to Craig Moran's song, "Tough".
12 years later and still an all time favorite
💯 Craig nailed this song and no one could have performed it better!

Thats ALL you have? Sound pretty fortunate to me
I'm 49 years my dad died in my lap when I was 12 from a heartattack I remember closeing his eyes like it was yesterday this song takes me home
My father has stage 4 cancer.. He is my best friend, my idle. I'm scared to loose him. I've never really seen my dad scared but I think he is now not of dying but of everything not said or done... Make sure you tell your loved ones just how much they mean to you.. Don't miss that chance!!!!
"Then he reached down in the rubble and picked up a photograph
Wiped the dirt off of it with the hand that he still had
He put it to his lips and said man she was something
But this ain't nothin'"
One of my all-time favourite lines.
Annie, as I read this it came out.
So I actually sang this
This Song almost brakes Your heart when he talks about losing his Wife of 50yrs.This Song tells what s really important in Life.Alway Love hearing this Great Song.Thank You for doing such an excellent job Singing it.A Real Country Song not like today's music.
"This ain't nothing money can't replace". Cold hard truth.
This song reminds me of my late great grandfather. Passed away 10 years ago and I still cry when I hear it
My dad struggled and suffered and fought courageously. I held his hand when he died. He was a warrior in everything he did. Time will never erase him.

If it don’t kill you it’s gotta make you stonger

I come back to this song from time to time, and always leave grateful--but with tears in my eyes. Sometimes it feels like the best people go through pure hell, while others can cheat and steal their way through life with no consequences. I don't understand it, but just like the song says, "There are things that matter--and there are things that don't."
Well said brother
Thank you. I still mean it.
Well said.

It’s crazy how you grew up to this song and never really understood until I got older. Truly a beautiful song.

@@edgreen7670 I lost my brother and my sister
Amen this entire song hits deep especially the part when he said he held his wife of 50 years died in his hands 😢
Lost my home, lost my children because of someone lies, life is hard but faith keeps me going and I know one day I will get my children back
mal chick I know you will, just keep your head up and never quit.
This man sings with a massive heart. The heart of the Midwest.
The heart of the South! That fella is from Tennessee and that particular area is beginning to see worse and worse weather every year in what is now dubbed the "Dixie Alley.""
@@livingtorture5745 That's a great place
Such a true song, The more you have to go through, the more you can go through. Im still healing from PTSD. But this song hits home.
you got this brother! keep fightin!
My buddy in the U.S. Marshalls gave me this token of wisdom when I went to him about my issues:
Life is like a shit sandwhich, and every day's another bite.
Still not sure how the fuck that's supposed to help, but he's the one with the fancy degree in psychology.
I don't think that helps. Getting up is hard enough some days... knowing I have to eat a shit sandwich doesn't make me look forward to it. haha

This song couldn't be more true. There are things that matter and things that don't. A lot of people don't seem to realize that. People look at me like I'm crazy when I let things roll off my back, and I always tell them "it ain't nothing dude, there bigger problems than this"
Napa i have the same mentality as you. I have a disability but this aint nothing
Ian Oas same 😕 I never tell anyone I have it though because I want to be treated the same but....it's hard
Napa man I hear ya what this song is really about is the fact that people are more important than stuff I'm still learning that fact but after hearing this song and listening to the words I actually understand what he is talking about and it is a really powerful song and it hits you right in the feels that's what a song like this is supposed to do
Napa amen
So someone else with heart still out there!
This put me in tears because I lost my baby brother when I was five I was devastated but this song helped me through that!!❤
My mother met Craig Morgan and got me a signed T-shirt and a signed CD…. I still have them 22 years later…. Love me some Craig
I am 42 now. This song 15 years ago would have just been another good Country song. Now it means 1000000 times more. I have lost so much recently and a storm could only do so much. Material items can be replaced but lives and what you do in that time cannot.
One line in the chorus gets me everytime. "I lost my daddy when I was 8 years old." Mine walked out when I was 8 and died 3 years later.
I'm sorry. 😭

The pain in his eyes at 3:22 is heart breaking, amazing song listen to it all the time.
Absolutely. Each and every time
Saw this man live when I was 16, and I swear he changed my life forever. Standing next to the stage as he sing this song. We need more music like this.
I saw him live 2 years ago for my dirty 30 in a small town in western Minnesota, I promised myself I wasn't going to cry when he played this, I lied to myself. Song kills me every time I hear it
God bless anyone who can help anyone that’s struggling.

This song hits close to me cause I love visiting North Carolina when I'm vacationing in the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee and we pray for the people around Asheville that lost their homes recently from flooding that Hurricane Helene did to the region.
Still one of the best ever songs. Here in 2019 anyone?

Beautiful song. I love the emotion coming from Craig's voice.
Yep
Yeah. I usually only listen to country when I'm sad. When my depression acts up. It's a good song for the heart.
I lost my grandpa many years ago my momma said that she sang him his favorite song and held his hand until he drew his last breath. I love you pawpaw Charles I miss you so much.😢❤️💘💝💖💗💓💞💕❣️ He was such a good man.
I hope that others pain always brings tears flowing down my face. I'd rather pass on than to ever get where my heart doesn't break for everyone.
Wish to God I wasn't SO altruistic... I feel pain from people that don't even deserve my boots wiped upon.
Trina McLauchlin Yeah, I feel for them too. Because they wouldn't be like that if they weren't absolutely miserable. Happy people aren't nasty towards others.
David U R SO, SO RIGHT!
Trina McLauchlin Thank you Trina! :) The pursuit of a pure heart is my life mission so I've spent countless hours contemplating and studying life and human behavior. lol
David I will never understand what makes people tick nor "get my head around some of the crazy things they do."
GOD I LOVE THIS SONG Y'ALL ❤
