The biggest thing about Queen Elizabeth's Coronation is that it was the first to be viewed on television and brought Television to the Country on a large scale.

I preferred the late Queen’s coronation more but still loved the coronation though. I hope mine and Woody.EXE’s coronation will be just as special as the late Queen’s when it takes place on Wednesday 20th July 2023 which marks my first birthday as Queen

It is not the only coronation in living memory. There are still people around who remember the one in 1937.
Good point, but those people are a vanishingly small number and would have been children at the time so it's highly unlikely any of them were inside Westminster and not that likely any of them were in London to see the parade outside.

I still can't understand why the recent coronation seemed very monotonous. Why can't we have a real traditional coronation like before such as Queen Elizabeth II's (1953), King Edward VII's (1936) or Queen Victoria's (1838). The worst of all, it was filled with FOREIGNERS, I prefer only British people attend the coronation as it always had been traditionally and historically. Britain needs to step up and oust these Africans, Asians and other tribes outside of this land! UK IS OURS! 🇬🇧👑✊🏻

Not to mention that Diana was the first to have affairs. Diana wasn't the victim in that marriage. They weren't compatible, and couldn't make it work. We'll never know if Diana would found her happy ever after. But Charles clearly has, as proven by the fact he's been with Camilla for decades. Honour them, and let them be happy.

If you don’t keep all the traditions then there is no point. Something was lacking in Charles coronation. There was no goosebump moment. I expected the trumpet to be louder at least.

I searched this because after watching King Charles coronation yesterday. Just to see how hers was it was different because she held the orb and th scepter in her hand whilst walking he didn't and he could make camilla his queen whilst elizabeth couldn't make Philip her king
Yes he did hold the orb and sceptre on the way out of the Abbey. Look again. And as a woman traditionally takes her husbands name when they marry and the man does not take his wife’s name, so it is with monarchs. A Queen Regnant cannot make her husband a king, but a King can make his wife a queen.

There wasn't the millions today like in our late Queens coronation. It was rather dreary. I watched the king crowned but couldn't be bothered to watch cowmila crowned. She is no one's queen.

Whatever the cost of the Coronation on top of that comes 750 million dollars. Read the history and learn from it, same for all of us to do so and learn the RF may live in opulence but so do many others, difference being the RF give of their time every day meeting with people others would not be bothered with at all the RF go to them as service. 100s of charities unknown rely on the RF and 100s of others contact BP every year to ask for them to represent and showcase what they do, it's how charities survive. I can't say I'm an expert, far from it but abolishing something we don't fully understand and millions of people love seems fruitless. I'm Australian and see no sense in not keeping something that would / could be replaced by a Biden type president.

I dont care about the "Royal Family" nor do 1000s of people but as a 22 year old it will be kinda nice to see our own king become crowned cause it will mark history as the first British king in the 21st century since King Edwards i think that was his names death.
It is historically an occasion for you and a lot of others to look into the history starting at 1066 and see the battles fought, won and lost to see where we are now, it is such a rich interesting history and take you through times we often don't think of or find boring.
This brings history to life as it has for millions, like myself who always knew of the Queen and grew up only to discover from my mum history was not just romantic and gruesome but so much more. Enjoy, I hope you have fun because you're going to see in your life William ascend as well with Catherine and see Prince George turn into a hunk!
