    The secret that hurts deeper than the symptoms.. is looking around during this hopeless, dark nightmare, and realizing how alone you are... how unwanted and weak you have become, how far your loved ones have let you fall, and when you finally came out and asked them for help your friends and family look at you as a complete stranger and turn their backs on you until you become clean....

      How far your loved ones have "let" you fall? Nobody owes you anything once you've betrayed them and yourself. You do however, owe them! They deserve you sober and trustworthy. Life is to short to waste and if you want to waste yours, not there fault buddy.

      You use the words loved ones I don't know what loved ones are is it an assumption all addicts have loved ones many are total alone hence the drug use their families are indifferent to them at best or the cause of their addiction

    Hi guys, it is extremely difficult to get off Heroin, it is no joke. This man really tried to explain it and tries his best. It is so obvious he has never been a heroin addict. He learnt all this by studying addicts or maybe observed them in a clinic. Well done. The deeper thing is, 'it's not that simply and it's extremely hard' to kick the habit. I would advise to change your environment, move to another country as far away, preferably somewhere 'in the middle of nowhere and rural', cut all ties with your 'old buddies'.
    Being abroad, you still can keep in contact with close family and friends. After 3 years of living 'the farming live' with just the joy of life, farming, tending goats, chickens, sheep, geese and dogs. Learning to live of the land, eggs, goats milk, sheep-wool, weeding, planting, growing your own crops. I did this, and it is healing and rewarding. But don't get me wrong, the heroine, if you like it or not will always at some times in your live and will be inside your head. You just have to learn to with it.
    20 years on I am still clean with 2 beautiful sons, a good job, 2 dogs and a lovely partner. It can be done, but you really need to want it. You need to fight it. Seeing the results of my 'clean life' makes me feel I finally have won!!😉

      Congrats on the sober time! It sounds like you have built a life that you love. It just so happens that Rob Mo has been sober for around 10 years, and he’s the clinical director of the most effective treatment center in the county. We are actually extremely effective with people struggling with heroin and other opiates and opioids in particular. But you aren’t the first person to think Rob is a normie. You can’t judge a book by its cover. In fact, most people would have no idea our graduates ever struggled with addiction. We get people healthy. Thanks for sharing your story. It’s sounds like you have a great life.

I mean there's also reasons ppl take it you can't say it has only negative effects cuz in that case it wouldn't even be so addictive. Also when you stop it, for all opiates have to stop very slow, like lowering 10% only a week. Or the other option is to get on bupre or methadon. I don't rly believe heroin in itself is so bad, after all medications like this, like morphine or other strong painkillers do help & give a lot of ppl their life back, or eases pain with cancer, or when they're dying etc, so heroin itself is not the devil :) its what u do with it. I can talk from personal expierencer how opiates can help with diff stuff, and save your life even. Not heroin but just to say these meds don't fully deserve the bad reputation they have.

      I can proudly tell you the methadone is ALOT WORSE. You are better off going through the withdrawal of heroine which will be maybe a week vs methadone withdrawal since its in your bones and your whole body and it takes alot ALOT ALOT longer to get off. Months to get off. They don't tell you this but methadone is alot worse and the people who work at the methadone clinic will tell you that you made a mistake getting on methadone.

I struggle with the concept that these individuals are suffering while their disease has made it near impossible for them to choose recovery, yet society and the law doesn’t recognize the handicap and allow a guardian to make the choice on their behalf. Casey’s Law is only available in two states but it seems like it is something society needs to love these individuals enough to get them the treatment they deserve. I'm sitting here racking my brain. My ex and close friend or whatever we call ourselves we were using buddies for that whole covid beginning.all my u.e$ was going to h. He is not in a program now but the last one he was in it was residential he did 90 in 90 and even helped out at sparc. I felt like I owed him bc he got kicked out for me being there when I shouldnt have. I'll have a year July 4 which we had around the same time before he relapsed and I used with him. We were both drinking and probably should have stayed away but I really love this man when he's sober. Two weeks ago I came over to his place and he had all this energy to clean which was the first red flag. His pupils were dilated .his skin was paler then usual (I seen him days before) his tip of his nose was red. His behaviors itching his leg and closing his eyes..I could hear it. He denied it saying he smoked weed. Said his roommate gave it to him. He got angry and grabbed me when I tried to leave. His hands were shaky.he make me feel like he was gonna get violent like he did before years ago when we were dope sick and annoyed. I want to raise this man up but he just seems comfy where he is at with his life. I'm not satisfied.i want more. I want to do better and get nice things. I dropped coffee off to him 4 days after that and seen he wasn't high. I don't live with him nor does he work or I work. The money he currently has was a gift from his grandmother so I can't ask if he's broke. I've been putting off going over his place though. I just don't trust him and something he said last time resonated with . "Is it Important if your right?"... It's not like he's worrying about me relapsing bc he knows I am held accountable and get drug tested and I am unemployed. But I also know that when we both used my money went for the drugs and he had half bc I wasn't not going to give it to him. But now he is almost out of money. He is not working.but he's a narcissist. Last time we were using he lied to me while I was working and had another girl giving him use of her car and other stuff. When I got my u.e he stopped that but I'm willing to bet he still will fish out someone else who will help him use if he's still doing it..which today on the phone. We spoke for a few minutes. He had me on speaker phone saying he was cleaning. He hardly ever cleans unless he's high. Sure he may arrange some for 30 seconds but he's telling me he cleaned the tub. And also he's bleeding money...I find myself addicted to himself As a person. I enjoy spending time with him but when he's high he's hard to be around. He knows I can tell so most of the day can go by before I hear anything from him. I think I'm going to set more boundaries this time and just hang out with my friend who just got back intouch with me again .thing happen for a reason right?

    Saying that heroin has NO possible medical uses is ridiculous. I’m not saying it’s a good idea to use it because it’s highly addictive but it’s GREAT for pain, insomnia, diarrhea, weight loss, anxiety, etc. Of course, the withdrawal is AWFUL if it’s used too much or too long, and those symptoms are basically everything I just listed in reverse X ten.

    • @TreeHouseRecovery
      @TreeHouseRecovery  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Heroin is classified as a schedule 1 narcotic. Schedule I drugs, substances, or chemicals are defined as drugs with no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse. There are plenty of safer and more effective ways to address pain, insomnia, diarrhea, weight loss and anxiety then heroin. If you need help getting off heroin, we are here for you.

      @@TreeHouseRecovery I’m clean thanks. So you’re telling me that if you were on a plane that crashed on an island, and you had to have someone amputate your foot… and there were NO pain meds but someone found a brick of heroin you’d tell them “Na, heroin is a schedule 1 narcotic with no current accepted medical uses”. Sure man, believe the lie.

    “No recognized medical value” lol. Plenty of other countries use diamorphine for medical use. The federal government in the USA is pretty funny about how they classify drugs, that’s all I’m saying. Diamorphine (heroin) can easily be used as a substitute for morphine, it has virtually the same effects, and just a slightly higher potency.

    One of my acquaintances liked me for 10 years, finally made his move, I responded favorably but then an opportunity from a street woman drug dealer came for him giving her sex in exchange for heroine and crack, he traded his affection for me to sex labor with her. He literally sold his body work and feelings for narcotics..THAT'S how bad a HEROINE addiction is.
