Hi, i just watched your Bohol vlog and got curious with your channel so I opened it and this one caught my attention because I myself have been hospitalized not just once but twice for Dengue. I was born and raised in the Philippines so mossie bites are a common thing with me. The problem with Dengue is that there are 4 strains (from what I've researched online), and although you get immunity from each upon recovery, your body also responds more poorly with each successive strain that you catch. I think though that I've probably caught all 4 strains by now (the first 2 undiagnosed ones I probably recovered easily from.) So I'm pretty confident I am completely immune now to all strains because I still get bit constantly by mossies yet I haven't gotten sick again (except for Covid at the height of the pandemic.)
Anyway, just sharing my own Dengue story. And glad you've recovered. :)

Sorry to hear you have been ill but happy you are better. We met you on the Kao Sok trip at Christmas. Quite the amazing story you guys. I (LA does ) never put on bug spray in Canada but you can bet we are going to bathe in it if we are anywhere where there is dengue fever. Thanks for sharing, and not all travel is rainbows and unicorns, sometimes it's really crappy!
