I’m a very conscientious individual and I have to keep myself from over thinking when writing lyrics because if I don’t I’ll be trying to do to many things at once and while shooting for perfection i usually throw out my work because it’s not perfect.
That being said, watching your videos has helped me understand that nobody has it all planned out from the beginning and I really appreciate how you took the time and made clear that when you write lyrics your mind is not focused on all the details, but instead you just write the lyrics in the moment and to break them down and see every pattern would take hours.

I dont think it makes it more catchy it makes it more complex lyrical miracle i wouldnt enjoy rapping along and most listeners would struggle to rap along to that I appreciate eminems music but half the time i dont rap along to the verses unless they’re simple. Most catchy parts are the hooks that are most simple and catchy and easy to rap along to. Its very tonguetwistery (i know thats not a word lol) but i am learning to rap and can rap pretty well but i struggle to rap along to this example at that speed.
Great video and amazingly put together i just think this is more complex than catchy.

Great video as always. I'm from the Caribbean and I listen to alot music of DanceHall /Reggae. And something that I have realized those artists rap alot about the everyday struggles, global issues and things people can relate to. That's something I'm gonna do starting now. When I rap one day I rap like kendrick next day Joey badass, next day Earl sweatshirt etc. And it frustrates me. I wanna rap like me, sound like me, deliver like me. NOBODY ELSE. WASTED THIS YEAR BEING LAZY. BUT MY DREAMS WON'T DIE BY THE WAY IS IT TOO LATE TO BE A RAPPER AT 25????????

Cole why did you break up gentleman in two parts bar two and three why did you cut it in two half it sounds better that way or it just the way you write on paper because it kind of sound different

Because that's how I structured it musically within the bar. I could have rapped it many different ways, but that's the one I chose to go with while I was working on the verse. Thanks for watching and commenting! ✌️😎 - Cole Mize
